Nick weighs in on the answer to which the show selected and gives his thoughts on what song should be crowned if not their answer. Back at it again with another new episode and another new season of the Low End Marauders podcast! Nick kicks season five off by describing how some season five episodes will change throughout the season and gets right into the big news and uproar that has been going around. On September 8th, just hours before the beginning of kickoff on NFL Sunday week one, The NFL announced that Kendrick Lamar will be performing on the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 9th, 2025. (Incorrectly announced on the 5th while recording.) While some people have expressed excitement on Kendrick performing, many are PISSED to say that it should have been Lil Wayne who should have the spot. Nick explains how the process is selected for the show, should Wayne have a Halftime Show in the future and more!!

Back again with the season four finale! Nick holds down the fort as he kicks things off with his review on the 2024 BET Awards. The lone marauder gives his hot takes on the best, worst and WTF moments of the award ceremony and asks if or how BET can make their summertime ceremony more enjoyable for the at home viewers. Next, Kendrick Lamar popped out and showed people how to unite Los Angeles with a concert held at the Kia Forum in LA. The rapper surprisingly brought out rappers old and new to join him on stage on June 19th and dropped some Easter eggs for the viewers during the live broadcast. Nick gives his view on the entire live show and calls cap on someone saying that they weren't bothered on not being a part of the show. After that, Rick Ross gets punched in the face after a festival in Vancouver on June 30th. Seemingly due to the Teflon Don, playing Kendrick's "Not Like Us" on Drake's home turf. Nick will ask if the Kendrick/Drake beef is starting to go to far now that violence has entered the conversation. All that plus, laughs, album recommendations, shoutouts and more!!!

Back again and apologies for the late upload! Nick holds it down again with a brand new episode with A LOT to talk about! With everything going on with the Kendrick Lamar/Drake rap battle, we decided to spend this episode covering the entire saga, from it's beginning with Drake and J. Cole's "First Person Shooter" (October 3, 2023) and everything in between to Drake releasing "The Heart Part 6" (May 5). Nick gives his takes on everything that happened in the rap battle timeline and asks a big question at the end concerning the loser of the beef. All that, and shout outs, some jokes, album recommendations and a lot more!!

Late upload, but we are back again with another new episode of the Low End Marauders podcast! Nick holds things down again as he talks about how everyone is coming after Drake thanks to Future and Metro Boomin's new album We Don't Trust You. Nick gives his takes on Kendrick Lamar's verse on the much talked about track "Like That", if Kendrick does drop a diss track on Drake and if he should respond back. Plus, Nick quickly touches on Drake and Lil Wayne being caught in a picture using a teleprompter during a stop on Drake's tour. After that, Nelly stops by HBO's The Shop to say that he rapped in the hardest era to be number one. Among the likes of DMX, Jay Z, Eminem and many others. Nick breaks down each era of rap that he has lived through and gives his surprising answer on if Nelly is right. Later, Freaknik the documentary made it's way onto Hulu. The festival started in 1983 in Atlanta and soon became known as "black Spring Break" for students around the Atlanta area. The festival started to attract more and more students as its popularity grew throughout the 80s and 90s, but as the popularity grew, the more tense it got for students especially around 1996 with the Summer Olympics. Nick gives his review on the documentary and wonders if something as big as Freaknik could ever happen today in 2024. All that, plus, shout outs, album recommendation and more!!

After a long break the show is BACK for 2024 and back with another new episode of the show! Only Nick holds things down for this time around as he kicks things off by touching on why fans were underwhelmed by Jeezy's Tiny Desk performance. Fans called out the show by saying the audience in attendance was bad for the show, the setlist that he had and the location of the show. Nick gives his thoughts on everything and if he liked or hated the show. Next up, Cardi B came back with a new track "Like What (Freestyle)" which had a lot of people talking including Joe Budden who says the pretty girl wave rap is over. Nick gives his thoughts on if it is over and how Cardi's new single sounds. After that, ScHoolboy Q's highly anticipated new Blue Lips recently dropped to give west coast rap a shot in the arm to stay relevant while the South and NY rap is all over the place. Nick reviews the album and ask if Q's Blue Lips can revive the west coast back to what it once was a decade ago. All that plus shoutouts, an album recommendation and a lot more!!

