In today’s episode, I delve into why so many of us—especially women—experience heightened stress during the holiday season. I talk about cognitive overload, the mental strain that occurs when we’re overwhelmed by tasks, decisions, and responsibilities, which often leads to fatigue and burnout. We cover the power of boundaries, how setting non-negotiables and releasing nonessential commitments can protect our mental energy. I also encourage you to try pre-planning responses to common requests and practice “micro-boundaries,” like finding quiet moments in gatherings to recharge. Finally, I emphasize the importance of self-compassion; the holidays don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful. Instead, focus on moments of joy, and allow space for imperfections. With a bit of planning, boundaries, and self-compassion, you can reduce stress, stay present, and truly enjoy what matters most this holiday season. Here’s to a magical, balanced, and less overwhelming holiday.

  • In this episode, I reflect on a conference I recently attended and the profound insights I took away. Immersed in a room of growth-minded speakers, authors, and coaches, I felt the contagious energy of shared purpose and encouragement. Three major takeaways resonated deeply. First, I was challenged to identify whose opinions truly matter to me and focus on being irreplaceable to those key people—a lens to help prioritize amidst life's chaos. Next, I heard an unexpected perspective: perfectionists aren’t always pristine but are often "pile people," gathering unfinished projects in neat stacks out of a desire to get everything just right. Lastly, a concept called "life gate moments" stuck with me—those pivotal events that redefine our paths and values. These shifts are irreversible and often lead to growth and clarity. As we navigate life’s transitions, I encourage you to reflect on who you are irreplaceable to, tackle those perfectionist piles, and honor your life gate moments.

  • In this podcast episode, I share how the chaos of juggling multiple roles, ambitions, and obligations can leave us overwhelmed and disconnected from what matters most. Despite having a knack for planning, I struggled to maintain momentum after becoming a parent. My foggy, sleep-deprived mind forced me to rethink how I organized my life. I dive into five limiting thought patterns that kept me from effective planning, such as waiting for the "right time," striving for perfection, doubting my skills, fearing uncertainty, and struggling to ask for help. Through personal stories, I explore how shifting these patterns allowed me to reclaim control and find joy in planning. It’s not about rigid schedules but creating space for meaningful reflection, connection, and action. I encourage listeners to challenge their own limiting beliefs and take small steps to embrace intentional planning, promising more clarity and purpose, if not complete ease, on this journey.

  • When was the last time you allowed yourself to get truly bored—and could boredom be the secret key to unlocking your creativity and achieving your goals?

In this episode, we’re diving into the power of boredom and how it can actually fuel creativity, clarity, and even help you achieve your 2025 goals. Inspired by the book Bored and Brilliant by Manoush Zomorodi, I’ll break down why boredom isn’t something to avoid—it’s an opportunity for deep thinking and creativity.

With our constant connection to phones and technology, we rarely give our minds the space to wander, and that’s where the magic happens. I’ll also share the Bored and Brilliant Challenge, a series of small, intentional steps to minimize distractions and reclaim your creative spark.

From letting yourself get bored in line to embracing tech-free walks, this episode is all about reframing boredom as a tool for growth. Let’s talk about how boredom can spark new ideas, fuel your well-being, and bring more creativity into your life. You might just find it’s the secret weapon you didn’t know you needed!

Are you tired of rigid goal-setting systems that feel overwhelming and want a fun, creative approach that actually prioritizes your well-being?

In this episode, I’m breaking down exactly why the Plan Goal Plan method is different from other time management and goal-setting systems out there. We’re all familiar with systems like SMART goals and time-blocking, but let’s be real—they can feel rigid and overwhelming, and they’re hard to stick with long-term. The Plan Goal Plan method flips the script by helping you plan in a way that prioritizes your well-being and personal development, without sacrificing your ambition.

I’ll walk you through how this approach centers on getting clarity first—before jumping into goals—and uses creative tools like stickers and doodling to make planning fun, not a chore. This episode is especially for women who’ve spent years putting others first and want to reclaim their time and joy while thriving both at work and at home. Plus, I’ve got something exciting to share with you, so stick around to the end!

  • What if the key to achieving your biggest goals lies in embracing setbacks, building daily habits, and rethinking how you approach success?

In my conversation with Joey Lye, Chief Empowerment Officer of Joey Lye LLC, Olympic bronze medalist, and TEDx speaker, she shared incredible insights on goal-setting, mindset, and resilience. Joey’s story is one of determination—starting with her childhood dream of becoming an Olympian and the ups and downs that came with it. She talked about the power of mindset and how, even when she faced setbacks, she used breathwork, self-talk, and discipline to stay focused.

