Karli is pioneering europe's first menstrual blood blank. There is virtually no research done on menstrual blood and that’s a problem! It could unlock so many secrets about women's health, potentially lead to earlier diagnosis of endometriosis and certain cancers as well as potentially removing the need for a smear test. This is a fascinating area of research and I'm personally so excited to watch Karli’s work and research unfold over the next few years and beyond.

Bridget is a Health Economics Policy Advisor, she analyzes the inherent relationship between health and wealth; how healthy populations foster both economic growth and sustainable economies.

Specifically at the moment she is working on creating a numerical ROI for the investment on female health. “ We know for every £1 spent on preventive health care it saves the economy £14 but we don’t know what the ROI is for women’s specific health care”

Personally I’m so excited about Bridget's work because whilst we shouldn’t be reducing women’s health to a smart financial decision, getting this number from her work will definitely be instrumental in women’s health care, workplace support and research improving and that’s what we need!

My coaching methods are built around the unique abilities and goals of each one of my clients, as I believe the coaching process and programming within that should be enjoyable and specific to the individual. I love what I do and I wouldn't change it for the world.

“I started getting into the gym in my late teens and fell in love with it very quickly. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was determined to learn, and headed off to Loughborough University to study a Sports Science BSc, followed by a Nutrition MSc.

During those 4 years, I began competing in PCA Bikini Bodybuilding - something which ticked a box for me, but also taught me more about what I value as a person, and now a coach (sustainability, enjoyment, balance and results that don’t require you to be below 10% body fat).

I began coaching 5 years ago, with the aim to teach women how to do fitness in the right way. No BS myths, no excessive dieting, no overtraining and certainly no detoxes - simply, science, done right."

As a professionally trained dancer and competitive gymnast, Sophie understands the importance of movement for both physical and mental well-being. After working extensively at a women’s only gym in Earlsfield, leading their postnatal return to fitness programme, she found that this was an area of personal training that really lacked awareness. She went on to study multiple pre and postnatal fitness courses and became very passionate about empowering women to exercise during this period of their lives. Sophie is committed to providing a safe and judgement-free space for women to build strength, confidence and knowledge in their bodies. She currently works at Third Space Islington and provides online coaching.

“So from a strength training perspective the way that your body kind of changes during pregnancy is that there's quite a lot of postural changes. But if you think about the bump growing everything is kind of happening at the front of the body. So what's happening is that the shoulders might start to round your pelvis is going to shift. So it might tilt forwards it might tilt backwards which is going to change the way that your um that your muscles are balanced and your center of gravity shifts forward as well. So generally what's going to happen is that some muscles are going to become tighter and some muscles are going to become weaker which then leads to aches and pains that you might experience during pregnancy”
