We couldn't be more grateful to have such an incredible team and community behind us. We did NOT do this alone, and so this episode is dedicated specifically to everyone who took part in this journey with us. Thank you. Seriously.. thank you.

Life is full of ups and downs, left and right turns, flying and falling, and in order to find success in it all, in our opinion, we must be willing to face the man in the mirror. But what does it mean to embrace the challenge of that? When people say "its you versus you", who is the you that you're facing? And "what" are you facing? These questions are what inspired us to focus this episode on breaking down what you vs. you means, what its been like for us to face the an in the mirror, and truthfully, why we both love it. Tune in, check it out, and let us know what stood out the most!

Our intention with this episode was to give you a modern mask co-host update, but something came up that we felt was much more pressing: men trusting other men + how to find a solid mens group and brotherhood. Atlas has been thru a series of mens groups over the last 6 months, and one of his biggest intentions was to learn how to trust men more. Thru that process, he learned a ton about where the men's space is currently at, what he feels is missing, and now he offers more insight into the world of mens work + he provides support on how to find a space that aligns with you.

In this weeks episode, we put Atlas in the hot seat by bringing on his partner, Gabby, Women's Life Coach, to talk about their relationship. From behaving strictly based on their coping strategies, to being fully controlled by their subconscious attachment styles, all leading to a break up where they didn't speak for a year and a half until they reunite on the other side, their story of falling and getting back up again holds a ton of wisdom and lessons that we knew were incredibly valuable and needed to be shared. This was easily one of our favourite episodes to date!

One of our favourite things to do as men is fix things. We love a job, a task, a problem - we love to seek out answers and provide help for those around us. And - that isn't what is always needed, which can be really frustrating to understand sometimes. That's why we wanted to have this conversation - not to "fix" it, but to hold space (see what I did there..) for us to really talk about why it's so damn hard, what may be influencing our desire to fix or solve, why we struggle to make a change towards just holding space, and some tools we have used to help our own individual experiences with friends, family, acquaintances, and intimate relationships.

This week we invited two leaders in the mens work space, Voy and Jose, to have a discussion with us. Voy is a Life Coach focused on empowering men to create a life without limits. Jose is also a Life Coach with his main focus being to empower men who lead to embody their truth, live their vision, and increase impact. Together, they co-found "The Modern Renaissance Man," know on instagram as @themrmofficial, a community space, coaching environment, and training ground with the intention of empowering modern men to create the life they love. As you can tell, this is a conversation you don't want to miss.
Topics we discuss: the importance of mens work, the necessity for an improved relationship with masculinity, the missing link in culture that is negatively affecting our experience as men, the value of somatic breath-work, mens rite's of passage/initiation, and more.

Same outcome - new perspective. This weeks episode was inspired by recent events surrounding the unexpected and incredibly sad news about the passing of tWitch. On paper, he had it all. But within, none of that mattered.
It's time to get back to the drawing board, because something is not working.

The title speaks for itself, but to percolate your senses a bit more, here are some other questions we address: what does "alone" mean? What does "lonely" mean? Is it the same for everyone? Can you be physically alone and also not feel lonely? Are the two words one and the same? As men, we are told that "being able to do it on our own is a sign of success." Is this a helpful narrative? Does that end up equating to being alone or does it create feelings of loneliness? Click play to hear us unpack all of this and more.

Movember - a time to really hone in on the importance of both our prostate and mental health. And this year, we felt it was incredibly important to dissect one of the biggest influences to our mental health (and maybe even to our prostate) - our intimate relationships! The saying goes, "the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives." So the questions we find here are: how does relational health correlate with our actual health? In what ways does improving our relationships actually improve our quality of our life? How do we actually elevate and improve the health of our relationships? Join us as we dissect all of these questions and more in an effort to improve our overall health as men.

We spend most of our lives focusing on being successful men... but when do we stop and ask ourselves: who is this "success" really for? Do I want it because it gets me validated and seen by the world, or do I want it because it actually means something to me? Does it allow me to be who I really am, or do I have to wear a mask everywhere I go? Is success what I want, or am I actually scared of playing big? Is it possible that we struggle to find pride in our journey and our moments of success because they don't actually align with us or truly fulfill us? Join us as we unpack success, failure, and the struggle to be proud of ourselves along every step of the journey. We found a huge amount of value in this conversation, and we hope you do too.

It is one thing to know that we are the creators of our life, but it is a whole other to actually implement and follow thru on the necessary habits and routines to help us achieve our goals. So how do we do it? What are the tangible practices and real, practical, tangible perspectives that we can draw on to help fuel us forward? How do we know when the habits we implement are for the betterment of our own lives and not just to be seen as "worthy" in the eyes of others? What drives our goals, and is any of that intrinsic? Can it be okay that we have external driving forces such a material things?
To help support this podcast, we directly reference the book, "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. This book was revolutionary for both of us, and remains that way today. Click here to learn more about his simple yet powerful process.

Do you struggle with change? Do you find yourself rejecting times of transition? Are you stuck in a certain season of life? Are you even aware of what season you are in right now? Inspired by the arrival of fall, we felt like this was the perfect time to unpack the concept of transition and change. Because like the seasons show us, change can be difficult. Transition can be even more difficult. And as humans, we tend to make it even more difficult by actually rejecting times of change. Our goal with this episode was to get into the raw experience of change, to unpack why it can be so difficult, and to share what we have done to create a smoother transition for ourselves as we both are currently navigating a ton of change in our own personal lives. Because as we continue to learn, holding on to what was prevents us from seeing what could be possible.

Self-awareness and self-development are not the same thing - they are incredibly different. Think about all those books you've read - you "know" the information now, but have you put any of it into practice? What about that new habit you took on - did it bring you the vitality you were looking for, or did it silently leave the room? Now imagine if you DID implement the things you learned in the book, combining self-awareness (what you read) with the actions you took (self-development). Big difference, right?
Whether you're new to the self-development journey or deep in it, it is incredibly important to understand how these two concepts show up, how well we are focusing on both, and how to marry them together in a way that allows us to truly find the results we are looking for.

Finding our edge as men is something we all crave, but we often chase it in unhealthy ways, and often without any awareness that we are doing so. So our purpose with this weeks episode is to dive in: what is our edge, how do we find it, how do we know when we have moved too far beyond it, and what exactly are healthy ways of finding our edge that are driven by desire and not by desperation or insecurity?
To support your journey with us, here is a quote we mention from the book, "The Way of The Superior Man."
“In any given moment, a man’s growth is optimized if he leans just beyond his edge, his capacity, his fear. He should not be too lazy, happily stagnating in the zone of security and comfort. Nor should he push far beyond his edge, stressing himself unnecessarily, unable to metabolize his experience. He should lean just slightly beyond the edge of fear and discomfort. Constantly. In everything he does.”

Will Smith is one of the most iconic actors and celebrities in the world, and now, he is under fire for his behaviour at the Oscars earlier this year. If you haven't caught wind of it yet, youtube his name and it will be the first thing to pop up. Now, 3 months later, Will released a fresh video giving some more context into what happened and why it happened... and when we saw it, we knew it was time for us to speak on it. In this episode, we break down the episode into 3 parts: the initial shock of the incident, the first apology + period of silence, and then the new video released just last week. It's time to dive in... see you inside.
