    Relax. And breathe.
    Breathe deep and wide,
    So your body quiets,
    And so does your mind.

    PAUSE

    Allow your body to float,
    Free and at peace,
    While your mind lets go,
    To a place of ease.

    PAUSE

    And while in this space,
    Connected to the present,
    Allow your body to move into a future,
    That is healthy and pleasant.

    PAUSE

    While traveling to this place
    Ahead of time,
    Feel your pain disappear,
    And your body's tension unwind.

    PAUSE

    And, imagine if you can,
    The way your body moves and feels.
    Let the emotions and sensations of this experience
    Become real.

    Hold onto those sensations.
    Hold onto those feelings.
    Know your body is moving to the future, 
    With flexibility and healing.

    It’s the start of
    A new day–
    Your chance to leave the past behind
    And start anew.

    So, breathe.
    Breathe in the fresh start.

    PAUSE

    There are times in life
    when we say things
    that can be negative or hurtful.

    What we often miss when we say these things
    Is how they really affect us.

    PAUSE

    Now imagine, if you can,
    A moment where you said something negative.
    It could be something about you or someone else
    or something else.

    Avoid judging. Just acknowledge.
     
    PAUSE

    Take a moment and think back to how you felt
    after you said those words.
    And, as you reflect,
    notice any feelings you had
    or that bubble to the surface now.

    Remember, whatever it is. It’s okay.
    You’re in a safe space.

    PAUSE

    Now, breathe.
    Breathe deep.
    Breathe, and let go.

    PAUSE

    Imagine, now, that every time you speak,
    your words flow from you like mist.
    And, as they flow, they touch others.

    Visualize speaking positive words.
    Watch what they do as they touch others.

    PAUSE

    Now, visualize speaking negative words.
    Watch what they do as they touch others.

    Hold those thoughts.

    PAUSE

    Now, draw in another deep breath,
    Imagine how speaking negatively
    impacts you.

    Do you feel good about yourself?
    Do you hurt?
    Is there added stress?

    Let yourself acknowledge this
    without judgment.

    PAUSE

    Breathe and
    Clear yourself,
    Cleanse yourself,
    Let go.
     
    PAUSE

    Now imagine how you feel
    when positive words flow from you.

    Take a minute to embrace
    the difference in the feelings.

    Can you feel the warmth inside you,
    The calm,
    The joy–
    All the feelings that positive communication brings.

    Hold onto those feelings,
    And allow them to guide you
    whenever you want to speak.

    Gently breathe deep into yourself,
    Centering in the present,

    If this were the last,

    Goodnight you’d whisper,

    Would you choose to say something more? 

    If this were the last,

    Softly breathe,
    letting the gentle waves 
    of breath,
    fill your being.

    PAUSE

    Now, breathe again.
    This time tracing
    the path of the 
    life-giving breath
    through your body.

    As you follow your breath,
    Notice its connection
    With your energy centers.

    Feel it expanding your root chakra,
    just below your spine,
    bringing greater grounding

    Soften your body,
    And breathe deeply into it.
    Allow your muscles to just melt
    Into deep relaxation.

    PAUSE

    Feel your body lighten,
    As if floating on sea foam,
    Gently floating.
    Gently drifting.

    Embrace the morning.
    Breathe in its 
    fresh, delicate air.
    Let it enliven you.

    This, too, is Spirit.

    to the wondrous Universe

    Live as one,

    In the magical making of you.

    The unlayering,

    Close your eyes,
    and let soft whispers
    of peace and relaxation
    carry you away. 

    PAUSE

    Breathe deeply,
    and feel the breath
    as it circulates through you,
    both relaxing and energizing you.

    There are times in life
    when we just don’t feel full,
    but we’re not really physically hungry.
    We hunger for something else.
    And yet, we eat anyway.

    So, take a deep breath,
    and as you release it,
    allow yourself to drift back in time–
    to a time where you
    reached for food
    instead of what you needed.

    Now, give yourself permission
    to know what you were feeling.

