  • Continuing to clarify the importance of Fairy Tales, we explore the genealogy of Fairy Tales. Does the origin matter? We discover disputes in the discourse of researchers. As we explore we can reel it back in and recognise that Fairy Tales are deeply profound acts of genius. And whether they are old, ancient, re-written, orally re-counted, Christianised or bastardisedā€¦ or both(!), they are collections of symbols. The symbolic collections require the knowledge and intuition of the people to understand and decode them. Then, we get to understand and preserve the importance of the messages therein. We get to appreciate the heart, soul, values and efforts of the authors of these tales. They knew the power of the fairy tale and they were driven to encode universal truths into them. They strived to create such powerful art so the story and symbolism would remain eternal just like the laws that are encoded in them.

  • Fairy Tales are the "greatest and most natural art" because they put forth the Truth of things that are difficult to understand related to humanity. They tell us the truth of who we are and our origins. They teach us our spiritual powers. This is why they are most important for children. These truths flourish when absorbed in the right way, at the right time. Children need fairy tales as affirmation of their connectedness to Universal Consciousness and Natural Law, as we all are.

  • The fairy tale bubbles up from the unconscious depths of the human soul representing the spiritual battles we live throughout our lives as part of our purpose. These tales are so deep and profound that we identify with them in the way we identify with the taste of food, not really understanding the nutritional aspects at the deepest level. The laws of nature must be deep down somewhere. Do the fairy tales allegorise Natural Law? Or is Gino showing hubris by making some lazy intellectual connects. We dive deeper by reading Rudolf Steiner's lecture on Fairy Tales related to spirituality. One thing is certain: Fairy Tales are food for the soul and must be revived.

  • "The Wolf and The Seven Young Kids" teaches children to be creative, take action, create and do projects that are of service to greater things, to others, to the planet. Do this while living a balanced life, with patience, compromise, selfless love and you will succeed. How does the story teach this to children? The story does this through symbol, through allegory. The reader transfers the idea to the child through an interest and understanding of the allegory in fairy tales.

  • The TV robs children of opportunity to connect with others and build patience. Patience is required to be charitable. Charity is allied with love and knowledge. Love and knowledge are heart based as discovered in previous instalments of this series. TV damages our heart and in turn damages our patience, charity, love and knowledge.

  • Can we fathom what kind of a world we would live in if we were perfectly raised? Is the thought of this even possible? What is the perfect upbringing? Can we get close to it at least? If we took away the trauma, abandonment, vaccines, chemicals, indoctrination, television, police, military and government? Would you be able to visualise how things would be without these parts of life? A return to nature does away with these things, simply because they are not a part of nature. The television could be a great place to start, we could remove some of our time and attention spent on it, and replace it with time spent naturally. What natural thing could you and your family do with that time? Me? Well I'm on the computer right now instead. Am I a hypocrite or am I "taking one for the team" by extending my tech-time? I'm honest and a return to nature is something I need to work at too.

  • The first broadcast of all things television and it's effects on the young minds of the world. We look at an institutional view and a spiritual view, with both sides spitting facts. Can we decide whether or not to throw the T.V. and technology out? How necessary is it and for which age group? Do we just need "conscious programming" for the little ones? We are going to discover that the T.V. may be even more worrisome for the heart, rather than the mind. Or is it a problem for both? There is a lot to discover and unpack. Make a start here, switch on and stay tuned!

  • Self-defence requires self-esteem. Self-esteem comes from kindness. The King's daughter, held captive by old man Rinkrank, was forced to care for him as a cook and housemaid. The only was out was to fight in an act of self-defence. How did her self-esteem build in such a horrid situation. She was captured for years! Her acts of kindness must have been reminding her of her good nature, and highlighting the wrong-doing of the recipient of such kindness. This all built up until she couldn't take it anymore. There are situations in life where we must stick up for ourselves. We must encourage kindness in the children and support them and encourage them to stand up for themselves.

  • What do you want your existence to be known for? This question can be explored as a learning activity for children and families. It provides many benefits that promote the growth and functioning of the highest order of thought processes. Engaging in the right activities with children is spiritual practice with benefits of synchronicities and serendipities. This particular activity opens up the symbolism of the ostrich and the number 33! The adult who gets involved with kids in the right way gets to explore numerology and animal spirit guides and develop their intuition and the gifts that God provides to use it.

  • Waldemar Bonsels wanted to teach children to: respect all living beings; be courageous; be adventurous; be open-minded; acknowledge life and death and think positively. As the author of "The Adventures of Maya The Bee", he managed to convey these teachings through the journey of the little bee, Maya. For someone who, paradoxically, got swept up in the antisemitic fervour of Nazi Germany, Waldemar Bonsells was a "Neo-Romantic Natural Mystic" who did a pretty good job of creating the greatest children's fairy tale of the 19th century.

  • "The Hare and The Hedgehog" is another deadly fable from the collection of The Brothers Grimm. The deeper experience in this story has the hare symbolising unexpected events or situations causing change. The hedgehog symbolises self-trust, self-honour and taking action on your gut feeling. The hedgehog defended his honour in a creative way that worked and ended his bothersome encounter with the hare. The message, boiled down to first principles, is that you should take action and trust yourself when you are faced with happenings outside of your control.

  • "The Owl" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale that drips with owl symbolism. A tragic story for the owl and yet another story victimised by cancel culture to prevent violence and cruelty in children. The story really symbolises the importance of "alone time" and contemplation. It sends a message that we should be patient and search deeply to make a difficult decision that will benefit everyone involved. It's about decision making in a fiery time! Can you pick up on these dynamics when you listen to the story? Did you know these symbolic meanings of the owl are the same in the American-Indian and shamanic cultures? Manly P. Hall said that if a culture did not have fairy tales, that culture would have integrated animal symbolism through other means, such as mask-wearing rituals.
