Helloo and welcome back to the Kpop Wind Down! We just turned two and our last episode before this one was.. right after we turned one.. so needless to say, it's been an interesting year. A lot of things happened and we will talk about them in this new episode. Our new format is different. You will basically hear us talk and talk for an hour about everything and anything. We talk about girl groups, SM vs HYBE, Barkie (she is barking a lot, beware), missing old school kpop, meeting in person, and more! Enjoy and follow us on twitter @kpopwinddown.

We are back after a few months of "adulting." And we are listening to one of South Korea's biggest artists: IU. She is someone who has consistently retained her dominance on music charts in SK and continues to evolve as an artist in both her singing and her lyricism. We dive into some of her most famous songs, and some controversial tracks as well. We also get a little bit emotional as we discuss her friendship with the incredible Sulli and Jonghyun. Listen to us as we talk about everything and anything, as always, from internet safety to people who become famous when they are too young to cereal!

We also talk about how this podcast came to be, what we are grateful for, our favorite KWW moments, and more. Come listen to some very chill (and some SUPER sexy) songs with us. Once again, we want to warn you, there's a lot of laughing and loudness!

We are back (back back back)! After a long time, we are finally back and just in time for the new year and our anniversary (which is soon!). This episode features our lovely Mira (former co-host) and we are talking about a full mini album, instead of different songs from different albums. We are focusing on Key's BAD LOVE, one of our favorite albums of 2021 (Mira's favorite, actually). We talk about his musicality, how he conceptualized this album years ago, how we believe this whole album was KEY. We also spend a while talking about what we would like to tell our 18-year-old selves. We want to let you know before you listen that we do touch on some sensitive topics such as eating disorders, panic attacks and family abuse. Please, beware. We missed you!

Welcome to a new and special episode of the Kpop Wind Down! Today we have a special guest with us to talk about one of our favorite girl groups (and one of the best Kpop groups of all time). Shelby Chargin (@ohhayshelby) joins us for a fun and long episode. She is the founder of Girls Behind the Rock Show, a non-profit that seeks to advance women and gender diverse people in the music industry through education and shadowing opportunities. We talk about the music industry, behind the scenes, fandoms, twitter discourse, and of course, Red Velvet and their incredible vocals and musicality. As always, there will be a lot of laughter and loudness, so beware!

Today we are chilling to some Krnb, again! We are listening to some songs by one of the best artists in the Krnb scene (if not the best, according to us). Dean is not only a great singer and performer, but he also writes and produces all of his own songs and other people's. Before breaking out on his own single a few years ago, he was out penning (amazing) songs for K-Pop groups (including some of our faves!). Dean has had a presence in both the Korean and US markets, with several US-centric collaborations (and we have one of them in this episode). A king of collabs: we talk about how every song he touches turns to gold and into a hit. Join us for some Deanfluenza praise (and Edyn asking every few minutes for a new album because he only, somehow, has ONE!).

We are back!!! Welcome to our latest episode, the princess of Kpop, BoA. We start our second season with Mira joining us as a guest host this time. We talk about how BoA, for many of us, was the bridge from anime to Kpop at one point. We go through some of our favorite BoA songs, talk about her discography and sound, her impact in the music and Kpop industry, and what makes her the Best Of Asia. Also, FYI, we laugh A LOT, so it might get a little too loud!

Welcome to the (first) NCT episode. One of Edyn's ult groups and Ni's special group. This is a little throwback to our first episodes because it's just us two (we missed you Mira!). So, come with us as we listen and "relax" (you know we are never really relaxing though...) to some chill NCT songs from all the subunits: NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, and NCT U. We talk about our favorite units, members, songs and why we love them so much. Also, if you are a "separatist", then this is not the episode for you (and Edyn will tell you why). FYI, our mascot Barkie will make a bunch of guest appearances throughout the episode...

Today we are chillin’ to songs from one of kpop’s biggest stars. We go down memory lane to the beginnings of SHINee’s maknae and how everything, from his vocals to his music style, has changed and matured over the years. We talked about what makes Taemin the superstar he is and what makes him stand out from other male soloists in the industry. Also, get ready for a few impromptu karaoke sessions, some “controversial“ opinions on title tracks, and our take on a questionable article about Taemin’s R&B song “ACE”.

Welcome to a very special episode! We sat down with rapper and songwriter Geoffrodamus, the one behind Mark Lee's ICONIC verse in Jopping. You'll find out how the iconic song came to life, what's the "real" meaning behind the word "Jopping", what other Kpop projects he is working on and what Kpop artists he would love to work with. We also got to listen to some of his own songs as he walked us through the process of coming up with the lyrics and meaning behind them. You want to know how he came up with his stage name? You’ll find out! We hope you enjoy it and make sure to follow @geoffrodamus on social media.

Get ready for a really fun, funny, and steamy(?) episode! As Edyn says, we are listening to the kinkiest group in Kpop. Join us as Edyn shows us some really really really sexy songs and talk about what makes VIXX the kings of concepts (and being kinky). Warning, a lot of sexy (and random) talk ahead!!

This is our special episode about a special person: Kim Jong-hyun. Happy Birthday to one of the greatest songwriters and artists of all time. This is our longest episode so far, and probably the most emotional. We talk about his career, poetry, distinct musicality, artistry, and sentimentality. We also touch on some pretty sensitive topics, so please know that before you hit play. We thank you Kim Jong-hyun for all of your contributions to the Kpop industry. Happy 31 Birthday. We love you.

It’s time for some Krnb! Edyn curated a playlist to get Ni and our new co-host, Mira, into their favorite Korean R&B artist. Come chill with us as we listen to some soothing, relaxing, sensual and beautiful vocals. And maybe if you hadn’t heard of Hoody before, now you’ll go take a listen.

SHINee is back! In this episode, we go a little in-depth on why and how SHINee stands the test of time. We talk about their uniqueness, their distinct sound, and their versatility. We also share how we fell in love with the group and what is it that makes us enjoy their songs so much.
-
Novas rejoice! In this episode, we talk about Kpop supergroup SuperM aka the Avengers of Kpop. We dive a little into the individual members and their original groups. We also get a little controversial on the topic of SuperM hate, and very emotional as we talk about why we love them so much. Technically this podcast wouldn't have happened without them.
-
Come vibe with us to some - not as chill - songs from SM's girl group f(x) aka Edyn's ult group. Edyn chose six songs, to introduce Ni to the experimental world that is f(x).

Part 1 of us vibing to our favorite songs from our ult group: EXO. We chose six songs that will get you in the mood to relax and chill.
