So, it’s been quite the week hasn’t it. Suella Braverman and David Cameron seem the be the names on everyone’s lips, even Kay Burley’s, where one of the first things she said about DC was that he’d put on weight. I’m sure if a male presenter had said that about a female presenter, there’d be outrage, but hey ho. We’ve got a great show for you this week, talking about the reshuffle and whether or not it matters that there aren’t any openly LGBT ministers attending cabinet now.

This is quite the episode. Joe and Albie have quite a heated debate about 'free speech absolutism', and whether or not being hurt or offended can, or should, be legislated. Does calling someone the 'n-word' or a homophobic slur automatically mean that someone should be prosecuted? This comes after Labour announced that they plan to impose prison sentences for misgendering. We also discuss newly released footage of a pride flag being torn down at a pro-Palestine march and Luke asks whether or not there is a 'crisis of intersectionality?'.

This week we’re going to play you the interview that Albie did with chairman of the London assembly Andrew Boff, who you might now know as the quiet heckler from party conference the other week. We had caught up with him shortly before that all happened, and Andrew has a broad church of opinions. Albie asks him what it was like being a gay tory in the Thatcher years as he’s been going to conference every year for almost 50 years now. He talks about what working with Boris was like vs what working with Sadiq Khan is like, and he has some pretty strong thoughts on the Home Secretary’s controversial comments on asylum seekers claiming to be gay to get into the country, and weighs in on Equalities Minister, Kemi Badenoch.

We're recording live from the Conservative Party Conference 2023 in Manchester, and Albie speaks to Alicia Kearns MP, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton since the 2019 general election. She is currently the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, and was the first ever woman to be elected to the position. Alicia also hosts the China Research Group, to promote debate and fresh thinking about how Britain should respond to the rise of China. She talks about conversion therapy following rumours that the government is planning to drop a ban on the practise, and talks about how being a woman in politics is an interesting journey.
