Find out my answer to listener Hillary’s question about when to use liquid polymer clay and when to use acrylic paint. In my research I learned a new use for liquid polymer clay that I had never heard of. If there is a topic you would like me to cover in a future episode, send me an email at [email protected]

In today’s episode I’m discussing my latest project - creating my own silkscreen stencil! I used my cricut to cut out a design from removable vinyl, stuck it to this silkscreen mesh, and then used it to create some beautiful polymer clay pieces. You can see other pieces made with silkscreen stencils in my latest collection on www.HoldenANote.com.

Today I’m talking about two clay bodies with different shimmer particles. Can you guess which one I’m going to prefer? I also have an update on the opal clay I tried a few episodes ago. Finally I talk about a different technique for finishing the edges of pieces that I think has a lot of use for particular situations.

Today I’m talking about a deburring tool for resin work as well as using hollow charms with polymer clay. The tip to try a deburring tool came from Amy - be sure to give Amy a follow on her Instagram and check out her Etsy shop as well. She has some beautiful resin pieces.
Here’s the link to the deburring tool as well as the two charm packs (hexagons and mixed shapes) that I reference in today’s episode.

In this episode I’m reviewing Sculpey Premo Turquoise Granite Polymer Clay. It has flecks and variations that mimic real turquoise without the weight of the stone. I’m also talking about a new technique I tried out to add dimension to polymer clay pieces.
Here are the links to the turquoise granite polymer clay and the shape cutters that I talk about in this episode. The acrylic paint I used was a mixture of Plaza Studio Series, Liquitex Basics, and Artist’s Loft brand acrylic paints.
