Like the Bundesliga, we also took a winter break (although our diets would never get the blessing of club nutritionists) and are ready to go for the 2nd half of the season.
At this half way point we discuss Top 4 party-crashers Hoffenheim and ask how they got there and how they went under the radar for so long?
With the German transfer window re-open for the month of January, we discuss whether Covid has killed big transfers or will anyone go on a shopping spree?
We also reminisce our favourite German transfers of all time with some surprises and poetic license on my part.
Finally, we cast our eyes further down the table at table to spot Wolfsburg and Stuttgart in danger and ask are they both "too good to go down" and how are they down there?
It's good to back. Thanks for your support last year and wishing you a great 2022 year of the tiger!

It’s all kicking off - fake vaccination certificates, managers storming out of press conferences, German football’s poster boy not being able to kick a ball in a competitive match for a month - German Football and Covid-19 are tangled in a web that just won't go away.
A very delicate topic but one that is dominating German football and society as a whole and therefore one we just couldn’t ignore.
We look at how the latest "4th Wave" of Covid infections in Germany has effected Bayern Munich as a number of players have been quarantined and missed fixtures and what impact this might have on their season.
Also with Bayern Munich taking a tough stance on unvaccinated players and their pay during quarantine we discuss the potential impact on long term futures and happiness of players in their squad.
With high cases of hospitalisation naturally comes safety concerns and reduce attendances in the stadiums - we ask is it far for certain teams to be allowed to play with bigger crowds while some teams can't have any fans cheering them?
The crazy ex-girlfriend that is Borussia Dortmund, she thrills and kills in equal measures, have suffered a mini-slump but is this a blip or has new coach Marco Rose not been the upgrade he was heralded as?
Then everyone's favourite 2nd team (or 3rd after Freiburg), Union Berlin finally arrive on the radar in 5th place in the Bundesliga, but where will they land at the end of the season and will European competition take it's toll on them?
See, it's not all Corona.

Miracles Do Happen. After such an incredible event I asked Marcel and Qais to share some of their favourite German Football "Miracles", some suprising, some not and involving the dreaded VAR but all enlightening, funny and weird.
We also perform a post-mortem on Gladbach's massacre of Bayern and ask how it happened.
We now look at who could win the DFB Pokal now Bayern Munich are out.
Mystic Marcel gets the credit his prediction deserves of Wolfsburg (former) coach Mark van Bommel being the 1st managerial casualty of the Bundesliga 2021/2022. But we ask is it too early to make a change and will his successor Florian Kohfeldt do any better?

After the resounding success of our 1st Episode - thanks mainly to friends, family and some Americans from Virginia - we decided to crack on and record Episode 2.
In this Episode we try to find analogies between Star Wars and Bundesliga players and trainers, as you do, as well as analysing the embryonic Bundesliga season of 2021/2022 such as who has surprised us so far from the first 2 gameweeks.
With the German transfer window closing soon we look at who enjoyed their summer shopping spree the most.
The Champions League groups have been announced so we assess the chances of progression now we know the calibre of their opponents.
We also discuss our predictions over who will end up top individual prizes such as the prestigious Torkanone for Top Scorer and Weisse Weste for Most Clean Sheets for a Goalkeeper.
And to finish we look at what we might expect from a new era of Die Mannschaft under new German Football Trainer Hansi Flick as he goes into his first games against Liechtenstein and Armenia. Goals and lots of them hopefully.

That Fussball Podcast Kickoffs with our very 1st episode just in time for the Bundesliga Season 2021/22 to start.
Therefore, before we invest our time in this Podcast malarkey, we ask ourselves: If Bayern win this for the 10th time running, why should anyone care about the Bundesliga?
We also look at how German teams will fare in Europe and whether Max Kruse can be bothered to play in the new Euro budget competition - the ECL, whilst reminding ourselves who got promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga and whether it will be a brief stay for them at this level.
There's also talk of Schalke as how otherwise can we entertain ourselves without mentioning them.
