  • On today's episode I am joined by Bobby Castro.

As a self-made business mogul, Bobby Castro exemplifies the transformation from entrepreneur to leader. With only a ninth-grade education, Bobby founded Bankers Healthcare Group in 2001 with an investment of just $25,000. Today, he’s reached a personal net worth of $300 million. Bobby knows that above all, the key to scaling a business is leadership. As the leader of his company for more than 18 years Bobby instilled in his team a positive mental attitude (PMA), creating a workplace environment and culture that inspired top-level performance and unheard of revenue returns.

Under Bobby’s leadership, BHG grew exponentially, from a Zero valuation to a $250 Million valuation and him exiting at a whopping $1 Billion Dollar valuation. Now, Bobby is venturing into a new chapter to work with business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to duplicate the success he’s earned from hands-on experience by transforming into positive leaders. Having achieved financial freedom on his own terms, Bobby wants to teach others how to scale their businesses so they too can achieve unprecedented results. All this with no outside investors!

In addition, to growing the value of his company beyond belief, Bobby has created a community of happy, loyal employees and has been awarded nationally for that rare accomplishment. He was the recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2012, led BHG to be included on the Inc. 500/5000 list 13 times, and has been recognized by Fortune, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Hispanic 500, Crain’s and more. He was a keynote speaker at 10X, and has been featured numerous times in the WallStreet Journal, Bloomberg, Smart Business Magazine and CNBC, among others.

At the heart of Bobby’s business philosophy is a commitment to the community and social responsibility. Both Bobby and BHG proudly support charitable organizations locally in Florida, Syracuse, and nationally like Operation Smile, Food for the Poor, American Cancer Society, and House Calls for the Homeless and more.

Lastly, Bobby has a burning passion for Multifamily Investing and ownership. Bobby currently owns over $400 Million Dollars of Multifamily Properties that generates cash flow for he and his family. Throughout the years Bobby has learned the formula and meaning of generational wealth from so many mistakes, frustrations and struggles and he is a prime example of the American Dream and more so with no outside investors!

  • On today’s episode, I’m joined by Richard Wong.

Richard Wong is the co-founder of Memento Digital Group, a digital marketing agency for mortgage brokers.

A born-and-raised Vancouverite, Richard's journey through the corporate world and entrepreneurship has taught him many lessons along the way.

From banking to custom suits and the transitions in between, Richard recounts the growth that has gotten him to where he is today.

Memento is derived from the Latin word Memento Mori which literally means, "Remember that you must die." That phrase really resonated with me and is reflected accurately on Richard's journey in entrepreneurship thus far. We truly only have one life so it's important to make the most out of it.

Richard was like many new college graduates and decided to go into banking because it was a great place to kickstart your career and get your foot in the door. After climbing the corporate ladder and feeling burnt out Richard handed in his 2 weeks notice and called it quits. He had no back-up, no job lined up. He just quit.  It just so happened that a friend of his, Will approached him to expand Garrison Bespoke, a custom tailoring suit company to Vancouver. Garrison was Richard's first taste of entrepreneurship and he never looked back. He learned important lessons on storytelling, listening, and understanding your client's needs and being extremely relatable.

Richard took his knowledge in digital marketing and sales to launch Memento Digital Group. We talk about entrepreneurship, how to get started, his biggest struggles, and how he overcame them, and how to juggle a relationship and maintain a healthy work-life balance as an entrepreneur.

  • On today’s episode, I’m joined by Timur Dovich.

I had the pleasure to speak with Tim Dovich, a multi-million dollar Amazon FBA entrepreneur.

Timur went from being an international student from Kazakhstan and having a regular 9-5 job to owning and advising multi-million dollar amazon businesses in the supplement space within 2 years of college graduation.

Tim came from very humble beginnings and hit the ground running when he first landed in Vancouver. He was so focused on his studies that he never left the Simon Fraser Campus in Burnaby during his first year of University. Tim actually started his first amazon business while in college and it was not a success. Things were never easy and Tim almost didn't take the leap of faith. He had to quit his 9-5 job and take out a line of credit to cover his living expenses to start his second Amazon business. For three months straight, Timur consumed every single piece of content available online and went to work. In the first month, Timur did over $100,000 in sales and the rest is history. Today he manages multiple brands and acts as a brand advisor for multi-million dollar Amazon businesses.

His story is definitely one that you don't want to miss!

  • On today’s episode, I’m joined by Kimmy Xiao, she's better known as the Founder of Whisk Premium Matcha & Cafe.

Kimmy is the heart and soul behind Whisk Premium Matcha Inc. as well as Whisk Matcha Cafe on 39 Kingsway, Vancouver. She has traveled across Japan multiple times to find the best matcha and she is passionate about sharing it with others. You can now find her handcrafting your matcha drinks at her brand new cafe.

Whisk Premium Matcha is proud to be the one and only organic competition grade matcha distributor & purveyor in North America. Growing competition grade matcha requires extraordinary time and effort, but the end products are amazingly different.

At Whisk Premium Matcha, we believe in authentic finest matcha made organically from handpicked young tea leaves through a traditional Japanese grinding technique. We know that by following the meticulous process that matcha artisans have followed for thousands of years you will get a bowl of emerald green, smooth and aromatic matcha that mass-produced, commercialized matcha brands cannot deliver. Organic farming is good for our earth, ecosystem, and future generations.

On this episode, I had the pleasure of talking to Kimmy about her journey of how she started Whisk premium matcha. We talked about the trials and turbulences that she went through starting a business. We also talked about the health benefits of matcha, the different grades of matcha, how matcha powder is made, and the ceremonial method of consuming matcha. In order to expand her knowledge and find the best suppliers, Kimmy took a trip to Japan to visit the tea leaf farms that were off the grid.
