Brentford put the disappointing defeat against Manchester United behind them and look forward to the first visit of Ipswich Town to Brentfordâs new stadium. Ipswich v Ipswich was a regular occurrence in The Championship with Brentford eventually taking the lift up and out of the Championship to the Premier League whereas Ipswich took another lift to the basement, finding themselves in Division 1
But successive promotions have seen the two side buck heads again with a stubborn Ipswich side failing to lie down, determined to prove all the detractors wrong about their predicted first season relegation
Billy TheBee Grant and Dave Laney Lane hooked up in the virtual joint after a horrendous day spent mainly on non-running Avivia trains up to and back from Manchester

Thomas Frank rebuking the rumours that he is off to pastures new
A minuteâs applause for 14 year old Holly West who sadly recently lost her lift to Cancer

Brentford kept their unbeaten home record going in a well contested London derby but suffered another injury in the draw with West Ham.
Bryan Mbeumo scored another stunning early strike to give the Bees a first minute lead, but then they he home team hung on at stages and an equaliser looked on the cards.
Two late penalty appeals were waved away as Brentfords tried to win the game late on ⊠but the sight of Kevin Schade limping off raised concerns about how we can cope with yet another important injury.

Brentford look to shake off another tough away defeat by welcoming a wobbly West Ham United team to The Gtech this Saturday. The Hammers have lost on all three Premier League visits to Brentford and Thomas Frank and the team will be hoping that run continues.
We look back at last weekends visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and discuss Bryan Mbeumo's worldie first-minute volley, then pick over the bones of where it went wrong afterwards, as well as THAT handball outside the area by the Spurs goalie.

Brentford came away from Tottenham empty handed despite taking the lead thanks to a stunning Bryan Mbeumo volley. Mistakes, missed chances and missing players then combined to the defeat. We contributed in spells and made Spurs work for the win that included goals from pantomime villains Brennan Johnson and James Madisson.

Brentfordâs sequence of tough away fixtures at the start of the season continues this weekend with a trip to the Tottenham Stadium⊠The Bees will be looking to build upon last weekâs positive performance at The Etihad and the midweek win over Leyton Orient. Spurs, on the other hand, seem to be under a bit of pressure, however, they still go into the game as favourites, especially with Wissa sidelined for a couple of months and Thomas Frank having to, once again, shuffle the pack up top.
Dave âLaneyâ Lane is joined by Ali âDoolallyâ Mullally and Tom âThe Fiddlerâ Fiddler in the Virtual Joint for this weekâs Beesotted Pride of West London Podcast, where we cast our minds back to the Manchester City match, events under the lights against Leyton Orient and the trip to North London on Saturday⊠we ask whether Kevin Schade can make the step up and stake his claim for the number nine shirt now he has the opportunity, if Thomas Frank is being primed to be the next Manchester City boss⊠what Brentfordâs line-up would be if everyone was fit⊠we have stats and tactical analysis from Jacob Gobbler at @beesbreakdown, facts and funk from the one and only Jonathan 'JB' Burchill and Ricky Sacks from The Last Word On Spurs, who shares his knowledge on all thatâs happening in N17.
