  • Hey, there! After this week’s tea talk (peach-blueberry tea in a Mexican mug) and a life update about the future, I talk about denial. I introduce the topic with definitions, context, and the structure for this episode. Then, I talk about why we deny the truth: how ignorance is bliss, dealing with things is exhausting, and feeling like I don’t have time to address new information. Next, I question whether or not denial is healthy. Afterward, I describe how I snapped out of specific denial episodes: MUN, applying to universities, divorce and relocation, graduation, and moving. Lastly, I share my main takeaways and favourites in snacks, trends, and habits before signing off.

  • Hey, there! After a tea talk (maracuyá - hibiscus tea by Té La Teresita in a “T” mug) and a life update about where I’m standing with everything, I introduce the topic of STEM with some context and structure. First, I break down STEM in the twenty first century: big tools for big questions, an encouraging environment, and ethics. Secondly, I talk about what I’ve learned from STEM so far: the effort it takes, what the quest for knowledge actually looks like, the collective community, and the bond between STEMees. Thirdly, I talk about women in STEM: how we are under-represented, insecure, and I clarify that I’m not making myself the victim. Lastly, I wrap up with some key takeaways, and my favourites in clothes, candy, and habits before signing off.

  • Hey, there! This week I was joined by my role model: Salomé Beyer! We kicked things off with an introduction, tea talk, and rapid fire questions about feminism, inspiration, habits, and life. First, we explored Salo’s journey with Girl Up: her experience, the tools she acquired, and advice for upcoming feminists. Secondly, we talked about what makes Salo who she is: building up her sisters, educating with love, and staying humble. Thirdly, we talked about the future: her university expectations, life wishes, and message to her future self. Lastly, Salo asked me her questions and shared her recommendations in podcasts before signing off.FOLLOW THE PODCAST’S INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/theasteapodcast?igshid=r04b2760fkdlCONTACT ME THROUGH: theasteapodcast@gmail.com (for business inquiries, sponsorships or to tell me what you think about this podcast!)SEND ME A VOICE MESSAGE: https://anchor.fm/th351a-beaury/messageCHECK OUT THE DESIGNERS OF MY COVER ART: https://instagram.com/sofiarrublacreative?igshid=1xtsd1w69zkklhttps://instagram.com/cuerpobaldio?igshid=1jq5cb59nm2zListen to my other podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/3RhYyCBLVwBuNimne4zVCO?si=AG_LzDsuQdqBYedSmFOkfQFollow my TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJwKjr2L/ START YOUR PODCAST NOW BY HEADING TO anchor.fmGET IN TOUCH WITH SALO:Instagram: @salobeyer https://instagram.com/salobeyer?utm_medium=copy_linkEmail: salobeyerv@gmail.comTwitter: @salobeyer https://twitter.com/salobeyer?s=21CHECK OUT THE THINGS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE (IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE):Té La Teresita: https://lateresita.co Get familiar with Girl Up: https://girlup.orgWomen Deliver: https://womendeliver.orgBrené BrownSam Laura Brown from The Perfectionism Project: https://open.spotify.com/show/5QAsL8roKR67O1GO2LiXvS?si=ZHU2BI4HT3Gh-sBqW9LS2Q&dl_branch=1Listen to Hey Stranger! • Hey, there! I begin this episode with a tea talk (mint tea in a Juan Valdez mug) and a life update about school, my week, and a PE class. I introduce this week’s topic with a definition, context, and structure. Firstly, I share stories with my sister, teacher, outings, and meetings that exemplify unreliability. Secondly, I analyse why it bothers me so much: its a combination of my tendency to depend, holding myself to high standards, and feeling unimportant. Thirdly, I step back and clarify that I’m guilty myself, and realise that this hatred is a mirror effect, a consequence of imbalance, and a lack of empathy. I wrap up with some takeaways and my favourites in podcasts, series, and albums.

