Forgiving others is something God requires of us. But what does it really mean to forgive someone?
I think we can sometimes have resistance towards forgiveness due to a misunderstanding of what it actually means to forgive.
Join me today as I talk about the importance of forgiveness, what is actually is (and isn't) and how to be released from its heavy weight.

There are seasons in our lives when we feel absolutely barren. We can go through times when we feel completely stripped of everything that means something to us. Are you in a time like this right now?

As a follow-up to my last episode, I wanted to talk about reaching out for help a little bit more. This is such an important aspect to beginning the healing process, but it can be so scary and intimidating at the same time. In this episode, I read from a chapter in my book, "All of You" about the importance of reaching out for help, who to reach out to, and how to do that.

Are you a woman struggling with pornography? You are not alone.
This is part of my story and a topic that is still not talked about as often as it needs to be. There are so many women who struggle with this, which is one of the reasons I keep sharing it.
If this is something you are struggling with, you are not alone. There is incredible hope for you concerning healing and freedom.
Maybe you feel far away from this kind of struggle. I encourage you to listen to this podcast episode, because you most likely know another woman who is struggling with this. You may just not know it, yet.
Whether you are a woman who is struggling with this or if you know someone who does, I am believing that this episode will be helpful for you today.

Today I want to present to you another way to think about desires.
What comes to mind when you read the word “desire”? Do you believe your desires are something good to have, or are they something you need to restrain, ignore, or squelch? Could your desires be telling you something different than you think?

There can be many reasons why we can be hesitant to be still before Him. Sometimes we can be hesitant due to thoughts or feelings that might come to the surface when everything is silent. What do we do if that happens? Join me as I talk about all of this today, giving an example of how I just recently did this in my own life.

Have you ever felt like something in your heart or life suddenly has a bullseye on it, and you wonder where all the chaos inside of you came from? Sometimes it may seem like an attack of the enemy (sometimes it is) but sometimes it is the Holy Spirit revealing something in your heart that He wants you to see. As a result, there now seems to be a bullseye or huge spotlight on it. He doesn’t show us this to shame us but to show us what’s there so we can surrender it to Him, know Him more intimately, and be healed.

How easy is it for you to talk to God about your temptations? (I’m talking about those temptations and struggles you face that you hesitate telling other people about, let alone God.)
We know that God is already aware of our struggles, but many of us still often have great difficulty specifically talking to Him about them.
I know that this has most definitely been an area of my life that I have done a lot of work in, and I have grown in this area so much as my relationship with the Lord has grown in depth and intimacy over the years.
Today I want to share with you my own process of learning how to talk to God very specifically about my temptations and the many ways it ultimately helped in my life. I am praying this helps and encourages you!

This week’s podcast episode is about embracing our God-given characteristics that can often get left behind as we grow up.
What did you enjoy when you were a kid? What did you value or put extra time into? Were you a natural leader? Compassionate or empathetic? A nurturer? A good listener? Maybe you were naturally business minded?
These can all be indicators of some of the giftings and strengths that God put in you from very early on. It’s not too late to go back and embrace the fullness of who you were created to be.

Do you deal with shame or unworthiness due to your past?
In this week's podcast episode, I talk about the shame and feelings of unworthiness I carried around with me, even years after breaking free from a pornography addiction. I also talk about a weekend that was a huge turning point for me.
I look forward to sharing it with you! I’m praying that the Lord uses this to speak to you in the way that you need it today.

You can walk in freedom! Jesus has healed my heart, (and continues to do so) and I know He can do the same for you.
