  • Is there too much football at the top level of the game? It's a hot topic of debate particularly in light of Rodri suffering a serious injury only days after speaking out again about the demands on players physically and mentally at the upper echelons of the game.

Clayton joins James for an open discussion on if the likes of Rodri are right, and if so, what can be done to change things?

Conversation features the Science opinion on how many games games top players are asked to play, why the manager and player opinion often differs from 'the club' demands, the future of the Carabao Cup, whether the FIFA Club World Cup will actually happen, if players could actually consider strike action and a suggestion that might actually have some legs in the longer-term to reduce the amount of games players participate in.

  • James is joined by Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard and Leicester City fan Aaron Lagor to discuss the latest at their clubs and their interesting FPL assets ahead of Saturday's Gameweek 6 meeting between the clubs at The Emirates.

There's reaction to Arsenal's dramatic draw at Manchester City and their start to the season, the dual for the title and whether The Gunners have really been as good defensively as we all seem to think they have been?

While Leicester remain winless, but have been involved in 5 close contests (losing 2) under Steve Cooper. What's the current sentiment to manager Steve Cooper and their hopes for survival in light of the Premier League's failure to make the PSR charge against The Foxes stick?

And there's a detailed chat on FPL assets; with many on Wildcard what are the best three Arsenal players to invest in and it should it be double offence or defence? There's also coverage of some intriguing Leicester enablers and whether Bukayo Saka should be trusted by FPL managers with the armband this weekend?

  • Suj has seen enough and despite a strong start to his FPL season the Wildcard is now active! On the review of all the Gameweek 5 fixtures there is a theme of looking for players on Wildcard as James tries to lead Suj into what he would do if in the same position. And for James it was another positive week against his no Haaland and no Salah strategy, but an early move has been made for GW6 and it's unlikely to surprise.

Arsenal assets with be in high demand; so is double defensive the way to go after another resolute showing in earning a point in a dramatic encounter at Manchester City? That game features in the tactical insight into the games where James even found himself impressed by Manchester United; as he was by an improved Tottenham but it was a bad day at the office for West Ham as they were beaten comfortably by Chelsea.

Enabling options for selection also feature prominently and James has two midfielders on radar who didn't return at the weekend...

  • James is joined by Souuthampton fan Matt Samuel and Ipswich Town fan Paul Gaught-Allen ahead of the meeting between the two promoted clubs at St Mary's on Saturday.

Both clubs remain winless, but the situation feels more troublesome at Southampton following their defeat at Manchester United and despite averaging a whopping 62% possession so far, they have only scored once.

Ipswich have two points more following draws with Fulham and Brighton and now have an outstanding long-term fixture run on the horizon where they will hope to rise up the table.

There's discussion on the 4.0 defensive assets including Taylor Harwoord-Bellis and Jacob Greaves, Ipswich's attacking talents for Fantasy and why despite their scoring assets James has two Southampton players high on his watchlist.

  • Clayton and James have an open discussion about the word expert, its factual definition and its use within the FPL community.

Because it's a word James really dislikes. But why does he dislike it? Or is it that he doesn't dislike it at all, and only dislikes how it is used?

And there's brief coverage to kick off on the words that lost out in the poll, 'nailed' and 'essential'.

  • On the Gameweek 5 Review Suj and James discuss all the games from the weekend and it was a particularly painful one for James following defeat in the North London Derby. Discussion on Arsenal's victory and how they overcame the absence of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.

But it wasn't all bad news for James in FPL as Ollie Watkins matched another Erling Haaland haul and it was another successful weekend for Suj who included Gabriel in his starting eleven.

Plus, for many Wildcarders there may be regret as Liverpool assets flopped in a surprise defeat to Nottingham Forest and a theme of this week's review is a hunt for decent forward options.

  • James welcomes Fulham fan Lewis James (for his CotC debut) and West Ham fan Chrsi Stone to discuss the latest at their clubs and their FPL assets ahead of Saturday's London Derby at Craven Cottage.

There's discussion on each club's start to the season and the integration of some of the new signings towards the end of the transfer window and how they may be integrated into the team, particularly at Fulham with Joachim Andersen, Sander Berge and Reiss Nelson all pushing for inclusion. While at West Ham so far we've seen the integration of Max Kilman, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Guido Rodriguez; but the likes of Crysensio Summerville, Carlos Soler and the current injured Nicklas Fullkrug will all be hoping to break into the team soon.

And FPL discussion features discussion on some popular Fulham selections, including Antonee Robinson, Emile Smith-Rowe and Rodrigo Muniz, and why West Ham assets like Jarrod Bowen are continuing to be overlooked by the majority.

  • James is joined by Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson and Everton fan Sean Norton to discuss their clubs and FPL assets of interest ahead of the Gameweek 4 meeting between the two clubs at Villa Park.

Ollie Watkins has underwhelmed so far this season, now yellow flagged and key provider Leon Bailey is injured... so why is James considering captaining the Villa talisman in Gameweek 4?

Facing a pointless Everton who are struggling without defensive lynchpin Jarrad Branthwaite is a good place to start; but is it really all that bad for The Toffees, who cone into a brilliant fixture run after the trip to Villa, and there is one Evertonian Sean intends to go for on Wildcard!

And Villa's good run of fixtures has already begun, with Morgan Rogers proving popular despite zero returns so far and there will be interest in their defensive assets too, but there's a warning to avoid.

  • James is joined by Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle and Brentford fan Tom Medd to discuss the latest at their clubs and some very important FPL assets ahead of the club's meeting at The Etihad in Gameweek 4.

Erling Haaland looks back to his very best and off the back of two consecutive hat-tricks, there's reflection on if we carried problems through last season and whether he will be the FPL captaincy choice of preference over forthcoming weeks.

Kevin De Bruyne is undertaking a new role and also looking back to his best, with Phil Foden absent recently there's focus on him and other Manchester City assets, including the mid price midfielders and the prospects of defensive assets Rico Lewis and Josko Gavrdiol for FPL managers.

And Brentford assets should appeal too, they have an amazing fixture run after the trip to City and the likes of Mark Flekken, Sepp Van Den Berg, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are all subject to scrutiny for FPL managers

  • Suj and James discuss the fallout from all the Gameweek 3 games as Erling Haaland made it back-to-back hat-tricks for another seventeen points and Mo Salah match that total as Liverpool cruised to victory at Old Trafford. It mean owning both with the captaincy on either returned 51 points, and despite James' Wildcarding he's still sitting there with neither. So how bad did it turn out!?

All the games and key talking points discussed with a heavy focus on the FPL assets on mind both for the shorter term and thinking further ahead; plus James is pleased despite Tottenham's defeat at Newcastle, and for Manchester United there's a feeling that things won't change until there is change.

Tomorrow on Planet FPL: Clash of the Correspondents, Manchester City v Brentford with Jonny Pringle and Tom Medd