  • Hey, there! I kick this episode off with a tea talk (hibiscus tea in a Museo Del Prado mug) and a life update regarding vacation, college applications, and my occupations. I introduce the topic of making peace with the past through context and the structure for the episode. Then, I talk about how no decision is perfect by sharing stories, talking about destiny, explaining how regret won’t solve anything, and realising that the universe has a way of teaching us lessons. Next, I explore the art of acceptance: how time heals all wounds, how talking can help, and making the most of what you have. Afterward, I think about letting go: grudges that get in the way, paralysis, and how this is momentary. I wrap up with conclusions and my faves in backpacks and music.

  • Hey, there! This week’s episode begins with a tea talk (healing tea in a The Little Prince mug) and a life update about coronavirus, motivation, and what I’ve been up to. I introduce attention seekers with an imaginary scenario, clarification, and the structure for this episode. Next, I share the types of attention seekers: loud & subtle. Then, I break down the attention process: cultivating the ground, the beginning, the feelings, and the consequences. Afterward, I look at attention seeking as a part of humanity: our voids, the art of admiration, its beauty, and the humility inside the experience. Lastly, I wrap up with my key takeaways, and favourites in streaming services, songs, and TikTok trends before signing off.

  • Hey, there! Meet Juana, my childhood friend! This week we share a tea talk about red berry tea with a view. We get to know Kali through a series of rapid fire questions surrounding memories, philosophy, aspirations, and inspiration. Then, we explore the topic of anxiety: her story, how she approaches it now, coping mechanisms, resources, perceptions, and advice. Next, we talk about organization: Juana’s journey, her key, balance, and bouncing back. Afterward, Kali shares her experience with therapy: how she got into it, why it’s helpful, and her long term goals. Finally, Juana asks me her questions, and shares her book recommendations before signing off.FOLLOW THE PODCAST’S INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/theasteapodcast?igshid=r04b2760fkdlCONTACT ME THROUGH: theasteapodcast@gmail.com (for business inquiries, sponsorships or to tell me what you think about this podcast!)SEND ME A VOICE MESSAGE: https://anchor.fm/th351a-beaury/messageCHECK OUT THE DESIGNERS OF MY COVER ART: https://instagram.com/sofiarrublacreative?igshid=1xtsd1w69zkklhttps://instagram.com/cuerpobaldio?igshid=1jq5cb59nm2zListen to my other podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/3RhYyCBLVwBuNimne4zVCO?si=AG_LzDsuQdqBYedSmFOkfQFollow my TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJwKjr2L/ START YOUR PODCAST NOW BY HEADING TO anchor.fmGET IN TOUCH WITH JUANA:Follow her on Instagram (@juanalopez_10): https://instagram.com/juanalopez_10?utm_medium=copy_linkCHECK OUT THE THINGS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE (IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE):Listen to “Fix You” by Coldplay (on Spotify): https://open.spotify.com/track/7LVHVU3tWfcxj5aiPFEW4Q?si=HDDTXtXTRkuuW5eT1BebGA&dl_branch=1La depresión (no) existe: https://www.amazon.com/DEPRESION-EXISTE-CARLOS-RINCON-ESCALANTE/dp/9585266326The Secret: https://www.amazon.fr/Secret-Rhonda-Byrne/dp/1582701709The subtle art of not giving a f: https://www.amazon.fr/Subtle-Art-Not-Giving-Counterintuitive/dp/0062457713HERE ARE SOME QUOTES I LIKED FROM THIS WEEK’S EPISODE:“Everything in extremes is bad”“Learn to be happy and love what you have, and understand that is what you need”“Learn to love what you do”“My friends are part of my family”“Stress in my life is like a rollercoaster”“You will never get rid of stress, you just have to learn to control it”“When a cup of tea is coming, you know it’s going to be okay”“When you get stressed, you get lost”“Do you really have to get stressed about this?”“It’s not just about being a good student, it’s about feeling good”“Being organised is something you should enjoy”“I would write a lot of things in my to-do list that weren’t necessary simply because I wanted to feel more busy”“If your room is organized, a lot of things in your life are organized”“The less things you have, the better”“Know why you have the things you have”“Do I really need this?”“Organization should help you find peace, not make you stressed”“If you know that someone could help you, then ask them”“I write down what I have to do, take my time during it, and actually enjoy myself”“Be organized but be flexible with time”“It’s okay if you didn’t end up doing it that way; it’s okay if you do things differently”“Things are going to change, and you have to get on track”“Find my path”“People think that you need to have problems to go to a therapist, but I think anyone can go just to talk”“Your friends sort of put pressure on themselves when you open up to them because they feel a responsibility”“Sometimes I feel like I need to fix other people and I can’t do that” “I’m worried about losing friends, but I know that the real ones will stay”Thanks for tuning in, have a beautiful week!

