Episodes

  • The same way you go through things that no one knows about not even the people that are constantly with you or around you

And someone’s hard on you & you think to yourself

“you have no idea what I’m going through”

    “Be a little kinder”

“Does it hurt to say things in a nicer calmer way”

The SAME WAY you go through those things, everyone goes through it too sometimes

    soo…

The next time someone says something harsh or their mood is off, say astaghfirullah

remind yourself that they are human too and let it go.

-> soo many verses in the Quran speak about making room for one another, tending to people’s emotions & being of those who pardon others.

The verse reflected on about Sayyida Maryam.(AS)

Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried, “Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!”

  • Shawwal is coming to an end!! Have you fasted your six yet???

Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year." Related by Muslim.

  • We need to learn to speakkk to Allah🥹

    An-Nu`man bin Bashir narrated that:

The Prophet said: “The supplication, is worship.”

    - The Hadith about traces of wudu being light:

    Narrated Nu`am Al-Mujmir:

Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul- Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).' "

    Sahih al-Bukhari 136

    - The dua for lighttt!!:

    allaahumma-j‛al fee qalbee noor-an, wa fee lisaanee noor-an, waj‛al fee sam‛ee noor-an, waj‛al fee baṣaree noor-an , waj‛al min khalfee noor-an, wamin amaamee noor-an, waj‛al min fawqee noor-an, wa min taḥtee noor-an, allahumma a‛ṭinee noor-an

O Allah, place within my heart light, and upon my tongue light, and within my ears light, and within my eyes light, and place behind me light, and in front of me light, and above me light, and beneath me light. O Allah, bestow upon me light.

    - Verse about believers having perfect light and Allah not disgracing the believers on the day of judgement 🥹

O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance, so your Lord may absolve you of your sins and admit you into Gardens, under which rivers flow, on the Day Allah will not disgrace the Prophet or the believers with him. Their light will shine ahead of them and on their right. They will say, “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us. ˹For˺ You are truly Most Capable of everything.”

    Quran 66:8

    - Verse about the munafiqoon(hypocrites) asking the BELIEVERS for light

On that Day hypocrite men and women will beg the believers, “Wait for us so that we may have some of your light.” It will be said ˹mockingly˺, “Go back ˹to the world˺ and seek a light ˹there˺!” Then a ˹separating˺ wall with a gate will be erected between them. On the near side will be grace and on the far side will be torment.

    Quran 57:13

The tormented will cry out to those graced, “Were we not with you?” They will reply, “Yes ˹you were˺. But you chose to be tempted ˹by hypocrisy˺, ˹eagerly˺ awaited ˹our demise˺, doubted ˹the truth˺, and were deluded by false hopes until Allah’s decree ˹of your death˺ came to pass. And ˹so˺ the Chief Deceiver deceived you about Allah.

  • The last voice note I recorded for you in the morning of the 27th day of Ramadan 1446AH🥹🤍

I miss Ramadan and I’m sure you do too.

Listening to this I remember Ramadan more clearly, I remember its smell, its breeze , its feelings of peace and closeness to the most Compassionate

Keep saying allahumma innaka afffuwwun tuhibbul afuwa fa affu anni

Keep making dua for the things you want

As my cousin said, you don’t expect to go into Ramadan and then thirty days later you’re a completely different person,

    growth takes times

so use your Ramadan as a stepping stone

    And prayyyy

    Speak to Allah

There’s no might or power except for Allahs

You and I can’t do it, but Allah can and if he wills it be and it will be.

So shouldn’t we continue to ask The Only One Who Can

We just need to keep asking🫶🏾

  • - Remind yourself WHY you’re fasting, and WHY you’re praying the nights, and WHY you’re searching for lailatul qadr - وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ, But ˹continue to˺ remind. For certainly reminders benefit the believers.”

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ."

    Reference : Sahih al-Bukhari 2014

    In-book reference : Book 32, Hadith 1

You have to go out of your way to not be forgiven by Allah, if there’s a deficiency in your fasting, your qiyaam will make up for it by Allahs mercy , if there’s a deficiency in your qiyaam , qiyaam on lailatul wadr will make up for it by the mercy of Allah

A complete guide to the last 10 nights and lailatul qadr with Imam Omar-

    - If you’ve stayed up all night before, you CAN STAY UP ALL NIGHT TONIGHT ( the last ten nights!) , YOU CAN SLEEP ON THE DAY OF EID

    It’s ten nights ! And it’s gone!

a night BETTER than a THOUSAND months not EQUAL TO! BETTER!

    - The best version of you is the person you’ve been this ramadan, is the person you are the type of person that goes to paradise?? Are you the type of person you want to die being?

