  • After the release of Chapter 7, we received a message from the county sheriff's detective who worked the Tawnya Knight disappearance, and later her murder case.

He's since retired, but he very generously agreed to an interview on the record to tell "the rest of the story" of the homicide investigation.

  • Tawnya was reported missing on December 8, 1996. She was last seen by an acquaintance during the evening hours in Spring Hill, Kansas, on December 7, 1996. Police originally suspected that she was a runaway but her mother, Lori, knew better. On June 7, 1997, Tawnya’s skeletonized remains were found in a farmer’s field in the 21000 block U.S. 169 Highway, Spring Hill, Kansas. Her death was ruled a homicide, but there was never an arrest nor were there any charges filed in the case. In Episode 1, you'll hear about the facts, as we know them, surrounding the case. You'll also hear from Lori (Tawnya's mother) and Jeff McDonald (the family's Private Investigator).
