Karla Homolka
In this second episode of a two part series on KARLA HOMOLKA some of the big questions are asked. Was she afraid to leave, or was she fulfilled by her involvement? Psychoanalysts have drawn the connection between Karla Homolka and a syndrome known as "Bonnie and Clyde" syndrome or hybristophilia - as it appears some element of paraphilic disorder is in play with Karla.

Karla Homolka
Was she afraid to leave, or was she fulfilled by her involvement? Psychoanalysts have drawn the connection between Karla Homolka and a syndrome known as "Bonnie and Clyde" syndrome or hybristophilia - as it appears some element of paraphilic disorder is in play with Karla. She had the proclivity for dark sexual fantasies at a young age. Many teens and young adults do, as they experiment and explore sexuality - and of course even adults do the same. However, when the disorder comes in … it resembles more of an urge than a desire. Those urges cross the line of "exploring and sexual play" when they involve their own suffering or humiliation, on themselves or their partner. Often these disorders can involve repeating, and compelling behaviors that are designed to disable or distress, and can included non-consenting adults or even children. No matter if it causes harm or potentially even death.

The Lori Douglas Story

Or, the even bigger question I’m asking … How much do we need to know? You can be the jury on this chapter ...

Myles Shumlanski received a frantic call from his son Nick claiming “The bus was in an accident”. He gathered his wife and raced in his vehicle to the crash site, less than a quarter mile from his home. They were the first family members on the scene. He could see that a devastating accident had occurred, noticing that when Nick came running to him he was only one of the two kids that seemed able to even walk.

A jury found Raymond Cormier “not guilty” in the murder of fifteen year old Tina Fontaine on February 22, 2018. She weighed 72 pounds at the time of her murder - so tiny. It made the brutal death seem even more gruesome because her stature was that of a young child. Her murder would inspire the Federal Government of Canada to order an inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. In the meantime, the hurt and disappointment over Tina Fontaines murder would have a long reach in devastating a chain of family and friends that leave you wondering where does the pain ever end. In fact will it ever end?
-
Tina Fontaine did call in to tell police that “Sebastian” or Raymond Cormier, did in fact steal a truck. It set in stone the fact of where she was, and what time and date she was there. Her displeasure with Raymond was enough to motivate her to make that call, and it gives us just that little nagging certainty that there was in fact a reason for Cormier to hurt her.
-
Tina Michelle Fontaine, was born on the first of January in 1999.
Raised by her great aunt Thelma Favel, and uncle Joseph Favel for over ten years ……… Tina’s early life started out tough. She lived on the Sagkeeng First Nation Reserve and later in Powerview - Pine Falls, Man. Her father, Eugene, when 41 was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was told he would not survive longer than four months. Tina’s great aunt Thelma helped take care of her and her father. At one point he went on a three day bender in 2011 with his friends Nicholas Abraham and Jonathan Starr. They argued about money and Eugene was beaten many times over several hours. Eugene was then dragged out to a shed - and in that cold fall night he was left there … tied up and without a shirt on. Her father's violent death deeply affected Tina. "She was very hurt, very lost. That's when she drifted away." Said her great aunt.

Jian Ghomeshi is a Canadian musician, writer, and former CBC radio broadcaster. Part of the horizon of the arts in Canada for over thirty years. A celebrated Juno nominee, and a Gemini winner for his radio broadcast "Q - Wtih Jian Ghomeshi." Anyone who is anyone sat across from Jian to be interviewed and many, even performed live in his studio. Jian is embroiled in the biggest sexual assault trail in the history of Canadian broadcasting. In front of the mic he is kind, charismatic and very charming, behind closed doors he is a man struggling with demons of never belonging, and never being good enough. A private mans very personal and sexual identity is waved through the media by multiple women who have remained silent for so long. The real question is twofold , how did so many people know and not act on the insights they had? How did Canada's public broadcaster not respond to issues that were brought to them by women who claimed it was "hell" working in the "Q" offices?

Here is a case out of the Canadian Maritime Province of New Brunswick. Two brothers, Connor and Noah spent the day with a close family friend at his father's farm. That evening they slept overnight with his son at an apartment just in front of their family home. For their mother, step father, and even the family friend there was no reason to worry for their safety....or, was there? This case has a special focus on how our decisions can determine our fate, and when many people make poor decisions together - it can be a fatal disaster.
