Our Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Anniversary month draws to a close this week as we take a deep dive (get it?) into one of the most atmospheric and haunting areas in the game: Torvus Bog! We examine the three distinct parts - upper Torvus Bog, Subterranean, and Dark Torvus Bog - and talk about our favorite rooms in the area, some of the most memorable expansions you can collect, the lore behind the area and its history as a forest, some of the notable bosses and enemies in the area, and a discussion on what might be one of the best musical remixes in the series!

Logbook Archives returns this week to give a complete history and detailing of all of the various Gunships (or Starships, as they are also known) that Samus has piloted over the course of the franchise! We examine the history of the main ships - Super Metroid's, Zero Mission's, Fusion's, Prime 1 and Prime 3's - and talk about our favorite design aspects, who built them, what functions the are implied to have, and what our favorite and least favorite version of the ship is. Mapping Metroid returns, and we're going where we've never gone before: the planet Bion from everybody's favorite spinoff Metroid Prime: Federation Force! Since the game is level based, this Mapping Metroid is a little different, as we go through and rank all seven levels on the planet! From the incredible missions like Tremor and Slipstream to the hardest and most notorious level in Federation Force, Blender, we go through and give our thoughts on the boss battles, ambivalent lore scattered throughout, musical tracks, and Bion's obsession and fascination with... mini-golf?? Having just replayed the game, Andy also gives his thoughts on what the fatal flaw of Federation Force is, and spoiler - it's not the chibi art style!

One of our most anticipated episodes of the year is finally here! Alien in Review is BACK to review the newest entry in the series: Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus! The newest Alien movie takes place in between Alien and Aliens, which is fitting as it strikes a perfect tone between the two masterpieces. Andy is joined once again by Gooey Fame to discuss Romulus in great detail! We go over the film's new cast of characters, who we liked and hope to see return, how the effects and vibe came off, what the best kills of the movie were, the new lore added to the franchise, Romulus's connections to the other entries, how this movie impacts the world of Alien going forward, and our overall review of the film! The first half is spoiler free, whereas the second half is filled with spoilers! We give a big spoiler warning, but listener beware! We also talk a little Alien: Earth, the new Hulu series being released next year and what we're hoping to see!
