Here's a romp of an episode:
Amelia and Keenan's UK travel itineraries overlapped a couple of months ago, and they're here to regale you with tales of filming locations seen (Bridgerton! Sense and Sensibility! Fleabag! Persuasion!), royalty glimpsed, corsets admired, fancy trains ridden, hallowed literary ground "hot pessed" upon, rakes booed at the Jane Austen Centre, correspondences from Dame Emma Thompson worshiped, cathedral bells rung, and more. (Once again: Historic Royal Palaces: call us!)
Yours ever, most ardently,
Keenan and Amelia

H, y'all - You can't have part one without part two! Julie and Allison continue their thought-provoking discussion of karaoke (part two of two). It's all because we are SO EXCITED for our live show on September 30th (at the Oasis!), that we're trying to release some wiggles. Lots of Love - Allison and Julie Photo by Alyssa Yung on Unsplash

Hi, y'all - Here's a little bonus episode for you as we close out our Outlander season! Take a turn about the room...so refreshing! In honor of our upcoming Podlander Drunkcast live show/event on Saturday, September 30, 2023, Julie and Allison go deep on karaoke. How much we love it, tips tricks....you name it. It gets pretty philosophical. Part one of two BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MUCH KARAOKE MEANS TO US. Lots of love - Allison and Julie Photo by Kane Reinholdtsen on Unsplash

Hi, y'all -
Herein you will find three âepisodesâ of What Now, where Allison and Julie shoot the shit for a minute about some random topic chosen by the hand of fate (i.e. - the excellent board game Personal Preference). Usually we reserve these for our Patreon supporters, so Julie gives a lilâ explainer at the beginning to get you up to speed.
If youâre into it, consider supporting us on Patreon to get sweet, sweet bonus content like this on the reg!

Hey y'all,
This episode was originally released as part of Podlander Drunkcast: an Outlander Podcast on Oct. 14, 2020. Get ready to hear Allison tell stories you just heard in the last episode because her memory is garbage and these episodes were recorded months apart! We get into the first episode of A&E/BBC's Pride and Prejudice miniseries andâspoiler alertâspend a lot of time talking about how hot Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle are.
Lots of love to you and your elevenses,
Allison, Julie, and Janine -
Hey y'all,
We are just absurdly tickled to share this interview with you. Brian A. Kates is an editor of a bunch of very good things, from stuff you've probably seen (Succession! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!) to stuff you maybe haven't but should (the John Cameron Mitchell films Shortbus and How to Talk to Girls at Parties, the David Simon shows Treme and The Plot Against America, many other good things). And oh, yeah, he's the editor of Fire Island. We talked to him about how great the movie is and also asked some really dumb questions, as is our wont. He was great. We're really proud of this one â hope you enjoy!
Next, we return to BBC/A&E/Nemesis, a.k.a. the miniseries with the pond in it.
Lots of love,
A+J+A

Hey y'all - This is the episode where our weird little Austen journey got started. We talk about our individual P&P experiences, then producer/co-host Janine tells us what happens in Pride and Prejudice, a book he has not read and a movie which he saw once and doesn't remember. What could possibly go wrong?
XOXO-

Hi y'all,
By now you've probably seen a lot of "wow the new Persuasion is pretty bad huh" content on the ol' internet. We are not here to disabuse you of that notion â not entirely. What we are here to do is a) tell a lot of jokes about a Pee Dress and b) talk about why the good things in Persuasion are good (two words: Posh Nosh) and why the bad things are bad (three words: gravy boat lazzi).
XOXOX-

Hi, y'all - Here's part three of our Fire Island recap....WE LOVE IT SO MUCH! We jump right in with discussion starting at the rainstorm/no-prosal scene. Thanks to Scottie and Bryan for being so game...and an extra-special thank you to TomĂĄs Matos as Keegan (Kitty), showing everyone that Kitty Erasure is not the look. Lots of love - Allison and Julie

Hi, Y'all - Allison and Julie are joined by friends of the show Scottie and Bryan to keep on keepin' on and on about Fire Island. So many amazing things to discuss - mostly revolving around how big Nick Adams's biceps are. As is tradition, we couldn't stop talking, so please look forward to part 3! A special shout out to friend of the pod Joe for helping us with some technical issues. Rain sounds from Zapsplat.com Lots of love - Allison and Julie

Hey. y'all - We're back on the PP (Pride and Prejudice, to any new listeners) tip to talk about Fire Island! It is so good! The adaptive choices are great! WE LOVE MARY!! This is part one of (at least) two because once again, we love to talk about things we like. Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Amelia

What happens when some mouthy broads with an irreverent "Outlander" podcasts run out of "Outlander" at the beginning of a world-changing pandemic? They pivot to men in ponds. "Sick Burn, Jane," the first spinoff of "Podlander Drunkcast: an Outlander Podcast," is a funny, profanity-laden journey through the world of Jane Austen adaptations, one book at a time. Hosts Allison Shoemaker, Julie Starbird and Amelia Buzzell explain how to the show came to be in this introduction.
Next: "Fire Island"!