  • Hey, there! I begin this week’s episode with a tea talk (cinnamon tea in an astronaut mug) and a life update about social service, vacation, and social life. I introduce competitivity with a clarification, anecdote, and structure for the conversation. Then, I talk about how exhausting competitivity can be: placing pressure on output, realising that I can’t be the best at everything, and understanding that I’m part of a team (and I should start thinking like that!). Next, I admit that competitivity is still important: it pushes us to improve, but, it can come with a burden, and it is important to distinguish collective from individual efforts. Afterward, I imagine what it would look like if these two aspects could coexist harmoniously. I wrap up with some takeaways, and weekly favourites in face masks, T-shirts, and groups before signing off.

  • Hey, there! This week’s episode was kicked off by a tea talk about cube tea in a Mexican mug, and a life update about standardised testing, my future, and normal life. I introduce this subject through stories, disclaimers, and the structure for this episode. First, I talk about how fake people aren’t your friends (except when they are) through stories, explanations, implications, and clarifications. Then, I talk about what to do in these situations: being weary, how to act, and what to keep in mind. Next, I depict “the art of indulging”, trying to understand why it’s so pleasing, analysing the teenager setting, and putting together the “connection” that is felt. To wrap up, I share my main takeaways and favourites in beauty, snacks, and movies.

  • Hey, there! Meet Kristian, a rising Harvard sophomore joint concentrating in Theatre, Dance, & Media and African American studies. We begin with a tea talk about Disney and some rapid fire questions revolving around routines, life lessons, and public messages. Then, we break down Kristian’s application process: ACTs, GPA, class rank, ECs, essays, standing out, and some advice— but she also reflects on the pressure in retrospect and puts these factors into perspective. Next, Kristian answers questions about life in Harvard: what it’s really like, academics, COVID, adjusting and surprises. Afterward, Kristian shows us how Harvard has become her home, and how she fits in with the Black community and YouTube. Lastly, Kristian asked me what I’m interested in, shared her recommendations and told us where to find her online. Thanks for joining us! • Hey, there! I started this week’s episode with my tea talk (cinnamon-apple-chamomile tea) and a life update about reading, having a slow week, and taking the SATs. I introduce this week’s discussion by defining support systems, stating why I’m recording this episode now, clarifying a disclaimer, and laying out the structure for the discussion. Then, I break up the importance of support systems into speaking and being social creatures. Next, I break down my support system. Afterward, I explain how to keep your power in your support systems: preserving your opinion and questioning who you’re letting in. Lastly, I wrap up with some key takeaways and my favourites in food, series, and books.

  • Hey, there! This week I am joined by the co-hosts of Creative Escape Podcast! We kick off this episode with a tea talk, and then a series of rapid fire questions about routines, aspirations, and philosophy. We dive into creativity by defining it, addressing misconceptions, and exploring creative outlets. Then, we talked about creativity on a grander scale: its importance, how to coexist healthily with it, and advice on its exploration. Afterward, we analyse the dynamic of two sisters working together: where the idea came from, how they divide their personal life from this project, and what traits make their teamwork compatible. To wrap up, Sofi and Mari ask me questions, share their recommendations, and say goodbye.
