  • Some games you play because they make your heart race in excitement, others are played to scare you out of your pants, but there are also a ton that are played because they relax you. I like wearing pants so I prefer the last one. This week on the show I am joined by author and games journalist Ryan Janes to discuss his recently released book "The Most Relaxing Video Games". We talk about his inspiration for the book, his selection process and also what his preferred medium to color with is! Make sure you go check out Ryan and his book in the links below.

  • It's another Patreon poll episode! For this episode my patrons had me play Zillion for the Sega Master System and boy howdy it's a game. I'm joined by Coury from My Life in Gaming and Tiger Chainsaw (check out his YouTube channel!) to talk about Sega's version of Metroid/Impossible Mission. It's a game that had a lot of promise but we were mixed on it's execution. We also take some time to talk about the anime the game is based on. • Ya'll knew as soon as a Bluey video game came out that there would be an episode on this right? It's finally here. I'm joined by my good friend Jordan Kuhns to talk about everyone's favorite australian heeler and her first foray into gaming. We spend the first portion of the episod talking about the game but the vast majority of it is us talking about our love of the show and everything it means to us. It's truly hard to describe how much this show means to me and I am beyond happy to finally get a chance to talk all about it.

Joining me to break down this surprisingly polarizng entry in the series are Veech from the YouTube channel Bite Size Pixel and Mike Laine from the podcast Unlocking What Was Cool. • I, your loyal host Josh, started Still Loading nearly 10 years ago and I honestly had no idea where it would take me. Apparently it has taken me at least up to episode 300 and soon it will be the 10th anniversary of the show! But let's focus on this episode right here, this is episode 300. I figured the best way to celebrate 300 episodes of the podcast was to do something I've become known for over the past few years, and that is video game fantasy drafts. • Following up a groundbreaking title such as Myst is a hard thing to do. Cyan had their work cut out for them, expectations were high. In 1997 they released Riven: The Sequel to Myst where it was met with much critical acclaim. Joining me to discuss how this game holds up now is Try from My Life in Gaming. Try is a huge fan of this game and I had a great time talking about it with him. We break down what we think works still, how the story holds up, the live action cutscenes and much more. • Myst was game released in1993 from a small studio called Cyan. Despite releasing a few successful games prior, nothing could prepare them for the sucess they found in releasing Myst. It was a landmark title that is considered to be the catalyst for popularizing CD ROM drives on PCs. The game was huge and has influenced many games since, but how does it feel today over 30 years later?
