In the final episode of season two, Duke plans a picnic trip to Diani Beach, his favourite landmark in Diani. At the beach, Duke introduces Darling to friendly Diani locals who treat Darling with respect and tenderness. When they arrive at their cabana, Duke unpacks the picnic basket his housekeeper carefully put together. Darling is pleasantly surprised by Duke's romantic side.
Darling takes advantage of her private moment with Duke and asks him non-intrusive questions about his dating history and time with Coco. Duke is surprisingly vulnerable and holds nothing back from Darling. He even goes further to confess that he is an open book when it comes to her.
At the end of the episode, Darling gives Duke her consent and agrees to this request.
Duke is happy, but the episode ends with another cliffhanger. Cheeky, Darling.

In this episode, Duke introduces Darling to Haven, his second home and escape from his busy life in Nairobi. Darling takes her listeners on an audio tour around Duke's impressive beach home. Over glasses of Champagne, Duke presents an exciting request that leaves Darling confused but intrigued.
Darling is now sure that Duke is a dominant and privately wonders if she is ready to go down that road with a man she just met. Duke assures Darling that she is not pressured to say yes to his request and can take all the time she needs. The episode ends with Duke escorting Darling to her private suite next to his.

Darling and Duke arrive at the gallery, all gussied up and looking like couple goals. Darling realizes that she recognizes the exhibition host and Duke's close friend, Charles Madekwe. While Duke and Darling cosy up in the gallery, a familiar face and voice from DOM's past interrupt their private moment.
Coco, the ex-everything, focuses her attention on Duke, leaving Darling to wonder if Coco meant more to Duke than he had let on.
After an uncomfortable and barely three-way exchange, Duke apologizes to Darling and invites her to spend a beach weekend with him. Darling accepts, but the invitation does nothing to quell her curiosity about Coco or to push away the burning questions in her mind.

Darling brings her listener into her first day at Radio Africa. Banke, the founder of Radio Africa, has a private conversation with Darling about Love and Shege and how much she enjoys listening to the show. Banke also warns Darling not to be distracted by Nairobi's nightlife and dating scene, which makes Darling question her budding romance with Duke.
At the end of her day at Radio Africa, Darling receives instructions from Duke, including what to have for dinner and when to nap. Even though Darling is surprised by the switch in Duke's tone, she is curious enough to follow his instructions. The episode ends with Darling drifting off to sleep with Duke on her mind.

Season 2 of Love and Shege opens with Darling sharing her first date experience with DOM. The morning after, Darling describes the ambience at the restaurant and how much she enjoyed sharing several meals and a bottle of Champagne with the Duke. The following day, Duke surprises Darling with a video message, a bouquet of flowers, and a reminder about his trip to Tanzania. As they exchange flirtatious but appropriate text messages, Darling prepares for her first day at Radio Africa.

Darling arrives at her hotel with DOM after a 45-minute drive from the airport. DOM drops her off at the front desk and tells her to rest before their dinner later that evening.
After a few hours of sleep, Darling wakes up to a text from DOM, which leads to a conversation about their dinner reservations at Mink Social House. She chooses a dress for the evening, and DOM tells her to have an espresso at 7 pm, which will be delivered to her room by the hotel manager. He also arranges for five candle options to be delivered to her room.
Darling gets ready for the evening and is picked up by Duke in the lobby. They exchange a warm embrace before heading out to dinner.

Duke then invites Darling to dinner before he leaves for Tanzania in a few days. As their flight is ready to board again, Darling reflects on their interaction, surprised by how much she has grown to like Duke quickly. She finds herself intrigued and eager for more.
