  • Bobby Steele, who had been missing since April 11, 2023, was discovered deceased inside a wall of a vacant building located on the 600 block of Delaware Avenue in Wilmington.Bobby had departed from the residence he shared with his sister in Claymont, intending to meet an acquaintance on Market Street in Wilmington. This was on the same day he had been notified of his approval for a housing voucher through a HUD program, a milestone he had been working towards for over a year. Two hours after leaving his home, he made a phone call to his sister, which would be the last communication between them.Tonight we are joined by Kelly Canning the sister of Bobby Steele. Police deemed the discovery of Bobby's body inside a wall as unsuspicious, Kelly disagrees. Since her brothers disappearance Kelly has been an advocate and voice to say all missing people matter. When reporting her brother missing (3 weeks after his disappearance) police simply stated he did "not fit their criteria" to fill out a missing person report.

  • Joined by the president of the Elan School Survivors, Mark Babitz, we look into the dark history of a Maine reformatory school. The facility was closed down on April 1, 2011, due to reports of abuse, many from former students, dating back to its opening in 1970.Throughout its history, the school was faced with numerous allegations of student maltreatment. In 2001, Details magazine cited Élan as "among the most controversial of the nation's residential therapeutic communities." In 1975, Illinois state officials removed eleven children from the Élan program, alleging mistreatment. In the late-1970s, Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Max Ashburn visited the school after repeatedly hearing rumors of abuse, but the staff did not allow him entry into the school past the lobby. Following this, he began keeping a file in which he documented names and phone numbers related to Élan, as well as reported abuses.

  • ON SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2019, 33-YEAR-OLD BRANDON EMBRY WAS FOUND NUDE, UNCONSCIOUS, AND BARELY BREATHING IN A POOL OF HIS OWN BLOOD ON THE FLOOR OF HIS ASHEBORO, NORTH CAROLINA APARTMENT. HE HAD SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT TRAUMA AND WAS COVERED IN BLOOD, BRUISES, AND CUTS. HE WAS SO SEVERELY INJURED THAT HE DID NOT SURVIVE. INVESTIGATORS WERE QUICK TO CONCLUDE THAT BRANDON’S CAUSE OF DEATH WAS PNEUMONIA. THEY CLOSED HIS CASE LESS THAN SIX MONTHS AFTER HIS DEATH, STATING THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO INVESTIGATE BRANDON’S DEATH AS A HOMICIDE. THIS STATEMENT WAS MADE DESPITE THE OBVIOUS SIGNS OF A STRUGGLE, BRUTAL ASSAULT, AND A GIRLFRIEND WITH A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, OBSESSION, AND PATHOLOGICAL LYING. BRANDON’S MOTHER, SARAH HOWEVER, IS DETERMINED TO MAKE SURE THAT HER SON’S STORY IS HEARD AND THAT HE GETS JUSTICE, DESPITE WHAT THE ASHEBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT FAILED TO DO.
