We talk about how you should go about finding a mentor and how mentors add value. Our conversation ranges from different types of mentors, creating a list of topics to cover with a mentor, and also how to break up with a mentor.

Welcome to the New Year! In this episode I share with our network of listeners three basics areas to focus on when it is time to make a first impression in the world of business. For the month of January, I'm adding a shorter, 10 min format to the lineup of podcasts. I will be alternating between the 30 minutes interviews with my mentoring associates and my 10 minutes individual advice to our network of listeners. In this episode, I sat down with Texas Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton and Chloe Lins, a senior from the University of South Carolina to get Ryan's advice on how to overcome failure and achieve success. Ryan is a graduate of Texas A&M University and as I mentioned earlier..... he currently serves as the Texas Railroad Commissioner helping to regulate the energy industry in Texas. But in between graduating college just a "few" years ago and now serving as the Texas Railroad Commissioner, Ryan worked for several Oil & Gas companies and even started a multi-million dollar company along the way.

He currently works as a Management Consultant at Accenture but has also worked for companies such as Air Products, Donaldson, and Kraft Foods. He is originally from Riviera Beach, FL and is a hard working member of corporate America that graduated from Florida A&M University. He works for LyondellBassell Industries, is a licensed commercial real estate agent, and is the father of a brand new baby girl. With the goal of becoming a millionaire by the time he turns 40 .... Mr. Prince Gammage has had to learn how to manage his time and be disciplined. Get encouraged by a peer that has the same questions as you and a mentor that has walked in your shoes.
