Phase 2 has all come to this- an even bigger assembly of characters, with another big villain and a whopping three new heroes. We're here to see if it sags under the weight or if it delivers the dysfunctional family dynamic we've come to expect.

We are back in action and so is Cap. The moral lead of the MCU gets a makeover with a thrilling and innovative action title that changes the course of the franchise. The challenges will be seeing how Marvel juggles the spy thriller, and picking the best action set piece.

Phase 2 continues with the designated make-fun-of movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This installment is pretty universally panned by fans, but Justin and Malcolm see how it holds up to their analysis of what makes a good MCU movie.

Phase 2 kicks off with a return to home- yet another solo film from the flagship character, Tony Stark. This one is polarizing for its twists and deviations from the formula, and we get into every working aspect, from the quippier comedic feel to the last minute villain substitution.

In a special episode, we take a look back at the MCU's first phase, seeing how effective the lead-up to Avengers was, and which weird details may have hurt the world in the long run. We make some personal retractions and give more awards, and our friend Ryan Lynch from the podcast Divisive Issues stops by to tell us the differences from comics to screen.

It's here. The big one. Or the biggest one the world could imagine at the time. We look at the first mega superhero crossover to see how it's aged and how it managed to combine all the elements so far.
If you like the show, please tell one Marvel friend. You know the one. Word of mouth is huge for us.

Malcolm and Justin weigh in on Marvel's first period piece, and the final origin story of phase one. We'll see how well the film balances 40's history and classic comic camp, and pick our favorite supporting character from a ridiculously stacked roster.

Another character, another origin, this time in fantastical Norse space. Thor is a fish out of water, but does that apply to the franchise in the meta sense? From Japanese gods to Dutch angles, Justin and Malcolm will cover all of it.

Marvel responds to a less-than-success with an immediate return to their breakout character. This film is not widely liked, but can Justin and Malcolm find what's good and see what would make it a good sequel to a great origin?

The series immediately continues and potentially falters a bit with one of the harder characters to put on film. Is this as bad as people say, or does it plant good universe seeds early on? What fixes do Malcolm and Justin have to make it a little better?

Justin and Malcolm get their start at the same time the MCU does, with a risky first installment. Iron Man launches a mostly unknown character into theaters and bets the entire future of an untested franchise on one film. We see how much future worldbuilding is present this far back, and how much Downey Jr. is responsible for.
