Thomas Dayspring MD is a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the National Lipid Association and is certified in internal medicine, and clinical lipidology. After practicing in New Jersey for 37 years, in 2012 he moved to Virginia and served as an educational director for a nonprofit cardiovascular foundation and until mid-2019 as a Chief Academic Advisor for two major CV laboratories. Since then, he has served as a virtual cardiovascular / lipidology educator. Career-wise he has given over 4000 domestic (in all 50 states) and several international lectures, including over 600 CME programs on atherothrombosis, lipids/lipoproteins (and their treatment), vascular biology, biomarker testing, and women’s cardiovascular issues. He has authored several manuscripts and lipid textbook chapters and performed several podcasts. For several years he was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. He was the recipient of the 2011 National Lipid Association’s Presidents Award for services to clinical lipidology and the 2023 Foundation of NLA Clinician/Educator Award. He has over 35K followers on his educational Twitter (X) feed (@Drlipid). He has Gold Heart Member status as a professional member of the American Heart Association and serves as a Social Media Ambassador for the European Atherosclerosis Society and for the National Lipid Association.

Dr. Adam Perlman is an internationally recognized expert in Integrative and Functional Medicine. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Pendulum Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on the microbiome and its connection to chronic disease.
He formerly served as the Director of Integrative Health and Wellbeing at Mayo Clinic, Florida and Medical Director for Employee Wellbeing. Prior to that, he was Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness for the Duke University Health System, overseeing Duke Integrative Medicine and the Duke Diet Center.
Dr. Perlman received his BA from Tufts University and his MD from Boston University School of Medicine, completing residencies in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine as well as a General Internal Medicine Research Fellowship at Boston Medical Center. He earned an MPH from the Boston University School of Public Health. He is also certified in Functional Medicine.
Doctor Perlman has been practicing Integrative and Functional Medicine for over 25 years at some of the top healthcare systems in the Country. He specializes in the integration of lifestyle, diet and other complementary modalities, such as acupuncture or massage, with more conventional medicine in a whole person approach to treating a wide variety of conditions, such as chronic pain, gastrointestinal issues, and autoimmune disease.

Dr. Damon Tweedy is a distinguished psychiatrist, author, and professor who has made significant contributions to the discourse on race and medicine in America. Tommy is a UK-trained MD with a PhD in physiology and neuroscience. The majority of his academic work has focused on developing therapies for brain injury in new born infants, but he has published on a variety of topics including adult neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases, as well as nutritional approaches to sports performance.
Tommy received an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge before attending medical school at the University of Oxford. After working as a junior doctor in central London, he moved to Norway for his PhD work, and then to the University of Washington as a postdoc.
His current research interests include the physiological and metabolic responses to brain injury, as well as developing easily accessible methods with which to track human health, performance, and longevity. He does this work through academic positions at the University of Washington and the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition. Tommy is President of the Physicians for Ancestral Health Society, and on the scientific advisory board of Hintsa Performance, which includes developing nutrition and lifestyle strategies for drivers in elite motorsports.

Dr. Mark D’Esposito investigates the neural mechanisms underlying working memory, cognitive control and frontal lobe function utilizing different convergent experimental approaches such as functional MRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation, pharmacological interventions, and behavioral studies of healthy individuals and those with neurological disorders.

Dr. Ghannoum is a tenured Professor and Director of the Center for Medical Mycology at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Medical Center.
He is also the co-founder of BIOHM Health, one of the leading consumer microbiome companies in the United States.
He is also the founder of NTS Ventures, one of the leading microbiome and fungal clinical research organizations globally.
He is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, and served as a President of the Medical Mycological Society of the Americas. He received the Freedom to Discover Award from Bristol-Myers Squibb for his expertise in the field of fungal biofilms, and the Billy Cooper Award from the Mycological Societies of the Americas for his contribution to the field of clinical mycology.

Richard A. Miller, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Pathology at the University of Michigan. He received his BA degree in 1971 from Haverford College, and MD and PhD degrees from Yale University in 1976-1977. After postdoctoral studies at Harvard and Sloan-Kettering, he began his faculty career at Boston University in 1982 and then moved to his current position at Michigan in 1990.
Dr. Miller has served in a variety of editorial and advisory positions on behalf of the American Federation for Aging Research and the National Institute on Aging, and served as one of the Editors-in-Chief of Aging Cell. He is the recipient of the Nathan Shock Award, the Allied Signal Award, the Irving Wright Award, an award from the Glenn Foundation, and the Kleemeier Award for aging research. He has been a Senior Scholar of the Ellison Medical Foundation, and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the Association of American Physicians. At Michigan, he directs the Paul F. Glenn Center for Aging Research.
His research program includes ongoing studies of the mechanisms that link stress, nutrients, and hormones to delayed aging in mice, development of new approaches to slow aging and disease through drugs and targeted mutations, and studies of the ways in which cells from long-lived birds, rodents, and primates differ from those of short-lived species.

Dr. Brager is a neurobiologist with expertise in sleep and circadian rhythms. She works on human and animal models of study. This work examines substrates and mechanisms of resiliency to extreme environmental stress (exercise, jet lag, and sleep deprivation). She has several leadership and service positions for the federal government, professional research societies, and university departments. At present, she sits on fatigue management and neuroenhancement working groups through NATO, US Special Operations Command, the Office of the Army Surgeon General, and inter-government (DoD, NASA, FAA, NHTSA, NIH). She has also written military training doctrine on holistic health and co-authored the first edition of the NCAA student-athlete mental health handbook. She has served on the Board of Directors and have chaired committees for the Sleep Research Society, the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms, and Gordon Research Conferences. In addition to > 40 peer-reviewed publications in flagship society journals, Dr. Brager has written op-ed and column pieces for Science and professional society bulletins, have been on many podcasts, and have a popular science book entitled Meathead: Unraveling the Athletic Brain. Dr. Jesse Morse is board-certified in family and sports medicine and specializes in injuries and musculoskeletal pain. He uses a combination of traditional orthopedic medicine with regenerative medicine to provide an all-inclusive approach to injuries. Rather than providing a temporary solution, Dr. Morse identifies the root of the pain, and designs a treatment plan to comprehensively correct the cause and provide a solution. Dr. Miller received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Vassar College, his M.D. from the Brown University School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago. He then completed his Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine with the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.
Dr. Miller joins UH from the Chicago area where he led a successful private practice for the past 15 years. He has designed curricula in master's and doctoral programs in integrative physiology, pediatrics, medical communications, and public health and is an active participant and leader in numerous state and national medical associations.
