Sophie is on the journey to adopting her first child. We discuss the reasons why she has decided to adopt alone, deciding what route to go down with adoption, the ethnicity of your adopted child and how family takes the adoption. Caroline McAllister is a Scottish born married mum of 2 girls . She was a criminal defence lawyer and owned her own practice. She gave that up to look after her kids full time and we discuss the change and how she delt with that. Caroline also discusses the grief of loosing her mother aged 17 and how difficult that is now she has her own children. Mike is a dad to 3 year old Marlie, when Marlie was 10 months old she was confirmed to be profoundly deaf. Following a A cochlear implant Marlie is now able to hear.
