Talking about my experience as living and growing up in Spain since I was 2 years old. Speaking Catalan and Spanish as my native languages (willing to study Chinese since 2 years ago). In this episode, I share my thoughts of feeling in a cultural limbo (sometimes), as well as being victim of racism jokes and stereotypes like the "Yellow Fever". ๐

Have you ever felt like you lost fluency while learning a new language and practicing all the time? Are you sometimes worried that you havenโt spoken that often today or this week than the one before? In todayโs episode, I just wanted to remind you that this is part of the process.
If you have ever gone to the gym before, youโd have noticed that when doing exercise very often, somedays you could feel super strong and motivated, and other times, like you, couldnโt even move a finger. Does that mean youโre not getting better?

Last weekend I was looking through all my textbooks and remembering with nostalgia all the funny moments I lived while being a student. The teachers, homework, exercises, and notes I wrote down on paper, by adding also ugly (but quite creative) draws next to the paragraph in the textbook, which my teacher was explaining to the class, at the moment.
I found myself digging one more time into all my teenage life as a student. I now can really say to myself, that I did it. When feeling anxious and always willing and saying out loud that I wanted to get out of school and finally get to be in real life as an adult, one of my tutors, when I was 15 years old, told me: You will remember this moment and regret what youโre saying. Enjoy your student life now because it will never come back.
Did someone tell you that as well? How did you feel? Did you wanna get to be out of school and finally be free from homework forever? What a childish thought I tell these days to myself. Now that Iโm currently working I feel kind of shocked that what my teacher told me once, would be just the truth I never expected to come that soon.
I enjoyed my life back in high school, however, I always wanted to grow up so fast. And here I am, regretting just a bit, the fact that now that I accomplished my desire of being an adult with a job from 9 to 6, I noticed more than ever, how fast the time passed by, just in a blink of an eye.

Do you trust yourself?
Do you believe in yourself?
Are you insecure and want to know if it's right or not to "fake it until you make it"?
Let's jump into this controversial thought! Is it good for you to lie yourself in order to gain confidence in life? To convince yourself at something?
Well, I don't have the answer yet, but I can give you some of my experience in applying this fake it until you make it into my life, as well as sharing with you which percentage % of this statement really worked out for me!
Ready to join me in the discussion? Let's listen to this episode NOW! It's your turn whether to choose or not what works best for you in order to achieve your own goals, trust and self-confidence. โ๏ธ

Hi everyone and welcome to a new special episode โจ where today I won't be speaking alone, but chatting with my new friend ๐ฅ I recently met at the company I work for. How's that? Well, Christian is a friend of mine, who currently is doing an internship here in Spain through an American study program from his university, is that so, that we found each other coincidentally talking in the kitchen downstairs about learning topics all the time (while having lunch of course ๐)!
Anyways, today's podcast I invited Christian, from South Carolina (EEUU) and also a native American speaker, who loves learning languages too! He's been learning Spanish ๐ช๐ธ for more than 2 years and a half by self-studying until now. ๐
In this conversation you'll be able to improve your English American accent and English listening, as well as, knowing more about his whole experience, Making Mistakes and full immersion with his Spanish language journey. Do you want to know more about his own story, TIPS, recommendations and fun facts?
Definitely, we both did and we currently are Making Mistakes all the time, and you know what? We met because of those.
Being able to create this content so far made me realise how POWERFUL a Hi! / ยกHola! ๐๐ป can be, at the end of the day.
If you have an opportunity to meet someone you'd like to speak and practice with, while still being shy or on a basic level of English/Spanish, etc, REMEMBER, chances are you will gain more confidence, and may be, who knows? A new long-distance friendship, that maybe you will be able to visit him/her in another part of the world? ๐

In this episode you'll listen to my 6 TIPS for learning English as a beginner. I did do all of them when I first challenge myself to learn English by myself, and until now, I've been follow them. Not because I feel like or forced to do it now, but because I love when I keep being immersed and connected to the English world all the time. It started as a challenge and in the end, it changed my whole habits and daily routines.
Everyday, no matter when, how and with who, I'm still getting involved or just continuously practicing the language while READING blogs online, articles, forums like Reddit or Twitter, practical books, LISTENING PODCASTS, interviews, TV shows, movies, and SPEAKING to my colleagues at work, new friends I met in all over the world since 2 or 3 years ago and definitely, to all of you who are now listening to me in this small and newbie community, which I hope we can learn but most importantly, share our mistakes! ๐
