On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with founder of plant-based chocolate brand, Love Raw. Growing up with two entrepreneurial parents, this week’s guest had no idea how much of an impact her family's businesses would have on her adult life. Taking a detour into the world of finance first, it wasn’t too long before her inner entrepreneur bubbled to the surface and she took a leap of faith into the world of health foods. Setting up shop in her in-laws' garage, she never would’ve expected Whole Foods to be the company that took a chance on her, but an initial order of 500 cases, an appearance on Dragons Den and multiple supermarket shelves later - it’s safe to say this was a risk that massively paid off! To tell her story in her own words, here’s what it’s like to be Rimi Thapar.

On today's episode, I’m chatting with the actor playing Mick in BBC Three’s upcoming comedy-drama My Left Nut. Taking classes at the local drama school in Belfast, this week’s guest never anticipated a starring role in an on-screen show. Deciding to leave acting behind him to focus on school studies, it was a random email he got whilst on holiday with his friends, that decided a new fate for him. Catching a flight home to audition, it wasn’t long before he was thrown into intensive filming and well, he can tell you what happened next. Sharing how he navigated a script set around a personal life story and the topic of men’s health, here’s what it’s like to be Nathan Quinn-O’Rawe.
My Left Nut will be airing on BBC Three tomorrow, Monday 25th April. The series will run over three episodes released weekly and you can catch up on iPlayer for anything you've missed.

On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with women’s rights activist and Singapore’s first ever burlesque performer. Coming from a very conservative, traditional family, growing up this week’s guest stifled her creativity and expression to please her family - but always knew there’d come a point she needed to let it be free. When it came to career choices, she first followed a more conventional path on entering the world of IT. Starting her first job in the UK, she spotted a burlesque club down the street from her office and everything changed. From her first solo show to performing on some of the biggest stages in the world and changing legislation in her home country, she has quite the story to tell. Here’s what it’s like to be Sukki Menon, otherwise known as Sukki Singapora.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by executive coach, leadership development consultant and founder of The People Person. From an early age, this week’s guest was never afraid to rock the boat if it meant she was able to chase after what she really wanted. Driven and ambitious, she followed wherever life took her and ended up rising to the top of the corporate ladder before realising she was deeply unsatisfied. Taking a step back to evaluate things, she found herself being drawn to a new calling - and that’s how The People Person came to fruition. Now, an author and successfully transforming peoples' lives on a daily basis, she’s sharing her words of wisdom and secrets to finding true self-belief. Here’s what it's like to be Lara Cullen.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting with a Youtuber and comedian, about to hit the road on tour. From as early as 11 years old, this week’s guest loved to make people laugh. Whether it was his mother on the way to school or a sold out venue, he always had a knack for entertaining and little did he know, would soon make a career out of doing just that. During his time at university, he decided to pursue his then dream of broadcasting and started a Youtube channel to get some video work under his belt. Setting up outside nightclubs, he began interviewing drunk students and StreetSmart was born. From then on, hard work and a chance encounter set the ball rolling. Filling in the gaps and sharing his insights into longevity online, why Youtube is the smart move and his upcoming Zocial Butterfly tour, here’s what it’s like to be Max Fosh.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by founder and CEO of Great Influence - the UK’s leading personal branding agency. The expert that’s building some of the internet’s favourite entrepreneurs, it all started for this week’s guest when he met a guy named Steven Bartlett. Joining the team at Steven’s first start-up, Wallpark, it wasn’t until they began cultivating what would become the world-renowned digital marketing agency, Social Chain, that he began to notice a shift in the way things were being promoted. Realising people would more readily buy into people, rather than a whole load of adverts and campaigns, he started honing in on the art of building public profiles. After seeing massive success with Steven, he decided it was time to try make it on his own. Taking what he'd learnt so far, he set up Great Influence. Handling the personal images of Umar Kamani, founder of Pretty Little Thing, Julian Hearn, founder of Huel and Oliver Cookson of MyProtein - to name but a few - he's lifting the veil on the personal branding buzz word that's spreading like wildfire across social media. Here’s what it’s like to be Ash Jones.

