Matilda Thorpe is best known for playing Mandy in the sitcom Desmond’s and it’s spinoff series Porkpie, and in Sicknote on Sky starring Rupert Grint and Nick Frost. Her multiple other TV credits include Murder Most Horrid, The Upper Hand, Bad Girls and Rosemary & Thyme. Her film roles include Nina in One Life, Aunt Melody in the Amy Winehouse Biopic Back to Black, Queen of Hearts, Stationer in Crush and Andrea in Not Another Happy Ending. Stage appearances include It's a Girl (Winner Time Out Best Musical) and When We Are Married (Winner Olivier Award Best Comedy) at the Garrick Theatre. She was a member of the 'Dogs on Holiday' comedy improvisation team at the Hurricane Club in London's West End for 10 years, who famously performed alongside Robin Williams, among others .

New York comedian Modi was voted one of the top 10 comedians in New York City by The Hollywood Reporter and has been featured on HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, Howard Stern, and E! Entertainment. Modi has received rave reviews in The New York Times, Time Out NY and The New York Post. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Modi emigrated with his family to the United States at the age of seven. Equipped with a sharp wit and a knack for reading an audience, Modi has gone on to become a successful fixture in New York's vibrant comedy scene, often doing bits that incorporate his heritage, and he is a hit with diverse Jewish audiences as well as fans of all backgrounds and beliefs. Now a regular performer at the New York and Los Angeles comedy clubs, Modi also headlines around the country and across the globe. Modi has played himself on HBO's Crashing and Netflix's When Jews Were Funny. He's also appeared in several feature films and played leading roles in two: Waiting for Woody Allen, which won the LA Film Festival, and Stand Up, a feature-length film. Karl Howman is best known for playing Jacko in the sitcom Brush Strokes from 1986 to 1991, Mulberry in Mulberry from 1992 to 1993 and Buster Briggs in EastEnders from 2014 to 2016. As a writer, his first book, Secret Spitfires, went to paperback from hardback in 2022; he also co-directed and produced the film of the same name. His second book, A Million Ways to stay on the Run which he co-wrote with Donal Macintyre, was a Sunday Times bestseller in early 2023. The audio book, which is narrated by Karl, won the Best Audio Book 2024 at True Crime Awards .

Will Eaves is a British writer, poet and professor at the University of Warwick. He began writing for the Times Literary Supplement in 1992 and joined the paper as its Arts Editor in 1995. He left in 2011 to become an Associate Professor in the Writing Programme at the University of Warwick. In 2020, he judged the Goldsmiths Prize and was a Visiting Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. In 2016, he was a Sassoon Visiting Fellow at the Bodleian Library. He has written five novels, two books of poetry, and one volume of literary essays. For for book Murmur, Eaves was shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize and won the Wellcome Book Prize. He has given talks, seminars and readings around the world and has appeared several times on BBC Radio 3’s The Verb, with Ian Macmillan, and on BBC Radio 4’s Start the Week and Open Book. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. His book The Point of Distraction is out now and you can preorder Invasion of the Polyhedrons any time. It’s out at the end of October 2024 .

Toby Tarrant presented the mid-morning slot on Radio X since 2018. He started his national radio broadcasting career on Capital FM, presenting the early breakfast show in 2014. In October 2016, he moved to the same time slot on Radio X,. His daily 10am-1pm slot has amassed 1.2 million weekly listeners, and when Chris Moyles is on holiday, Toby steps in and is let loose on the Radio X Breakfast Show, as well as doing the same for Johnny Vaughn on drive-time. Chris Cantrill is a 3-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated comedian, writer and actor. The Times described him, as “one of the most charmingly, daftly funny comics on the scene right now”. Since making his television debut on Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), Chris has become a regular on television and radio. He’s appeared in shows such as the BAFTA-winning Alma’s Not Normal (BBC 2), Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (Channel 4) and Avoidance (BBC One). He’s also written for the likes of Dave, Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, Cbeebies and CBBC. As half of the acclaimed double act The Delightful Sausage with Amy Gledhill, Chris has been twice nominated for the ‘Best Show’ award at the Edinburgh Festival (2019 and 2022). Chris and Amy have appeared on shows such as Question Team (Dave), Pointless (BBC One), and as series regulars for Late Night Mash (Dave). Chris is also the co-creator and star of BBC Radio 4’s breakout comedy, Icklewick FM which The Radio Times called “one of the best comedies of 2024”. Chris will be embarking on his debut solo tour at the end of 2024 into 2025.

Peter York is an author and broadcaster who came to fame writing the Sloane Ranger Handbook with Ann Barr. He was also the Style Editor of Harpers & Queen for 10 years and became a media commentator on English social trends and traits, regularly appearing on television. Peter wrote Peter York's Eighties (1996), this time co-authored with Charles Jennings, which was both a book and a BBC television series. This was followed by Dictators' Homes (2005), which explored the interior design favoured by dictators as a reflection of their despotic characters. Recently Peter wrote the book, The War Against the BBC, about how an Unprecedented Combination of Hostile Forces Is Destroying Britain’s Greatest Cultural Institution... And Why People Should Care. He’s also presented a sixty-minute live show, How to Become a Nicer Type of Person, on stage in Edinburgh and London and Peter York's Hipster Handbook on BBC Four. His latest book is called A Dead Cat on your Table, and is available from the 1st of October 2024. In it he’s teamed up with renowned political cartoonist Martin Rowson, and in they dissect the divisive nature of today’s Culture Wars and how distraction and outrage are weaponized to manipulate opinion; the dead cat tactic as it’s known.

