On the last episode of season 1, Eman invites Parent and Positive Discipline Coach, Maddalen Milani to take us through where it all starts: The child’s brain. When we understand how the child’s brain develops we can understand then why tantrums and big emotions happen and how to regulate those emotions. Part of positive or empowering parenting really focuses on the parent whereas , in order to learn how to regulate a child’s emotions, the parent must first learn how to regulate and process their own emotions, triggers and past experiences that seem to come up when trying to parent their child.

Eman invites Gut Health Nutritionist, Sarah Tarek, to talk about PMS (also known as, Premenstrual Syndrome) which happens during one of the four phases of the menstrual cycle that women go through. During this phase, most women suffer from uncomfortable symptoms such as anxiety, cravings, depression and hyper-hydration. Sarah breaks down the four types of PMS, what causes them, as well as what changes in diet and lifestyle that can reverse many of these uncomfortable symptoms. The episode also covers the important hormones that impact the menstrual cycle and why gut health is directly linked to how balanced these hormones are.

Eman invites psychotherapist and addiction counsel , Farida ElGhandour, to talk about the most common mental health concern, anxiety. Why does it happen, how it happens and what can we do to manage it? Many of us struggle with anxiety and unfortunately we are often received with comments like, "get over it, snap out of it, just be positive, just calm down" but there are very scientific reasons why this is not possible. Eman and Farida talk about all that in the hopes that people will have a kinger approach with regards to how they deal with anxiety.

Eman invites Islam Adel to get his perspective on why most men find it difficult to ask for help when it comes to their mental health and how social norms that have been engraved in our traditions for years may have a role to play in that. Islam co-hosts his own podcast, The Potcast Show and has invited many guests who have spoken about this topic and having gone himself through his own journey with his mental health, he was happy to share insights from his own personal experience.