On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with founder of Jay’s Virtual Pub Quiz. Doing as it says on the tin, the quiz was a lockdown success story and has since continued connecting people across the world with weekly quizzes online. Keeping the nation entertained, however, was not always this week’s guest’s day job. From acting as a child to ending up living on the streets of London for the guts of 18 months, it’s fair to say life hasn’t always been smooth sailing - but no matter what hit him, he managed to stand firm and weather the storm. Letting me in on everything from breaking a Guinness world record for the biggest quiz with over 180 thousand people, to receiving an MBE from the Queen and how he put his life back together after being homeless, here’s what it's like to be Jay Flynn.

Eventually you will master your thoughts and emotions, and live with a sense of fulfilment.
I am passionate about what I do. I coached myself through a severe depression, eating disorders and domestic violence and my experience has led me on a journey of discovery of how to break out all of these challenges. On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with founder of Confetti, a mission led snack company that crafts award winning produce dense with nutrients and plant goodness. Beginning her career journey as a maths teacher, this Singaporean founder never imagined owning a business within the food industry. Always creative and packed full of entrepreneurial spirit, she had become tired of her 9-5 and decided to quit in search of adventure. On a trip around the world, she picked up on the amount of food waste and the problems it was causing for the health of our planet. So instead of continuing on with her travels, she decided she needed to plant her feet on the ground and get to work figuring out ways to put a stop to this. A little while and a whole lot of work later, Confetti was born. Quickly sweeping the aisles of Singaporean supermarkets and food retailers, people liked what they were tasting and she realised she was on to something great. To share her story here’s what it’s like to be Betty Lu.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by serial entrepreneur and founder of Cannamplify, a group of companies dedicated to making cannabis a part of everyday life. Born into entrepreneurship, this week’s guest was helping his parents with their businesses as early as nine years old. His ambitions as a teenager didn’t quite end up working out as he’d hoped following his time in the film industry being cut short, but in true entrepreneurial style, he quickly pivoted and found himself pursuing his many other side hustles. After successfully trying his hand at many industries, he became drawn to the world of cannabis and set to work creating what would become the centre of the European industry. Sharing how he overcomes challenges, rewriting the story around the drug and his definition of success, here’s what it’s like to be Shaan Mahrotri.

As a young entrepreneur, mental health activist and sobriety advocate, this week’s guest has quite the story to tell, beginning with a social media account named Student Problems, that he set up whilst at university. Realising, through this experience, the scale at which online platforms can hold influence, he jumped at the chance to become a leader in the field when approached by fellow entrepreneur Steven Bartlett. Together they managed to create a global company that would soon make them millions. On today’s episode, you’ll be hearing from a champion bodybuilder and contestant on the vastest season of SAS: Who Dares Wins. Growing up an active child, this week’s guest entered her teenage years relatively healthy but a few decisions later, found herself excessively drinking, increasingly experiencing low moods and overweight. She tells me of her turning point, a visit to the doctors whilst pregnant, that changed everything for her. Being told she was at high risk of contracting diabetes, she knew she had to make drastic changes and so set off to the gym in search of a solution. Falling in love with feeling strong, she set her sights on bodybuilding and worked her way into championship after championship. Wanting to test her newfound strength and push her mental capabilities to the extreme, she signed up to be a contestant on her favourite TV show and weeks later was at the mercy of Ant Middleton and the Channel 4 producers. On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with a wellness expert and one of Ireland’s first ever instructors of the Wim Hof method. As a teenager, this week’s guest had his sights set on professional basketball. Fully committed to pursuing his passion, he found himself deeply thinking about life in a way he couldn’t ignore. His questions became too loud and so he decided to hang up his trainers and go in pursuit of a different path altogether. Delving into the world of natural healing, he stumbled across Wim Hof whilst listening to a podcast. Captivated by the promise of a calmer, healthier lifestyle, he decided to research further and enrolled on the course to become an instructor. Combining powerful breathing techniques and cold water therapy, he completely changed his life around and dedicated his time thereafter to helping others. Sharing his take on the nature versus modern medicine debate, explaining the cold water phenomenon that’s taking over Ireland and the impact natural healing can have on mental health, here’s what it’s like to be Níall Ó Murchú.

