  • They call it the most stolen artwork in the world… Could this be true? Great interest has been generated throughout its six centuries of existence. It has been stolen, separated, almost burned, and to date is incomplete, although visible in the cathedral of Saint Bavo in Ghent.

  • Hi friends! We are returning with new production! Producciones Hermanas a Distancia is proud to bring a new facet of Inclusive Art/Inclusive Art to the Podcast, and no one better to return with but the fascinating Ana Mendieta. Her connection with nature, her identity, and her use of the body as a means to create art, make this Cuban artist worthy of admiration and recognition today, even after her death (I said it is episode 20 in the recording, but it is episode 21 🙃).

  • When it comes to art, the materials used are varied, endless, and in many cases surprising. From commonly used materials such as acrylic paint, to unusual media such as human hair and nails, chicken bones, blood, textiles, pigments, elephant dung, fire and all kinds of substances you can imagine; art has appropriated, reused, used and reconfigured a series of unimaginable materials, tools or "mediums" throughout history.
