Hey friends,
This season I am so excited to put a voice to Alcohol abuse awareness. I will be spotlighting a different guest weekly and their journey as it relates to sobriety. I will even be sharing stories of family members of addicts and how they have been impacted. It is my goal that each person who listens is moved to look within and identify any bad habits they may be holding them back from living the life that they deserve.
xoxoxo,
KG

I have zero control over the choices my children will grow up and make. However, I do have an impact. I realized that how I was drinking was not only unhealthy for me, but it was setting a very unhealthy standard for them. It is up to us to change the way alcohol is viewed and it starts by talking about it.

Everyone of us can identify three areas in our life where we can increase our good habits, and 3 areas to decrease our negative habits. What are yours? Let's also take a minute to talk about rock bottom. I like to call it your line in the sand moment. Did you know it doesn't have to be some large life threatening event. It can just be a small whisper from God that something needs to change. What will you choose to change with me?

I used to think curiosity killed the cat, but the older I got I realized it killed character. You will never have to tell your side of the story if you don't involve yourself in things that are not feeding the positive version of you to begin with. Learn from my mistakes, and focus on the future you!
-
Do you have trust issues? I challenge you to identify where those feelings first came from. by unpacking my trauma after getting sober, I have been able to identify where a lack of trust lead me to overextending trust to anyone and everyone. Which you guessed it, lead to even more trust issues.
When you lack boundaries and trust everyone and anyone, you can not blame anyone but yourself when you keep getting hurt. We subject ourselves to most of our own problems and don't even know it.
Take a listen with me, but only if you are ready to call yourself out on your own BS.
-
What word will you be leaving in 2021? Mine is resentment. Come hangout and hear how I plan to leave resentment in 2021 by taking forgiveness, boundaries, and self expectations into 2022!

In life it is critical to surround yourself with other women who help you level up. So many people look for someone to push them or tell them what to do. I stopped doing that. I looked for someone whose energy and vibe pulled me into the next version of myself. Someone who made it through a hard time and didn't run from a hard time.
Meet my friend KK. Katie has been through hell and back, but one thing is for sure..... she will show you how she did it. She didn't take the easy way out. And that my friends is inspiring AF.

The last seven months have been some of the best and hardest months of my life. Hi, I am Kourtney and I am an addict. I also am married to one. Here is our story.
-
It is in evitable we will all fall down in life. It is impossible for someone like me to stay down. Reflecting over the last six years… I have never been more at peace with my journey as I am today.
-
Have you ever wondered whether you are making decisions out of fear or faith? Perhaps you are not supposed to make one at all. We may not be where we want to be, but what if we are right where we should be?
-
Think of something you need to work on. How long have you been putting it off? What obstacles have you been anticipating and using as your excuse for not starting now? Guys… So many of you are in your own way and are the reasons why you have not become your best self. Put the excuses to the side. They will always be there. Put your fears to the side. They will always be there. Take action and start!
-
Do you ever feel like life is handing you a shit ton of lemons? Same girl same. Here’s what I know… This too shall pass, and I’m actually in control more than I think during those seasons. I hope this gives you a little encouragement to keep putting 1 foot in front of the other on some days and to be still on others. You might not be OK today, but you will be.
-
For way too long… I based my self-confidence off of the approval of others. Needless to say, it left me chasing a high five or a good job that I was never going to get. My self-confidence was at an all time low… And only I could fix that. I learned over the years to look for guidance instead of approval. My self-confidence has soared, and my approval addiction has been eliminated.

I hope you know what is worth fighting for, what is worth folding for, and that nothing is worth being stuck.
