We have gotten an overwhelming amount of requests for more of a deep dive on us so we thought it was a good idea to start with a background/timeline of our relationship. We met in 2008 and have had lots of transition periods, especially in the first 9 years. Let us know if we talked about anything specific in here you'd like to know more about :)

The big question that everyone wants to know these days and most won't ask (which is honestly appreciated): when are you having kids? It's a difficult topic to talk about so openly and publicly so we appreciate anyone listening going into this with an open mind and recognizing how personal of a conversation this is.

We often get asked why we travel alone/without one another (sometimes with a sense of judgement and sometimes with a sense of curiosity). We both have a history of traveling solo in very different ways which we cover in this episode, as well as why it's been beneficial for us individually and as a couple. Additionally Kelsey gives some advice at the end for those wanting to explore adventure solo travel!

In this episode of SLTOL we recap a fun recent trip to Las Vegas and then get into our main topic of the episode: mental health. We start by discussing our individual histories of our struggles with anxiety and depression. Then we get into our coping strategies and "tips/tricks". We note and would like to reiterate that these are things that work for us, and may not for everyone.

In this episode we spend the first ~20 minutes with a check in and thorough recap of our recent scouting trip to France (as well as a few other life things). Then we get into the topic, which came highly requested from you all, to talk about how we manage our relationship on top of busy careers and schedules.

Welcome to Streaming Life through our Lens! We are Jake and Kelsey Straus: high school sweethearts, entrepreneurs, adventurers. and millennial DINKS (with pets) here to chat about relationships, business, travel, and lots more.
Jake is a Twitch streamer known as GernaderJake with over half a million followers. Kelsey is a wedding photographer under the business name, Kelsey Straus Photography. This first episode is a brief introduction to who we both are, with a focus on the beginnings of our businesses and an update on where we are now.
