During that time she has lived and worked in the USA, Asia, Europe and the UK working for various not-for-profit organisations across sectors including medical research, humanitarian aid, social welfare and environmental campaigning and movement building.
She has specialised in climate philanthropy for the past 10 years, spending over 8 years leading fundraising success globally at Greenpeace. Activating philanthropic support from the US and Europe to fund front-line environmental campaigns in the Global South.In her current role at World Animal Protection, she is working to raise awareness of how improving animal welfare in factory farming and the tourism industry can help us tackle some of the biggest issues we are facing in the world right now. Such as climate change and biodiversity loss.

Kathleen has juggled work commitments, home schooling and more during lockdown, but still she has written two award nominated novels – Wife Support System and Second Wife Syndrome. Her debut novel, Wife Support System, was nominated for the Romantic Novelists’ Association Joan Hessayon Award.
Kathleen says it appeals to those mums out there who, after months of home-schooling, working and more, are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or just in need a stiff drink.