    - Reflect on- is the ramadan I’ve lived good enough for Allah to say, yes , I will grant you jannah, I will forgive this servant of mine

    - We have to prayyyyyy about the things we’ve given up in ramadan, let it not be a pause! Are you worshipping Ramadan or Allah!?

    - be in constant communication with Allah, talk to Allah, tell him , ya Allah you see what I am going through,

Ya Allah help me, ya Allah I’m trying

    Dua is WORSHIP!

And correct worship is rewarded ! By the mercy and will of Allah!

    - A dua from the Quran I recently started loving:

My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺.”

    Part of Quran 46:15

“My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You have blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please you. Admit me, by Your mercy, into ˹the company of˺ Your righteous servants.”

  • A little sisterly catchup💗

I know it can get super overwhelming when you want to do so much especially in Ramadan and your responsibilities require you to do other things

Whether it’s going to school or tending to your kids or your parents, with everything you do you can intend for it to be an act of worship ! Allah is so merciful that EVERYTHING YOU DO CAN BE AN ACT OF WORSHIP!

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t STRIVEE and have a plan to challenge ourselves as it’s obviously RAMADAN but this should keep us calm, motivated and hopeful.

    ————

    Hadiths to motivate us:

Abdullah bin 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said that Allah, the Glorious, said:

"Verily, Allah (SWT) has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (to write): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and even more. But if he intends to do an evil act and has not done it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a full good deed, but if he intends it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed".

    [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

    ——-

It was narrated that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah said:

"Actions are but by intentions, and each man will have but that which he intended. Whoever emigrated for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrated for the sake of some worldly gain or to marry some woman, his emigration was for that for which he emigrated."

  • Ramadan truly is a training ground for good manners🤍🪻

Alhamdulillah for Ramadan! May we leave it having improved on how we treat each other. Whether it’s distancing ourselves from idle speech and gossip and backbiting and slander or controlling anger and being mindful of our speech and everything else.

~ Hey sis, sorry I didn’t send you a voice note yesterday.. I recorded this one when I really needed a nap so I pray to Allah it’s beneficial!

Day 4 today and I pray we remember, as we try our best to fulfill the rights of Our Creator , we also strive to be the best to His creation. Even if some of us are hungry , our reward is with Allah🫂we’re in this together!

Today we reflected on this beautiful verse,

O believers! When you are told to make room in gatherings, then do so. Allah will make room for you ˹in His grace˺. And if you are told to rise, then do so. Allah will elevate those of you who are faithful, and ˹raise˺ those gifted with knowledge in rank. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

    Quran 58:11

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned to face the people and said, ‘Straighten your rows,’ three times, ‘for by Allah either you straighten your rows or Allah will create division among your hearts.’ And I saw men standing shoulder to shoulder, knee to knee, ankle to ankle.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 662; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 61

    All About straightening rows

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

    Sahih al-Bukhari 1901

    Abu Hurairah narrated that:

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven."

  • A Prophetic Ramadan - link to video📌

Why should we follow the Sunnah / The Prophetic teaching of our Prophet: becauseee Allah swt says:

    لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌۭ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا ٢١

Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.

    Quran 33:21

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

    Quran 3:31

Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah…

    Quran 4:80

    - soo please follow as many sunnahs as you can and may Allah accept from us and allow for the Quran to have a visible transformative impact on us and may Allah allow for us to prioritise staying in seclusion with Him swt this Ramadan like our Prophet pbuh🫂🥹

    Other references

…Surely good deeds wipe out evil deeds…

    Quran 11:114

    Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur'an with him. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then used to be more generous than the fast wind.

  • ALHAMDULLILAHI RABBIL A’LAMEEN!

We’re living in our answered duaas!!!🥹

Oh what a beautiful merciful perfect master we have 🥹

    Oh Alhamdullilah

    Alhamdullilah

    Alhamdullilah

Please infusee your first night with gratitude and gratitude and gratitude!

Thank Allah for letting you reach here!

    For He swt tells us

And ˹remember˺ when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.’”

    Quran 14:7

May Allah allow for us to show our gratitude to him by becoming the BESTT versions of ourselves for Him and only him ya rabbal a’lameen

The three duas to keep repeating-

     Allahumma ballighna lailatul qadr

( Oh Allah make us reach lailatul qadr)

     Allahumma A’atiq Riqaabana minnan naar

(Oh Allah save our necks from the hellfire)

Rabbanaa taqabbal minna innaka anta assamee al-aleem

(Oh our Master accept from us , indeed you are The All-Hearing / The One who always listens ,The All Knowing)

I pray that Allah makes this the Ramadan that changes our lives and hearts forever! For the better! Ya Mujeed Ya Arhamurraahimeen

I pray to Allah that this is beneficial 🫂

Video about how tonight is a night we should also stand in prayer in hope and faith to get our sins forgiven

Still there are some who take others as Allah’s equal—they love them as they should love Allah—but the ˹true˺ believers love Allah even more. If only the wrongdoers could see the ˹horrible˺ punishment ˹awaiting them˺, they would certainly realize that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is indeed severe in punishment.