Been gone for a minute but we are BACK with another new episode of LEM! Nick and Jared are back at the helm and we kick things off with the breaking news of the split between Cardi B and Offset. Cardi recently told fans on Instagram Live that she is now single, only to fuel the fires (again) of Offset cheating on her, especially with rumors going around the he slept with Chrisean Rock at a party that all three attended. We give our thoughts on the entire situation and find out what both parties should do post breakup. After that, Andre 3000 FINALLY dropped a solo album, only to disappoint fans by saying that it wasn't going to be a rap album since he had nothing to rap about at the age of 48. Lil Wayne chimed in on Andre's comments by saying that it was "depressing". We give our thoughts on 3000's new album and ask if Wayne was right to call it depressing that Andre had nothing to rap about. Next, with Busta Rhymes dropping a new album Blockbusta, he stopped on KickGame's UK show Shopping for Sneakers. When host, Craig Mitch, ask Busta on who can beat him in a Verzuz battle, Busta confidently said: "nobody!". We put his theory to the test and ask if someone can go round for round with Busta or wonder if he's right. After that, from Drake's midlife crisis and rappers showing no originality to celebrating 50 years of hip hop, we take a look back at the best and worst of the genre in 2023. All that plus, podcasts on Mt. Rushmore, shoutouts, laughs, album recommendations and more!!

On our 2023 NFL Week 3 Miami Dolphins massacre over the Denver Broncos episode, Nick and Jared hold things down and kick things off over the huge news that Usher will be headlining the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show in Las Vegas. The marauders touch on if Usher's halftime show will be better than Rihanna's and what we should expect when he hits the stage in 2024. Next up, Chris Brown and R&B singer Tinashe go blow for blow with words after the songstress recently said in an interview that regretted doing songs with both Brown and R. Kelly. Chris caught wind and decided to clap back with a scathing response to her. We not only ask if she should regret doing the song with Chris but if or how she can avoid more situations like this in the future. After that, what do Teyana Taylor, Jeezy, Remy and Papoose all have in common this fall? All of the aforementioned are heading for separation/divorce within these few weeks. We ask whose split was the most shocking, who can still save their relationship/marriage or who should stay split up. All that plus, laughs, album recommendations, our newest game on Southern rappers and more!!

Been gone for a minute but we are finally back with another new and funny episode of the podcast. We kick things off with LL Cool J's comments on rappers retiring on Sway In The Morning. Before kicking a freestyle on the show, he talks about how rap isn't a sport and calls out those who flirt with want to retire as a way of being bored with their careers. The marauders give their take on LL's words on retirement and why we shouldn't fall for it. After that, we talk about ageism in hip hop today after rapper Asian Doll wrote in a now deleted post on Twitter/X that people who are trying to make it in rap at/over the age of 30 is crazy. With the word going around thanks to DJ Akademics, other rappers sounded off on the post through social media as well. Nick and Jared give their thoughts on Asian Doll's post and also comment on Gillie Da Kid's comment on stop rapping past the age of 35 months ago on his podcast. Plus they ask if there should be an age limit on people trying to rap and make it in the rap game. Later, after celebrating 50 years of rap/hip hop on August 11th, many publications from Rolling Stone to Complex have made lists on the best rappers/groups/songs of all time by celebrating. Rappers have also voiced their opinions on some lists and some have even ask people on why certain rappers haven't made these lists and ask why they were overlooked. California rapper Mistah F.A.B. asked while watching the Hip Hop 50 concert from Yankee Stadium why MC Hammer wasn't a part of the show due to his contributions in the early 90s. Producer Pete Rock, asked why his late cousin Heavy D didn't get his name onto any lists after what Pete Rock said Heavy D did for the genre. We ask who should have been recognized more out of the two legends on these lists. All that a brand new game with hip hop videos, laughs, album recommendations, shout outs and more!!

We are BACK with a brand new episode and a brand new season of the Low End Marauders podcast! Jared and Nick are back once again with new topics to talk, debate and discuss. We kick things off with Drake on tour with 21 Savage and with the first stop in Chicago (July 5), Drake calls out Childish Gambino for his 2018 hit "This is America" by calling it overrated and over awarded while performing "Headlines". The boys talk about the moment and wonder about the motive of the move 5 years later and ask who we are taking if a beef were to happen. Next, Megan Thee Stallion and R&B songstress Janelle Monae have fun at this year's Essence Festival by wilding out during their respective sets. With Megan during her usual performance schtick and Monae pulling out and exposing her breast albeit with a pasty on it, soul singer India.Arie voiced her disappointment with both women's sets. We ask if she was right to say that about what happened and if there should be age restrictions on festivals. After that, producer and cowriter for 2Pac's "Keep Ya Head Up", DJ Daryl says that he has 2Pac vocals still in his vault and wants to release it through new music and possibly a new album. The marauders aren't feeling this news due to them saying that it feels the producer is trying to do this as a way of clout and attention. But they ask the question if new 2Pac in 2023 will work today and if anyone should collaborate on said album. All that plus, shoutouts, solo Wu-Tang albums Rank'd, album recommendations and more!!