Sue Cleaver is an actor best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street since 2000, as well as appearing in Dinnerladies, Casualty, A Touch of Frost, and The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper. She took part in a I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2022, and is a regular panellist on Loose Women. She is currently touring the UK as Mother Superior in Sister Act. Her first book, A Work in Progress, is a call-to-arms for women as they get older to remember their value and hold on to their confidence, with Sue sharing experiences from her incredible life (many of which she has never spoken about before and will be revealed for the first time in the book) and advice (she is a trained therapist).

Elf Lyons was awarded the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, the Comedian's Choice Award for Best Show and the Mervyn Stutter 'Spirit of the Fringe' Award and received 12 ★★★★★ reviews and a sell out run of her show Horses at the Edinburgh Fringe. For her show Raven she was awarded Best Show at the Reykjavik Fringe in Iceland and was awarded Best Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe, Australia. In 2023 Elf was listed as number 25 in The Telegraphs 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century' and was nominated for the Deaf Action Award for Deaf Excellence for her comedy show Heist .

Robin Morgan is a Welsh stand-up comedian, writer, presenter and actor. Robin has appeared on Mock The Week, The News Quiz, The Now Show and co-created Ellie Taylor’s Safe Space on BBC Radio 4. He co-created and hosts the award-winning topical comedy panel show What Just Happened? on BBC Radio Wales. He starred in the Michael-Winterbottom-directed-Kenneth-Branagh-starring drama This England on Sky Atlantic). He has performed four solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival, his debut in 2016 was later adapted into a half-hour recording for BBC Radio Wales, as 'Robin Morgan: Proposes'. Robin’s third solo show was filmed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2019 and is available to watch on Next Up Comedy. His fourth show, ‘Snip Snip, Bitch’ toured the UK in 2023, and is available to watch on YouTube. He is currently on his biggest tour to date in 2024, with the brand new show ‘The Spark’. Robin is also a seasoned comedy writer for television and radio, with credits including Have I Got News For You, The Mash Report, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Too Hot To Handle on Netflix, The Great Pottery Throw Down, Late Night Mash, Hello America, Blind Date and the MTV European Music Awards among others. He is also a television warm-up artist for programmes such as The Graham Norton Show .

Gary Warren is a former child actor, best remembered for his role as Peter in the 1970 film The Railway Children. Now retired from acting Gary Warren also played Cedric Collingford in the 1970 TV series Catweazle and Taplow in Whack-O!, as well as starring as Alexander in his own TV sitcom Alexander the Greatest. In the West End, he played the nephew of Mame in the musical Mame starring Ginger Rogers. Gary has written a memoir of his acting years and his passion for music entitled If My Memoir Serves Me Well. It is available on Kindle and the audiobook is available on Audible. He has also written a novel, 1961 Greenwich Village; a Fable, also available on Kindle and in audiobook on Audible .

Christian Brighty is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer who has his own BBC Radio 4 series “The Many Wrongs of Lord Christian Brighty”. His show PLAYBOY was one of the best-reviewed shows of the Edinburgh Fringe 2022, and sold out runs at the Pleasance Courtyard and Soho Theatre. The show was nominated for the Amused Moose Best Show award as well as Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival. In 2021, his TikTok sketches based on Bridgerton, Poldark and Jane Austen catapulted him to viral stardom, racking up a combined 100 million views. These sketches have been featured on Buzzfeed, BBC Online, and even broadcast on American TV Network MSNBC gaining him 475,000 followers and quickly securing his place as the internet’s answer to Mr Darcy. .

Major-General Chapman joined the British Army in September 1980. He joined 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) and fought in the Falklands campaign, including the Battle of Goose Green. He stayed with 2 PARA until May 1985 which included his first Northern Ireland tour. In 1994 he returned to 2 PARA as a company commander for an 18 month operational tour in Belfast, prior to becoming 2IC 1 PARA and was promoted to Lt Col in March 1996. In July 1998 he became SO1 Operations in NI, and went on to command 2 PARA from August 1999-December 2001. His tour as CO included a NI reinforcement tour and the weapons collection mission (OP BESSEMER) in Macedonia. He was promoted to Colonel in December 2001 and appointed Colonel Military Operations 2 in the MoD (dealing with Counter Terrorism). As a Brigadier, he commanded 19 Mech Bde from 2003-2005, prior to becoming the last COS in NI (his fifth NI tour). He was Head of Counter Terrorism and UK Operations in the MoD from 2007-2010. In 2010, he became the Senior British Military Advisor to US Central Command. His post military career has involved writing a successful book, Notes From A Small Military .

Suzy Perry is best known for covering MotoGP for the BBC for 13 years, The Gadget Show on Channel 5 for 9 years and the first permanent female anchor for BBC’s Formula One coverage. Her other sports presenting includes Wimbledon, the Boat Race, the London Marathon, Royal Ascot and the Great North Run. She also helped to present the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
