I'm sharing something a relationship coach shared with me that really shook me up and convinced me to step up in my relationship and quit committing to the story I was powerless to do anything about my anxiety. It may be hard for some of you to hear, but for some it may be empowering. Love is not always pleasant and nurturing-sounding. That said, there is no advice that is one-size-fits-all, so take what you need and discard what you don't.

An underrated skill in the path of overcoming relationship anxiety: reclaiming softness, befriending anxiety, and learning to trust and follow glimmers of joy.
