BARB HIGGINS is mother to Gracie, Molly, Jack, and Baby Gordy. In 2016, she lost Molly to a brain tumor. In 2021, aged 57, she gave birth to her little boy, Jack. To date, she is the oldest woman to have given birth in New Hampshire.
An educator at heart, she also loves athletics, music, theater and the arts. Barb graduated from Boston University in 1986 with a Masters in Education. She also has a Certificate of Advanced
Graduate Studies (C.A.G.S.) from Plymouth State University in Education Leadership through Arts Integration. She has taught elementary, special, and physical education as well as health. She has coached cross-country and track and field for over 30 years.A Division One All American in Track and Field at BU in 1983, Barb was a competitive runner for many years competing for Nike before returning to her hometown in 1989.
Barb coaches and participates in Crossfit and has a Podcast called A Thousand Tiny Steps. Creating The MollyB Foundation helps to keep the best parts of Molly alive and helps others to achieve their goals.

Today I am feeling the urge to just speak my thoughts all about connections and my journey this past year in regards to connection and what I have concluded.
I really wanted to come on and share today because today’s date is August 8, 2024… it is 8-8-8. It is the 8th day of the 8th month and if you add up the numbers in 2024 you get 8, making today 8-8-8. Also, the number 8, if you turn it on it’s side, it is the infinity sign, so today is 3 infinity signs together. I don’t gamble but I would say today is like hitting the astrological jackpot and I am feeling a shift happening. I have been feeling it the last couple of weeks. A shift within myself and a shift around me, energetically, and I think it is exciting.
In this episode I explain the 3 pillars of my membership community Present Moment Connections - connection to self, connection to others, and connection to the world.
I also discuss I have come to believe connection is the answer. If we think about anything we perceive as a problem, I have believe it can be solved with connection.

About the Guest:
I have worked in the legal field for over 25 years. Iwas in and out of dark places in my life dealing with depression, alcohol abuse, and suicidal tendencies. I burnt out again and again because I didn't understand that I had unresolved trauma. Then, I hit bottom again and returned to thoughts of ending my life for the fourth time since I was 17 years old. Thankfully, the Universe had set up angels all around me before I knew that I needed them. With the help of a Reiki healer, a somatic therapist, and an unbelievable plant medicine ceremony, I gained a renewed and incredible zest for life! I became certified as a Reiki Master/Holistic Energy Healer and opened a new practice with my life goal of sharing my Light with the world in hopes of healing women and men who have experienced the same or similar challenges as I had.
