Catastrophising is when we go from a simple 'oh no' in our circumstances, to an 'end of the world' type thought process in our minds.
Thinking the worst, or moving from a small frustration to expecting the absolute worst, is a learned thinking habit which is often subconscious. But it's not what God wants us to be doing with our mind - we were created to think on what is honourable, true and praiseworthy (Phil. 4)!