It's the end of season three and Nick and Jared are here to take us out in style. We sadly kick things off from where we left last time with the unfortunate passing of Wild N Out/85 South Show cast member DC Young Fly's girlfriend Jacky Oh. Oh passed away (May 31) due to a surgical procedure called a "mommy makeover". The marauders talk and give their condolences to her and discuss if the toxic culture of plastic surgery for women in rap will be a continuous trend due to her passing or if the trend will sadly continue. Next up, frequent OutKast collaborator Sleepy Brown was caught up at LAX (June 13) and told TMZ that the group is over and to not expect any new music from the duo soon. We debate on if it is the end of the legendary Atlanta group and ask if Aquemini or ATLiens is the best album from OutKast since Brown said the former was their best work due to both men flexing their production skills on Aquemini. After that, it's been a dry spell for rap in the first half of 2023. Why? No rap album or single has hit number one on the Billboard Charts so far (as of this episode) and hasn't had this happen since 1993. We ask each other what's going on to have this happen and give our picks on who will be the first to have a number one album and single on the charts. All that, plus more 90s albums Rank'd, album recommendations, shout outs and more!!

It's been a long time.... But we are back yet again with another new episode of the show! Nick and Jared are back again to kick things off with Ice Cube voicing his opinions on AI generated music that has been going around on social media for a while. Cube calls it demonic and says that he will sue anyone if a creator tries to use his voice on an AI generated song without his permission. We ask if Ice Cube is overreacting on the entire situation and if rappers and musicians should follow suit on suing people. Next up, Beef erupts between Rick Ross and The Breakfast Club's DJ Envy over car shows and appearances to the point where women, rappers and everyone in between gets caught in the crossfire. With both men taking jabs at each other and casualties getting involved, we ask if the "beef" between them went way too far and if this was one of the most pointless feuds in hip hop history. After that, Missy Elliott becomes the first solo female act to be inducted into this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (will be inducted in Brooklyn in November). With her being inducted along with DJ Kool Herc, this year we look back on her illustrious career and ask the question on if she is the greatest female rapper of all time. All that, plus Rank'd third albums, shout outs, album recommendations and more!!!

Back again after being gone for a while! Nick and Jared are here to give you more hip hop news and questions since our last episode! We kick things off by discussing Complex's first annual Hip Hop Media Power Ranking List that made its rounds on April 3rd. Coming in at #1 was Joe Budden due to his success with his highly popular Joe Budden Podcast. We ask if the good folks at Complex got the list right and who should be higher or lower on the list. After that, 6ix9ine made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he got jumped in a Florida LA Fitness gym bathroom by three men (March 22). A few days later, he would have an interview with NBC 6 South Florida (April 6) to deny that the beatdown was staged due to people on social media having their suspicions. We ask if the beatdown that he suffered was real or staged and if there's a lesson to be learned from 6ix9ine's situation. Next up, social media came alive when people started to dream a potential Verzuz matchup with 50 Cent and Lil Wayne. Hot 97 DJ, Ebro said that he's taking 50 for the winner of the battle if it were to happen. On paper, the marauders chose Lil Wayne as the winner but we ask if 50 were to accept, what can he do in order to win against the Young Money rapper. Later, Jim Jones sounds off on Pusha T on the Rap Caviar Podcast by saying that King Push isn't a top 50 of all time due to his music "isn't being played outside and no one wants to dress like him", etc. Plus, Jim doubles down on Drake being the greatest rapper of all time during the same interview due to the records that he has broken and his cultural influence. The marauders ask where Push should be ranked on an all time rapper list and if he is in fact a top 50 rapper. All that, plus ranking the best first and second album combos, shout outs, laughs and album recommendations and more!!