And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.

    Quran 99:7-8

    ‏.

Alqamah bin Waqqas (said) that he heard ‘Umar bin Khattab, when he was addressing the people, saying:

“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Actions are but by the intention and every man will have but that which he intended. So he whose emigration was for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for Allah and His Messenger. But he whose emigration was for some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his emigration was for that which he migrated.”

  • At times life can get tough , tests can get tough but what better news to receive than an assurance that these tests will not go to waste and they surely will end soon enough.

A day will come when we will stand before our Lord , our Maker, our Sustainer, our Master when He will be soooo proud of how hard we fought our nafs and the shayateen to pass these tests and he will be soooo proud of us and sooo pleased with us

    🥹🥹🥹

Oh servant of her merciful lord , the tests WILL end, say it , believe it, remember it

Keep going, keep trying, don’t give up.The tests WILL end soon enough

And you’ll be soooo glad you held on to Allah

    🥹you’ll be so glad

  • *disclaimer! I said the prophet called shaaban neglected paraphrasing the Hadith

    The actual Hadith-

    Usamah bin Zaid said:

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting any month as much as Shaban.' He said: 'That is a month to which people do not pay much attention, between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which the deeds are taken up to the Lord of the worlds, and I like that my deeds be taken up when I am fasting."'

  • On this episode Nafisa reflects on the fact that when you love someone you do things for them to be pleased and you stay away from things that are displeasing to them to prove your love for them.because that love is enough reason to do things even if you don’t understand why they like it or why they might not like it , the love you have for them is enough of a reason for you to let go off that thing or hold on to it.

So what then of our claim of loving Allah?🥹

Love IS a VERB, it’s an ACTION as well.We can all make tall claims , whether it’s claiming to love Allah or claiming we have faith in our hearts.

But faith and love are verbs as well . If love and faith are truly in our hearts , what’s our proof?

Do we do what Allah likes? Do we stay away from that which He (swt) dislikes?

What’s our proof?what’s our evidence that our claims of faith in and love for Allah are true?

She also reflects on the fact that we can’t love however, one we do not know. We can’t trust one we don’t know. Sacrifice for one we don’t know .

we need to know Allah to love him for how can you love whom you don’t know?

We NEED to get to know Allah so we can love him, sacrifice for Him , trust in Him, rely on Him.

This is a series on YouTube that I say is the BEST! thing on the internet 🥺☹️

Names of Allah and His attributes

-Ustadh Hisham has a different approach to it, He explains the names of Allah the way Allah presents them in the Quran, those that are paired in the Quran will be explained as pairs etc

It’s a beautiful approach in my opinion and it’s absolutely amazing

    Who is Allah?

-This video is also absolutely amazing.

    Islam channel app

-There’s a series called 99 Names of Allah , it has 21 episodes , it’s also amazing from the parts I’ve watched🥹life changing infact subhanallah

The pain of the Prophets and Overcoming your struggles

-This is the video I was referring to - Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah

I pray to Allah this is beneficial 🤍

  • Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh!

Welcome or welcome back to a digital journal!

This episode has to be one of my absolute favorites!I grew up LOVING seerah( the stories of the Prophets), in whatever form! And I have always loved the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and yesterday I came across this post from Bayyinnah tv saying “sometimes all you need is Haroon” and I woke up today thinking about that.

Sometimes all you need is a companion.A support. Something or someone to confide in, someone to support you and hold you and guide you and ride with you through the ups and downs of life someone to be there for you , to strengthen you and keep you going…

And so we reflect on the story of how Prophet Musa AS being a Prophet of Allah requested that Allah gives Prophet Harun AS to him(his brother) to come along with him and support him on his mission to deliver the truth to the Pharoah ( Firaun) and his people.

And reflected on SO MUCH MORE!The Quran! The Quran! Upon you is the Quran oh servant of Allah.

    Have a listen

And I pray Allah makes this beneficial! For you , for me , for anyone who comes across it!

Quran.com - amazing Quran site , has translations, various tafseer in English etc

They have an app as well:

Quran App - has translations and tafseer in Arabic, highlighting and note features etc

    Other apps:

Al Quran app - has translations and tafseer in English, notes feature etc

Ayah App - I personally use this app to read , because of the more Quran looking design but haven’t explored the features in it
