EP22. Miranda almost had a panic attack at a recent wedding and it was a wake up call. We are working to get ahead, become more organized so we can prioritize personal time and mental health. Miranda finally shared about trying to get pregnant on social media (that it wasn't going as well as expected), and how she felt about the "advice and feedback" she received. Finally, she shares about a couple recent podcast episodes that inspired her to get back on the mic and record another podcast after weeks away. We are all going to fall off the horse on our journey towards something great. The important part is getting back up and becoming consistent again.

EP21. Miranda took full advantage of her first and last weekend off during the spring wedding season. She started working on the living room and decided that creating DIY social media content is basically impossible at this point in time. If anything, listen to this episode for a lesson on hanging curtain rods and panels. Our last neighborhood had yards that looked like abandoned haunted houses and now we have an intense HOA. There is so much pressure to keep your house tidy around here. On Sunday, Porter busted out of his crate while we were gone and had explosive diarrhea around the entire main floor. Miranda could do an entire episode on how much the dog stresses her out.

EP20. Miranda recaps the exhausting move to the new house. The packing wasn't terrible, but the actual move was excruciating. She jumps into the first couple of projects she plans to tackle (very slowly) at the new house, and shares some exciting news about the direction of the podcast.

EP19. Andrew and Miranda showed up late to the closing on their new house. Ryan has been sick, no one has been sleeping. We move tomorrow! Holy cow! Miranda shares the weekend moving plans, how Andrew might have a broken hand, and then talks about the emotional toll of working in the service industry. If these past few weeks have taught Miranda anything, it's that she needs to show more empathy, grace and compassion for all of the amazing humans she interacts with on a daily basis.

EP18. A quick life update (this episode is getting posted one week late). Miranda shares about her Whale of a Sale Kid's Consignment adventures. Ryan pukes for the first time and it breaks Miranda's mama heart. We break down worry vs. anxiety and how our thoughts manifest into physical symptoms within our body. When trying to conceive, the two week wait between ovulation and your period starting is the worst. Buying, selling and moving is so physically and metnally draining! Miranda shares about the final stretch to closing and the dumpseter they had delivered (which she feels so much shame about).

EP17. Just a quick life update this week! Between work and moving, Miranda is completely overwhelmed. According to an Instagram follower, "She makes her own life complicated, is never happy and complains a lot." Miranda gives her thoughts on that statement. Next, she gives real-time updates on the home buying and selling process. Things are moving quickly! Lastly, Miranda shares how her and Andrew have been trying for baby number two and the impact that's had the last few months.

EP16. Going through the home buying process has stirred up a lot of talk about family finances and where the family wants to be long term. Miranda shares how investing in real estate over the last 9 years has allowed her and her husband, Andrew, to buy their dream house. She talks about getting out of debt and monthly budgeting practices that are helping her and Andrew achieve their goals. We hope this episode encourages you to set value driven goals with your spouse, create, AND manage a budget that works for you!

EP 15. It's been a whirlwind of a week. Just when Miranda and Andrew decided that they were taking moving off the table, the house they were considering purchasing ended up with a price drop. They submitted an offer and then it was a mad dash to sell their current home (in like 48 hours)! Wow. It's been a week. They are literally nuts.

EP14. Miranda chats about the stress and mental load of being sick. Yes, the physical part sucks, but so does all the havoc it creates with work, in the family and with daily responsibilities. Next up on today's episode Miranda talks about frantic, off market home showings and a potential home purchase. She feels like she isn't "finished" with their current historic home and has a long list of projects she was hoping to complete before selling! Miranda talks about the pressure of quick DIY and home renovation in the social media space + her thoughts on changing your social media presence as your life changes.

