My guest today has been on the front lines for a long time, fighting the unseen battles and advocating for equality and diversity in the workplace.
Simma Lieberman is internationally known as “The Inclusionist,” Her passion for diversity and its possibilities began in 1963 when she went on the March On Washington. In 1963. She wishes she could say that it was because of hearing Martin Luther King give his “I Have A Dream” speech, but she was too young to remember it.
However, she has always remembered what it felt like to be amongst 250,000 people for the first time of all colors, cultures, and ages, rallying and marching together for change.
Today, Simma works with leaders of organizations who understand that while training in areas of diversity and inclusion is important, sustainable change only occurs when diversity and inclusion are integrated into the business strategy, and are part of the organization’s cultural DNAHer website is www.simmalieberman.com.

Trang Dang-Le attributes her success to a father who reinforced the importance of education every single day. And probably the most important fact is she accomplished her triumphs only after she returned to work when her three daughters were old enough to tend to themselves. Trang's early life as a Vietnam refugee combines devastating moments of loss with hopeful happenings that stir the human spirit. Her story is truly uplifting for all moms on the entrepreneurial path.

Too often, millennials are accused of not going deep, that somehow just posting something publicly about an issue means you've done something to help solve it. But, as with most issues, it takes more than a tweet to fix culture.
It takes actual work, every day, from men to stop sexual misconduct. It takes examining one's own treatment of women and speaking up to one's friends when they say or do something disrespectful. That’s why I started the #NowWhat campaign and encourage you to do your part to end sexual harassment in the workplace.
Today's podcast guest is LeRon Barton, a writer from Kansas City who currently resides in San Francisco. LeRon’s essays have appeared in Salon, The Good Men Project, Eastbay Express, Those People, AlterNet, Buzzfeed, Gorilla Convict, and Elephant Journal. His site is leronbarton.com. -
Harassment comes in all forms. Today's guest is Nita Wiggins, an esteemed journalism professor at ESJ-Paris where she is training the next generation of journalists.
Her upcoming book, “Civil Rights Baby: My Story of Race, Sports, and Breaking Barriers in American Journalism” is the story of her 20 years in American television.
Despite her major successes, Nita was exposed to much harassment in her career. The late Roger Ailes no longer runs Fox News and Bill O’Reilly is gone from the anchor chair but painful stories from the past still linger. Nita says her health and career, as well as that of other female TV employees were adversely affected by institutionalized sexual discrimination.

Applying to college is hard enough without the minefield of securing financial aid. The basic government form, the dreaded FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) asks for information high-school students might not even know about their families' financial lives. The form is hard enough to make parents go nuts, much less their high school children.
And that’s where Charlie Javice steps in.
Charlie has always been a go-getter–at 19, she was named one of Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative Business People” and her work has been featured on CNBC’s “20 under 20” special. Now at the ripe old age of 25, Charlie Javice is the founder and CEO of Frank.

The first paychecks of 2018 have been dispatched but it may be weeks or months before taxpayers know how the new U.S. tax laws will affect their take-home pay.