It's been a long time, we hate we left you. But now we got a new episode to step to! Nick and Jared hold things down again and kick things off with Complex's List of the Best Rapper Alive for 2022 and they have decided to name Sir 21 the Savage as that. The marauders have a problem with Complex naming him that considering that both Kendrick Lamar and Pusha T have had a better year than him. They name who was the better rapper of 2022 out of those three and give their takes on why 21 Savage was named that from the site. Next up, 50 Cent went onto Shaq's The Big Podcast with Shaq (January 24) and gave a take on Eminem having a more bigger and better impact on hip hop than Jay Z. We argue on who the better impact, who came out of the respective rapper's camp, and who has come the furthest from where they started. After that, Latto had an interview with Billboard (February 24) to touch base on her brief beef with Nicki Minaj a few months ago, and called it "disappointing" after the two went back and forth via Twitter over Latto's song "Big Energy" became nominated for a Grammy in the rap category while Nicki's song "Super Freaky Girl" wasn't nominated at all. We give our takes on who came out the winner of this and ask if Nicki is bitter. Later, after hearing about the sad passing of De La Soul memeber Trugoy the Dove (February 12) we pay our respects to the fallen member, tell oir favorite songs and ask if De La Soul is a top five rap group of all time like we did the Beasties last year. All that, plus our toughest One Gotta Go in quite some time, shout outs, album recommendations and more!!

Happy 2023 to you and yours! We are back with more madness and hip hop topics for the new year as Nick and Jared catch you up with everything that's happen since we last left off due to the holidays. We sadly start the show off with the untimely passing of former Three 6 Mafia member, Gangsta Boo who died at the age of 43. As of this episode (recorded January 9), there has been no official cause of death but the marauders do look back and talk about their favorite memories and songs from her. We then shift from the sad to the serious when news broke that Gunna has been released from prison after pleading guilty to racketeering charges. Even though he has been released from prison, a lot of people have had mixed feelings about him being home and the way he came home due to his leaked courtroom video. We asked and wondered if Gunna snitched his way home and ask if all snitching is equal. More court case news continues as Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion all the way back in 2020 and faces up to 25 years in prison and deportation back to Canada. The marauders give our thoughts on the entire case, now that it's over and wonder if Tory's career is over due to the ruling. After that, the boys hear and discuss on Drake's brand new necklace that's worth almost $13 million. The reason why Drake's new jewelry is been talked about is due to the 42 diamonds that's in it thanks to the number of times Drake thought about proposing to women in his lifetime. We laugh and play the guessing game of the number of women he wanted to propose to. All that plus, One Gotta Go: Albums of 2022 edition, laughs, album recommendations, shoutouts and a lot more!!

Back at it again with another new episode of the show with Nick and Jared (and Kyle in spirit) and the marauders kick things off with an interesting list from Rolling Stone. The music magazine published (November 28) online their 50 worst decisions in music history with some hip hop picks thrown in the mix. One pick is an obvious one from (you guessed it) Kanye West and two were picks from the 90s. See what we said about those decisions that Rolling Stone mentioned plus a surprising tidbit from one rapper on the list thrown in during the segment. Next, up and coming Memphis rapper Glo Rilla sounds off on women wanting to find love in clubs in 2022/23. The boys give our opinions on if what she says is right or wrong since they can't speak on the behalf of women. After that, T.I. had social media talking about him after an old clip resurfaced on him (from August 2020) about him snitching on a dead relative before his music career took off. We ask if we should be vilifying T.I. for doing that, if his music career will take a hit and if we should give him the same treatment as 6ix9ine. All that, plus laughs, Ab-Soul albums ranked, shoutouts, album recommendations and more!!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone here in the states, as Nick and Jared are finally full from leftovers and are back with another new episode of the show! The marauders kick things off by celebrating Nas' new album King's Disease III by alerting the listeners of its critical and fan praise between producer Hit-Boy and rapper Nas. The marauders ultimately crown the new as a rare achievement for Nas as a four-peat on him and Hit-Boy four album run. (King's Disease, KD II, Magic & KD III) We later dive in and give our picks on which other artists may have an under/overrated four-peat in hip hop and with some surprises. After that, Grammy nominations were released (Nov. 15) to (no surprise) lots of outrage and some surprises as Beyonce leads the pack with nine nominations. But the biggest buzz in the culture was the nominee for the Best Rap Album category. (DJ Khaled, Future, Jack Harlow, Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar). We voice our opinions on which rapper deserves to win the award. Plus, with Khaled and Harlow respective albums being critically panned, Nick gives 10 albums on which should have took their places that were better reviewed and received by fans and critics. After that, Bow Wow gets back into the news again after he attempted and failed to shoot his shot on AEW wrestler Jade Cargill. With the two going back and forth on Twitter, we ask if the entire situation is real or if it's something that the company is cooking up in order to please its fans. Later, the marauders attempt to solve a math problem involving Saweetie and her recent album doing a shockingly low 2000 albums sold. We ask what went wrong, who is to blame for the sales and what Saweetie can do to revive her career. All that and, Ludacris ranked, shout outs, album recommendations, laughs and lots more!!