Miranda has been sick, yet again. Today, she's reflecting on one year of being fully self-employed. The year FLEW by.
She didn't realize she wanted to own a business until her first job out of college where she felt bored and unfulfilled. The next 8 years, she worked in corporate marketing trying to build a business that would allow her to leave her day job. Many of those businesses failed or came to a close, until she found success in wedding planning.
Fear held her back from making the leap to full-time self-employment for a very long time, but when things came to a crossroads with her day job it was time to go all in on the business. Miranda shares all the exciting business plans in store as her team takes on 2023 and beyond!

EP12. Female Body Hair - Bullying, Shame & the Marketing Game
Miranda started her morning by cleaning up a big pile of poop (dog, not human). The entire family has been sick and it feels like there is no light at the end of sickness tunnel. Why is body hair so embarassing and perceived as dirty? Early 1920's marketing campaigns! So that rich white men could sell more razors! Miranda shares stories from when she was first told to shave her armpits, being bullied about her mustach in 6th grade and her "hairy nipples," in high school. She's waking up to the fact that she's the one to set the example for her daughter when it comes to body hair. That's a huge responsiblitly.

EP10. Feeling stressed? Overwhelmed? Like you can't possibly do what needs to get done? The culture that we live in says we can do it all and be it all, but that's just not true. We only have so much time in a day and with how fast life moves, it's easy to get swept up and live a life completely out of alignment with your priorities and values.
Miranda shares about her addiction to work and how all of that changed with the birth of her daughter. There is nothing like motherhood to make you take a good hard look at your life and where you spend the bulk of your time. A tiny mind shift of, "I'm too busy" to "That's not a Priority Right Now," is completely transforming how Miranda approaches every opportunity and decision that comes her way.

EP09. Miranda shares her experience of getting back into the bedroom with her husband after the birth of her daughter. We talk about how to create an open dialoge with your spouse about sex PRIOR to the baby's arrival, how to physically and mentally ease back into sex after giving birth to a child, and how to give yourself space, permission and grace as you find your new identity as a new mother. This is a fantastic episode for anyone having sex in a commited, long-term relationship, espeically if your sexual life is feeling a little stuck. And finally... we wouldn't recommend listening to this one with the kids around :)

Parking attendants are savage. Miranda rants about having to replace TWO furnaces and an air conditioning unit. Buy a home they said, it’s so awesome they said. She shares all the details about the offer they made on a house last summer and shares about what went down on Sunday after visiting an open house. If you have never gone through the process of purchasing a home or you are having a hard time purchasing in this crazy market, you might find this episode insightful!

EP07. It takes a lot of courage to put your “art” out into the world. Miranda shares how she feels insecure about her design style because it’s not what’s "popular." She then goes on a rant about lash extensions, standards of beauty, and how she has never felt sexy (in a culture that is all about sex appeal). Why do we shave our legs, color our hair and wear makeup? Where do you draw the line when it comes to beauty? Lastly, Miranda fills you in on Ryan’s first day of school and by the end of the episode has a breakthrough that her word of the year is officially “consistency.”

EP06. Miranda went through the entire day yesterday and only ate a bagel. Point being, there are NOT enough hours in the day. She talks through her family's changing childcare and daily routine, reviews her favorite period panties and shares this TINY change that has completely transformed communication in her marriage. Final thought, men talking about their feelings... so sexy.

And... if you need Cabo restaurant recommendations, look no further. Miranda also shares how hard (but imperative) it is to take a vacation as a small business owner. If ya know, ya know.

EP04. Miranda shares about her difficult teenage years, how she fired her last two therapists and her experiences with life coaching and hypnotherapy (which she wishes she used to better prepare for an unmedicated birth). This episode dives into Miranda's personal struggles with depression and anxiety as well as what comes next for more support during this crazy childbearing and postpartum stage of life.

EP03. Miranda had another weird sex dream which may or may not have involved someone from high school. Surprisingly, a fraternity trash can story symbolizes the condition in which many couples enter into marriage. Last but not least, Miranda shares her and Andrew's first hand experience with Eve Rodsky's "Fair Play" method in their household and marraige. Spoiler alert - It's been a game changer.