Her transition from athlete to leadership expert is fascinating. She helps individuals and teams develop stronger cultures through the same principles that helped her excel. What stood out to me was her emphasis on support systems and how setbacks clarify how much we want something. Joey also reminded me of the power of breaking big goals into daily actions and how we show up every day.

Her story is a reminder to dream big, use your resources, and trust the journey. Joey’s experience will leave you feeling inspired.

  • Free Workshop: Reflect, Align, and Thrive: Ending the Year with Intention

In this episode, I’m fired up after listening to a podcast that got under my skin. There’s this trend I’ve noticed lately where influencers/thought leaders are telling women to stop dreaming big, and honestly, it’s rubbing me the wrong way. I think there’s a real danger in linking big dreams with overwhelm, especially when it’s coming from people who are wildly successful. It feels disingenuous.

Here’s the thing—your big dreams aren’t what’s making you feel overwhelmed. It’s all the little stuff, the expectations, the “shoulds” we pile on ourselves. I break down the difference between aspirations, goals, and expectations and urge you to keep dreaming, but to let go of those unrealistic expectations.

    Pre-order Kendra Adachi's The Plan.

Living a big life doesn’t mean doing more; sometimes, it’s about slowing down and making space for what matters. So, I’m here to say: Dream as big as you want. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Big dreams don’t cause overwhelm—unrealistic expectations do – It’s not your aspirations that lead to burnout, but the unnecessary tasks and “shoulds” we place on ourselves.

There’s a difference between aspirations, goals, and expectations – Aspirations are your big-picture dreams, goals are the action steps to achieve them, and expectations are often unrealistic pressures that lead to frustration.

Living a big life means making space for what matters – Dreaming big isn’t about doing more, it’s about focusing on the things that truly matter and letting go of the rest.

  • Free Workshop: Reflect, Align, and Thrive: Ending the Year with Intention

In this episode, we're diving into planner season and why your planner—no matter how gorgeous or hyped—won’t save you. We all love that fresh paper and dreaming of productivity ninja mode, but here's the truth: planners are just tools. They won’t magically fix your life.

I’m breaking down the limitations of planners—they can’t control chaos, stop you from being too busy, or make you less overwhelmed. But here’s the good news: planners can help if used right. They prompt reflection, give structure to your processes, act as visual reminders, and organize your thoughts. It’s all about pairing the right tool with the right habits and systems.

And hey, if you’re searching for the perfect planner, I’m here for it! Sign up for Perfect Paper Planner Match. I love matching people with planners that fit their brains and their lives. So, no magic wands here, but planners can be lifesavers while you do the work.

    Key Takeaways:

Planners are just tools, not miracle workers – No planner will magically make you more productive. It's the systems and habits you build around them that make the difference.

Use planners to reflect and structure your processes – A good planner can prompt self-reflection, organize your thoughts, and provide visual reminders to stay on track.

Find a planner that works for you – Not every planner fits everyone's life. It's important to experiment and find the one that complements your personal habits and workflow.

As the year draws to a close, take a moment to pause, reflect, and realign with your goals and vision for the future. • Feeling flat? Enroll in Hit Reset: Journaling Your Way to Clarity & Connection!

In this episode, I explore a common dilemma: should you stick with more repetitions to reach your goals, or is it time to adapt and change strategies? I dive into the fine line between persistence and flexibility, sharing insights on how to figure out if your efforts need more patience and practice or a fresh approach. Using real-life examples from fitness, business, and personal growth, I discuss the importance of tracking progress, spotting signs of stagnation, and knowing when to embrace change. Tune in for actionable tips on how to balance consistency with adaptability and decide whether to keep pushing or pivot.

    Key Takeaways:

Repetition Builds Mastery: When working towards a goal, consistent repetition is crucial for skill-building and forming habits. Progress often comes through persistence, even when results aren't immediate.

Track Your Progress: Monitoring incremental improvements, even small ones, can help you determine if repetition is effective. Keeping track of key metrics ensures you're moving in the right direction, even without instant success.

Know When to Adapt: If you’re facing stagnation, burnout, or a lack of motivation despite consistent effort, it may be time to switch things up. Flexibility is key to avoiding plateaus and reigniting your passion for the goal.
