What if you could reclaim hours of your time each weekājust by documenting and automating the simple tasks youāre already doing?
In this episode, I sit down with Glen Young of Cold Springs Organics, a Farm Marketing School member and automation-building wizard, to talk about how heās using Zapier + AI to automate processes in his farm businessāfrom order management to email marketing, lead tagging, customer onboarding, and even abandoned cart follow-ups.
Glen shares how he went from juggling everything manually to building smart, scalable workflows that save him time and create a better customer experience. He walks us through his "white belt to black belt" automation philosophy, shares the tools heās using (and loving), and explains how he's using ChatGPT to document and coach his systems into existence.
š§ If youāve ever felt like youāre doing everything yourself (and itās too much), this episode will change how you think about building systems in your farm bizāone Zap at a time.
Podcast Guest: Glen Young
Glen is the owner of Cold Springs Organic Farm in Campbellcroft, Ontario. He has a background in engineering and worked for 15 years in information technology. During that time, he built enough of a real estate portfolio to semi-retire and spend a lot of time with his young boys. In 2016, he and his wife Amy welcomed a new baby girl into the family. Baby Graceās birth really opened Glenās eyes to the risks of climate change and problems with the industrial food system, so Glen found a friend and investor to help him form a joint-venture, buy some farmland and start farming carbon.
His goals are to make the farm an example for sustainability and to accomplish this, heās been racing to make it financially sustainable. Glen lives with his amazing wife Amy and three children just east of Toronto, Canada and always loves to connect with other small-scale farmers or aspiring farmers in the area so donāt hesitate to reach out to him!

What happens when a total city girl decides to go all-in on the homesteading life⦠and ends up building a full-blown farm business from scratch?
In this episode, I sit down with Beth DeClerq, a self-taught homesteader who started out just wanting to be self-sufficientāand ended up creating a profitable farm business thatās now helping her family build toward a full-time income.
Beth didnāt grow up farming. She had zero experience with animals or agriculture. But one step at a timeāraising chickens, gardening, milking a cow, selling eggsāshe figured it out. And along the way, her neighbors started asking if they could buy from her. Fast forward to today, and Beth is scaling her farm operation, growing an online membership that teaches homesteading skills, and using the early bird sales system she learned from this podcast to sell out her pastured poultry⦠before theyāve even hit the freezer.
š§ This is a story of grit, organic growth, and leaning into your niche. Tune in to hear how Beth turned her side hustle into something biggerāand the key takeaways sheās learned along the way.
Today's Podcast Guest: Beth DeclercqBeth Declercq is a city-kid-turned-homesteader, raising 8 kids with her husband Tommy on 10 acres in mid-Michigan. She originally began homesteading with the desire to provide better food for her family, but eventually their change in lifestyle grew into a longing for financial self sufficiency too. Their small homestead now generates enough revenue to cover all it's own costs, and then some, and they are currently on the journey of scaling from family homestead to a small farm.

It started with a few innocent dog scratches. My dog Daisy was itching like crazy, and I began to wonder: could it be her food?
One Google search later, I found myself tumbling headfirst into a raw dog food rabbit holeācomplete with Facebook ads, blog articles, YouTube videos, and a subscription box I could not refuse.
In just seven days, I went from āhmm, maybe Iāll try something newā to full-blown raw food DIYer with a freezer full of meat and a meal plan I created myself. And I didnāt just buy dog foodāI bought into an identity shift. I wanted to become the kind of person who makes her own dog food.
In this episode, I walk you through that transformationāfrom unaware to superfanāand break down the stages of the sales funnel framework that brought me there. Iām also challenging YOU to think critically about how your farmās sales funnel is designed to do the same thing for your customers.

Is your farmās sales funnel doing a great job of bringing in first-time customersābut then dropping the ball when it comes to getting them to buy again?

A few weeks ago, my farmer friend Glen Young (shoutout to Glen!) sent me a message: "Hey, Corinnaādid you know your website pop-up isnāt popping anymore?"
Uh-oh. Turns out, something had changed inside Kit.com (my email service provider), and I needed to go behind the scenes to tweak a few settings. That pop-up is one of the biggest drivers of email signups for my farm, so I was SO grateful he caught the issue before it went unnoticed for too long.
This got me thinkingāhow many farmers have a lead magnet set up but arenāt actually promoting it in the right places? Or worse, have no idea if itās even working?
So today, Iām breaking down 5 key places you should be advertising your lead magnet so you can grow your email list faster and turn more leads into customers. Plus, Iāve got a free resource to help you brainstorm 20+ farm lead magnet ideas so you can get started today!