    PAUSE

    Were you angry or hurt?
    Did you feel lonely?
    Were you exhausted
    and pushing to just keep going?

    Observe without judgment.

    PAUSE

    Now, imagine if you can,
    reshaping that experience.

    Take a deep breath,
    and whisper to yourself
    what it was you needed
    at that time.

    Hold on to that.

    PAUSE

    Now, imagine,
    giving yourself
    exactly what you needed.
     
    PAUSE

    Breathe in again,
    and tap into 
    the relief of
    giving yourself
    what you needed.

    Let yourself really feel it.
    Relief.
    Peace.
    Gratitude.

    PAUSE

    Hold those feelings.
    And, as you do,
    whisper a promise to yourself…
    a promise that when you hunger,
    you will feed yourself
    what you truly need.

    Breathe into the promise
    until you feel it become part of you.

    Now, wrap your arms

    Close your eyes,
    and outstretch your arms.
    Greet the day,
    With anticipation and warmth.

    PAUSE

    Now, stay with those feelings–
    Keep them near.
    Then think of your day
    Until what you do is clear.

    And, as you get to your work,
    You may not feel excited, 
    Because what you need–
    Your job’s not providing.

    So, it’s time to take control,
    And put you back in power.
    It doesn’t matter if you’re salaried,
    Or work by the hour.

    What you do is contribute,
    And that deserves recognition,
    So imagine seeing your boss,
    And giving them that explanation.

    Now, envision your boss,
    As he or she responds,
    It’s now your time
    To think through the options
    to decide upon.

    So breathe in some courage,
    And to yourself say,
    That if you don’t hear what you want,
    You’ll walk away.

    And cast aside the fear
    Of making a change.
    You can take your time.
    You don’t have to do it today.

    Now breathe, and shift your power,
    To manifesting the job you want.
    See how to create it,
    Beyond your thoughts.

    PAUSE

    And, as you keep this vision close,
    You’ll find that it will appear,
    In ways you weren’t expecting, 
    But when it happens,
    It’s clear.

    Keep in mind your job
    Is just one part of you.
    And it can change,
    You have the power to create

    Take a breath 
    and come inside
    to the presence.
    Breathe into.
    Feel it.

    PAUSE

    And, as you do, 
    clear your mind.
    Let any distracting thoughts
    wash away like the tide.

    PAUSE

    Now, imagine if you can,
    a relationship in your life
    that left you feeling 
    like you needed more.

    PAUSE

    It could be an intimate relationship,
    like a spouse or partner,
    a friendship,
    or maybe a relationship  
    with a parent, sibling or coworker.

    Allow yourself to see the relationship
    without judgment or frustration.

    PAUSE

    Now, visualize a magnifying glass
    that appears in your hand
    and gives you the ability
    to see inside and around
    all aspects of both people
    in the relationship.

    Take a minute and explore.

    PAUSE

    And, as the relationship is explored,
    let its intricacies–whether positive or negative–
    pass by you
    without judgment or emotion.

    You are simply an explorer.

    PAUSE

    Now, after exploring both yourself
    And the other person in the relationship,
    Imagine understanding what kept you
    Wanting more.

    Again, see it clearly without judgment or emotion.
     
    PAUSE

    Now, visualize the other person
    as a one-quart pot of water,
    and you, as a two-quart pot of water.

    Hold the image.

    Can you pour two quarts into the other person?
    Can they pour two quarts into you?
    No,

    PAUSE

    Now, take a deep breath,
    and clear the image.
    Breathe once more,
    and let yourself understand
    that a one-quart person
    can never give you the two quarts you need.

    So, what can you do?
    You can accept that you need two quarts,
    and leave the relationship 
    because this person cannot give it to you.
    Or, you can accept this person 
    for the one quart they offer.

    You have the power to choose.
     Any time. Anywhere. Always.

    Open your heart and
    Open your mind,
    This meditation is just for you; 
    It’s your self-care time. 

    PAUSE

    Breathe deep inside,
    Into your soul,
    Allow the breath to circulate
    And help you feel whole.

    And let yourself just relax,

    We feel love is amiss.

