  • Join us for the final episode of #MettaTalks Season 2!

In our 10th and final episode, our Co-Founder Wil chats with Becky Okell and Huw Thomas, Co-Founders of Paynter - a #slowfashion brand who create limited edition jackets, made in Batches, available just four times a year.

Paynter launched in 2019, after coming to the realisation that they didn’t want to follow in the footsteps of the fast fashion industry and its broken business model – which results in so much waste and an unsustainable production speed. Through using the best materials and makers they can find, Paynter sustainably makes iconic jackets which stand the test of time.

Since establishing in May 2019, they have created 12 jacket batches, which sell out in minutes to a global audience, a passionate waitlist of thousands of people worldwide - and, in our experience, an unrivalled product quality.

Join Becky, Huw and Wil as they chat about tackling the fast fashion industry, creating a loyal and personal relationship with customers, and of course, their favourite batch number to date!

  • We are back with #MettaTalks Season 2!

In our first episode, our Co-Founders Gabi and Wil give us an introduction to where Metta are now, including how we've grown our team by 200%, gained our Planet Mark certification, and started our journey to becoming a BCorp.

We then chat with Martin James Power - Co-Founder and Creative Director of Ensemble - about brand narrative and tone of voice. We talk about how Martin has helped bring the Metta brand together, and why it's important to have a unique brand narrative.

We also touch on some of the mistakes he has seen young companies make when it comes to creating a brand narrative, as well as highlighting companies he feels does it extremely well, including Gymshark and Palace Skateboards.

Martin loves working on projects which have an impact, sustainability or ethical point of view. You can learn more about Martin and the Ensemble team here - https://www.weareensemble.co.uk/

In this conversation with John, we dig into B Corp certification: what it means to our businesses, why it’s important, what we learned about ourselves going through the process, and some tips on how you can get started.
