  • On this week’s episode of the Over 50 Entrepreneur Podcast, we speak with James Roberts, CEO of Right Now Roofing. Often, when we think about entrepreneurs, we think about technology, social media, disruption, and other areas that tend to be more glorified in the business world. But, the truth is, there are many entrepreneurs who’ve created successful businesses in industries that are less than glamorous but are still driven and passionate about what they do, have a great time doing it, and make a ton of money. James is one such entrepreneur, and I was so excited to have him share his journey with us.

“There are different types of job knowledge that you need to be an entrepreneur. For instance, I know I know how to install a roof and how to sell a roof, but what I didn't understand was the completely different job description of owning a company where you have employees, you have subcontractors, you have taxes, you have office staff, weekly payroll, and all these other things that have nothing to do with contracting a roof or installing roof. It's a completely different skill set and I had to OJT that rapidly,” says James.