    And open to feelings of love.

    And allow yourself to feel love,

    Relax.
    Just focus on breathing.
    Feel your breath,
    expand and go deep within you.

    PAUSE

    And, as you breathe,
    just let your body relax.
    Visualize any distracting thoughts
    just melting away.

    PAUSE

    Peace.
    It’s a state of being,
    a wonderful feeling,
    that is often hard to attain.

    PAUSE

    With all the noise in the world,
    the stress of daily life,
    the demands of others,
    peace may feel like it’s 
    always just beyond you.

    PAUSE

    So, breathe.
    Breathe and give yourself permission 
    To feel peace right now.
    Just for a minute.

    How does peace feel for you?
    Hold onto to it.

    Now, imagine if you can,
    the TV blaring some political nonsense,
    or the kids screaming for your attention.
    or the neighbors hammering a new roof.

    Where is your peace now?

    So, breathe deeply again,
    and hear in a whisper 
    the words, “Peace is in me. I am peace.”
    Hear those words,
    and begin whispering them to yourself.
    “Peace is in me. I am peace.”

    Keep breathing 
    and repeating
    “Peace is in me. I am peace.”
    “Peace is in me. I am peace.”
    “Peace is in me. I am peace.’

    PAUSE

    Now, allow yourself to find 
    that peace in you,
    that feeling you experienced
    just a moment ago.

    Find it, hold onto it,
    and keep repeating,

    And, as you walk out the door
    into the new day of the world,

    Allow yourself to feel,
    The gentleness of peace,
    As it wraps around your body,
    And softly kisses your cheek.

    Bring your awareness into the present,
    Mind, body and soul,

    Is to have enough time,

    ο»ΏA tiny drop of rain appears,

    As her heart is slowly torn. 

    Anger and disappointment swirl. 

    Another drop of rain, 

    And then another,

    Resentment pools behind her silence. 

    PAUSE… 

    Good intentions keep her moving,

    Doing, organizing, managing,

    Holding the world.

    They look at Atlas,

    And hand her more.

    Oblivious to the strain, 

    Critiquing from the sidelines,

    While their arms are empty.

    PAUSE…

    Make time for self-care, they say,

    As if that lessens the load,

    And fixes it all. 

    A downpour of rain.

    Oceans of resentment. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    A silent martyr,

    Or a hero who’s suffered and evolved…

    Which will she choose today? 

    PAUSE…

    The raindrops have fallen before,

    And they’ve taught her that oceans of resentment,

    Will extinguish her light and energy,

    Consume her,

    Drown her.

    PAUSE…

    So Atlas stands, 

    Finds her voice inside, 

    And uses it to drain the ocean.

    PAUSE…

    She demands help,

    Respect,

    Love.

    PAUSE…

    She shares the weight,

    And stops mumbling under her breath,

    About the broken promises. 

    She trains the world how to handle her.

    PAUSE…

    For she is bursting with love and care,

    For every little thing. 

    She cradles the broken hearts in her arms,

    Fixes the cracks no one sees, 

    And breathes love into the blades of grass. 

    PAUSE…

    It’s easy for the world to just let her. 

    To be confused by her ability to hold and give so much. 

    PAUSE…

    So she speaks. 

    And shares,

    And instructs.

    So the oceans of resentment evaporate.

    And when raindrops trickle down again,

    She knows to shake herself dry,

    And stand up again.

    Gently slow your breath,
    and just take a minute
    to just be.

    PAUSE

    And in this quiet space,
    become aware of your
    crown chakra
    at the top of your head.

    PAUSE

    And the more aware you become,
    the more you feel its buzzing
    with divine life,
    an energy that defies 
    three-dimensional words.

    PAUSE

    Breathe.
    Breathe into the crown chakra,
    and feel its pull upward.

    Beyond the sky.
    Beyond space.
    Up to the Divine.

    The crown chakra
    connects you 
    to the Divine.

    Your connection to the divine 
    is popping with energy.

    that the divine energy you hold
    connects you to…

    Your higher power.

    Welcome it.
