Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we meet Travis and he will walk with us on a multiple episode journey towards wholeness. This episode is the invitation.
Feeling Lost and Finding Hope
Forty-eight hours ago, Travis found himself in an emotional abyss. Lying in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, He found himself confronting dark thoughts and an unsettling reality. The thought of never having another drink seemed unbearable, and he didn't know how to live without alcohol. At the same time, he was haunted by the certainty that if he took another drink, He'd be risking the loss of his family. This internal tug-of-war left him contemplating a life that felt increasingly suffocating.
The Turning Point
But today is different. "Here I sit, feeling a mix of relief and newfound strength, much like receiving a miraculous call from a hospital saying family members feared lost in an accident were actually safe."
Seeing Dr. Ryan's face anew reminded me that there's an answer—a path back to feeling free and starting anew. It reinforced the calming energy that I'd forgotten.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in and visit Kaya. Kaya has been devoted to her healing her entire life and specifically integrating with psychedelics for the last 5 years.
Rediscovering Inner Resonance
In our journey through life, we often encounter moments that challenge our sense of belonging within a community. This is an invitation to dive deep within ourselves, to ask, "What am I seeing? What am I feeling?" It's a courageous inquiry, especially when those feelings don't align with the dominant atmosphere around us. But remember, it's perfectly okay if it doesn't feel good to you while everyone else seems at peace. This realization is pure magic—a resonating consent with oneself.
The Full Body YesThere's power in listening to your body, to feel that full-body 'yes.' As Kaya reflects on her journey over the past five years, She shares the privilege to walk with individuals who have taught her the importance of this inner alignment. Recognizing what resonates required an inward journey—an inward exploration that demanded narrowing her circle and seeking guidance from just a few trusted souls.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we dive in with Amy.
Embracing 'The Now Path'
The "Now Path" is a journey filled with compassion, particularly compassion for oneself. In the past, I may have reserved my compassion solely for others, but the 'now' demands self-compassion. It means accepting our past lessons, celebrating our growth, and not being defined by past injustices or regrets. The present moment is where our power lies, where we have the most control—control that can manifest in healthy ways, like managing what we consume or ensuring we don't overexert ourselves.
Choosing Gentleness and Perspective
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's crucial to consciously choose gentleness and pause. Taking a moment, a simple breath, can transform our reactions and open us to new perspectives. We have the power to choose how we perceive events and how they affect us, even when our nervous system seems to resist. By acknowledging the various perspectives available to us, we reclaim our power.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in with Guy. A passionate spirit who tells his story of overcoming addiction and finding happiness. Sharing that with the psychedelic experiences he now is touching emotions he has never felt.
A Reflection on Family and Empathy
In the journey towards healing and sobriety, one often revisits the past, shedding light on relationships and the depths of personal experiences. For Guy, reflecting on his relationship with his father was a profound step in this journey. Coming from a challenging background, his father had always been a figure of resilience, surviving a difficult, alcohol-ridden upbringing. Understanding his struggles has deepened Guy's empathy not just for him, but for himself and others as well.
Sometimes, external forces prompt us to change direction—much like how a turtle may need a nudge to divert its lifelong path. This metaphor resonates, symbolizing those unexpected influences that alter our trajectory for the better. The Role of Psychedelics in Healing
The debate around the use of psychedelics in treatment often involves preconceived notions. I believe that with respect and careful consideration, psychedelics can play a beneficial role in sobriety. Contrary to substances with addictive qualities, I find that psychedelics like mushrooms do not foster dependency. They offer a transformative experience, shifting mindsets and providing unique benefits without the pull of habit formation.
Choosing to engage with psychedelics comes with responsibility. For me , it’s crucial to have a clear intention, seeking growth rather than escapism. This approach ensures that the experience is enriching and purposeful.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in with David. Getting a beautiful chance to reflect and rediscover his healing path.
When the time comes to embark on another session, it's important to recognize that this is not his first journey. With each session, he's become increasingly attuned to his body and its signals. These experiences open up numerous pathways for self-recalibration and addressing deeply rooted issues. Each session becomes an opportunity to focus on specific traumas from his past and navigate through them. The Call for Growth
David shares- " I've observed that as I process these experiences in manageable, bite-sized chunks, I gain confidence and comfort with this new existence I've crafted for myself. Eventually, I reach a point where my body calls for something bigger—an invitation to delve deeper. This continuous introspection brings forth questions: Am I still searching for something? Is there an unresolved feeling or situation within me?"If you are in need of guidance or integration support please visit healingsoulsllc.com

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in with Amy. A light of devotion to oneself.
Amy is coming in very grounded and excited. She describes her state as a combination of feeling rooted and joyful, without being swept away. We're embarking on something new today - a candid discussion about the reality of psychedelics and their integration into her life. The Draw to Psychedelic Therapy - "For me, medications weren't the solution. I wasn’t healing; I was stuck. I was merely existing, not living. Then, my life took a drastic turn when I discovered psychedelics. This is where medication and true healing began to diverge for me. I credit the psychedelics—what I refer to as 'medicines'—for providing me with a fresh perspective. For clarity, 'medicines' is what I call psychedelics, whereas 'medications' is what I call the pills."
"I was living with complex PTSD, fighting through decades of therapy and various medications like Lexapro and Xanax. But then, a wonderful therapist recommended 'The Body Keeps the Score,' guiding me towards a transformative journey with psychedelic therapy. I found my incredible guide and made a significant change." -
- Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in with Thomas. Magic in the authentic self. When frustrations creep in, I start to lose the magic in everyday moments. It's a gentle reminder to be kinder to myself and those around me. Finding balance and staying true to who I am is an ongoing journey.
Emotions can be complicated. They don't always align with who we are or what we want to feel. In those moments when we're less gentle with ourselves and those around us, we lose our grace. It's in these little things that I sense myself falling out of sync, not operating on the frequency I desire.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist, this week I am humbled and grateful to connect with John.
In the past several years, John has been on an incredible journey of transformation and healing. This journey has not only been about coming to terms with himself but also about addressing deep-seated family trauma and understanding life's broader complexities.
Embracing the Journey
John began this path by focusing inward, nurturing a vital connection with himself. This self-exploration was the foundation of his broader healing process. Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we drop in with Terrence.
In our fast-paced, ever-evolving world, taking a moment to breathe, let go, and surrender to possibilities is a luxury many crave but few attain. This week's guest on The Psychedelic Psychologist is Terrence, a person whose life journey is deeply intertwined with psychedelic experiences and mindfulness. Together, Terrence and Ryan explore the concepts of letting go and surrendering, not just in the context of psychedelics but as universal life practices.
The Art of Letting Go
Ryan opens the conversation by inviting listeners to breathe and surrender. It's a practice not just of taking in the breath but also of letting it go, symbolizing the ebb and flow of life itself. This meditative approach sets the tone for a deeper exploration of the balance between holding on and surrendering: "What are we looking to hold on to? And what are we capable of surrendering?"
