Like many mothers, Imke has struggled at times with ‘mum guilt.’ And as many people do, she went looking for answers that would help her understand these emotions and to overcome them.
Since she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she did her own research and, along with her own experiences, wrote a book to help not only herself, but other moms as well. The Art of Navigating Mum Guilt is a heartfelt collection of stories and experiences from women who have navigated the emotional challenges of motherhood. This book is like sitting down with a close friend for a comforting and insightful chat, allowing you to feel understood and supported.
Imke and I discuss some of the challenges moms face and some of the chapters she has written about.
Through Imke’s loving light and caring soul, she is teaching other women how to love themselves and to handle the unique challenges that come at any stage of motherhood and to embrace the journey with compassion and confidence.

Susan is a writer, community creator, coach, wife, and mom. One of her children has autism so needless to say, life in her household is a little different than it is for others.
Susan was already practicing home schooling (or as she calls it, unschooling) with her other children, so having to teach her autistic child from home was something she had been prepared for.
But Susan’s purpose and passion goes beyond just raising her children. It is to bring awareness to the way society has treated those with autism and that there is real proof that the knowledge and understanding of the autistic person is “in there,” and there are better ways to bring them “out.”

Jan grew up in Pittsburg, PA and spent a lot of her childhood sick. The climate of PA did not bode well for her, and she had upper respiratory issues most of her life.
Eventually Jan moved to Arizona, which was better for her physical body, but then she developed chronic migraines. In Arizona Jan was introduced to alternative medicines and techniques including, chiropractic care and acupuncture. For about 10 years she ‘wrote off’ allopathic medicine and began her journey into a more natural route and eventually into ‘energy medicine.’
Jan originally had dreams of becoming a pilot in the military, but her short stature and vision issues prohibited those plans, so instead, she went into teaching. She started at the elementary level but after 10 years, Jan found higher education to be a better fit and taught at the college level for over 25 years.
Jan had a spiritual awakening when she was very young and sought out a deeper connection with God. Through her healing journey, she studied a variety of religions and eventually found herself studying the shamanic healings of the indigenous people of Arizona.
Today, Jan is an author, coach, and public speaker. She often refers to her spiritual practice as being a midwife to the spirit world and she loves helping others go within and transform their lives through mindfulness and meditation.
Tune in for a discussion that may spark a desire, or continuation, of your own transformation and inner healing.

Born and raised in Columbia, Kandy grew up in extreme poverty. School and academia were her salvation and through the guidance of her grandfather, she was able to find the internal fortitude that helped her survive the hardships encountered at such a young age.
Fate also had plans for Kandy’s life. As an adult, her sister had been invited to a party, but Kandy went instead. At the party, she met a US Marine, and the next day, he asked her to marry him. She already had two children and didn’t speak English, but because he had accepted the entire package, she said yes, and three months later, they were married and came to the United States.
Because her husband was in the military, and on deployment often, he encouraged Kandy to pursue her education and to become independent just in case anything happened to him, and he was no longer able to support her. She learned to speak English, drive, and continued her education.
Today, not only does Kandy have her master’s degree, but also her PhD. She worked her way through corporate America and had also worked for Homeland Security. Eventually Kandy started her own coaching business and now runs a multi-million-dollar career.
Her hard work and determination have given Kandy a rags-to-riches life. Tune in to a story of a person who lives in gratitude, is thankful for the doors God has opened, and shows what the power of focus can do to change the trajectory of one’s life.