On today’s episode, you’ll be hearing from a Dutch DJ, producer and songwriter. Growing up, music ran in the family. Starting on more classical instruments such as the piano and guitar, this week’s guest slowly began experimenting with different genres until he became captivated by the world of electronic music. Playing around with sounds, he was heavily inspired by melodic house music and he wasn’t the only one that liked what they heard when they listened to his mixes. Being recognised by the likes of Tiesto and Martin Garrix, it wasn’t long before this rising artist was picked up and signed to the label, STMPD - on the very same day as his graduation from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Ahead of the upcoming release of his latest track, “U Got Me”, we chat life as a young DJ, inspiration, the impact of the pandemic on musicians and his next move. On today’s episode, I’m chatting with the founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a non-profit marine conservation organisation that engages in direct action campaigns to defend wildlife, and conserve and protect the world’s oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction. From as early as ten years old, conservation was somewhat of a natural instinct. After spending the summer swimming with beavers near his home, he one day woke up to find they had been driven out of their natural habitat and that’s where it all began. Fast forward, having co-founded Greenpeace, he was becoming frustrated with the lack of change despite countless amounts of protesting and campaigning. He decided to leave in pursuit of a more direct action approach and Sea Shepherd was born. Sharing the entire journey from start to finish and giving his answer to how we can save our planet, here’s what it’s like to be Captain Paul Watson.

On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with bestselling author of Filter This, Unfiltered and most recently, Corpsing: My Body and Other Horror Shows. Growing up in Dublin, pursuing writing was never in the plans and ambitions of this week’s guest. Always creative, however, she went down an artistic path and chose to delve deeper into the world of sculpture. During her early twenties, following a bad experience with drugs, she suffered a nervous breakdown that quickly derailed everything and set her on an entirely new trajectory. From cheffing and catering with her husband to stumbling upon the opportunity to write a food column in one of Ireland’s national newspapers, things started to look up for the budding novelist and once she got a taste for creating narratives, she couldn’t get enough. Currently working on the second draft of her fifth book, she shares with me the struggles of getting published, how she overcomes self doubt and everything in between. Here’s what it’s like to be Sophie White.

On today's episode, I'm chatting with a British recording artist, songwriter and producer. Born in Nottingham, this week's guest's very first memory of music is being given a Pink Floyd CD by his Dad. Discovering and experimenting with different sounds and genres, he fell in love with the guitar in his teens as a form of escapism. Coming to the conclusion that he wouldn’t be able to make his passion his day job, he ended up taking another path in life and found himself working for Parliament in London. Surrounding himself with like-minded people in the capital, he began making music again for fun and it was then that he found his voice. From plays on BBC Radio One to tours and record deals - he shares the harsh realities of the music industry and why despite it all, he could never give it up. Here’s what it’s like to be Joel Baker.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by the co-founder of Happy Out, a cafe concept that started in two shipping containers on the shores of Dublin’s Bull Island. Entrepreneurship is something that has always come naturally to this week’s guest. Wanting to own his own business has been his ambition for as long as he can remember but never could he have guessed, that a few years down the line he’d be co-founder of two coffee shops that have taken Dublin by storm. The first brand in Ireland to adopt the shipping container as a home for their cafe, Happy Out had people eagerly queueing up from the moment it opened its doors. On today’s episode, I’m speaking with founder and creative director of French high-end streetwear brand, NASASEASONS and Prospect 100, a series of youth competitions set up to find the best in their fields. Growing up in the Tumblr era, this week’s guest has always been intrigued by the aesthetic and culture of his generation. What began as a collective of friends hosting parties in Paris, transformed into an idea of how they could capture a moment in time and eventually a streetwear brand that would end up on the heads of Hollywood and beyond. Stitching short, snappy slogans on to caps would take over his life for the next few years and little did he know he was in the process of building a concept that would attract the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West - and have his name mentioned in Vogue and Forbes to name a few. Sharing with me how he did it from start to finish alongside his other creative projects that include work with the Rolling Stones and setting up a competition series with a judging panel that boasted Steve Wozniak, here’s what it’s like to be Alexandre Daillance.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to founder of Saluto London, a clothing brand curating vintage womenswear and up-cycling one-of-a-kind creations from textiles that would have otherwise gone to landfill. This week’s guest is a prime example of how life doesn’t always turn out the way you expect it to. Beginning her career journey chasing a job at a magazine, she worked a total of thirteen internships to get her dream role - only to discover it wasn’t quite what she’d been hoping for. At a loss as to what to do next, it was a trip to one of the biggest vintage fairs in London that made the penny drop. A sort of love at first sight, she realised she needed to be working with vintage clothing and started buying and selling unique pieces to her friends. What started as a tiny operation turned into a full scale online store and soon, a studio in the centre of the city. To share how she did it, here’s what it’s like to be Hannah Stacpoole.
