    NOVEMBER 2024

I’m currently in Tirana, Albania, and it’s been amazing to settle into a great routine. From savoring incredible traditional dishes to exploring breathtaking spots like Djit Mountain and Bunk’Art 2, every moment has been a blend of discovery and balance. Whether it’s hitting the gym, indulging in comfort food, or taking time to relax and recharge, I’m reminded how important it is to embrace life’s rhythm. With big changes ahead, I’m gearing up to leave Tirana and head to Portugal—starting in Porto and then diving into new adventures in Faro.

    OCTOBER 2024

I just wrapped up an unforgettable stay in Istanbul, and I can’t wait to share some highlights with you. The highlight was the golden hour boat cruise on the Bosphorus with the city’s skyline glowing in the sunset—definitely one for the memory books. I also checked out the Pera Museum’s collection of Turkish art and found a bit of peace in Gezi Park amid the city’s hustle.

Now I’m back in Tirana, Albania, soaking up fall vibes in the trendy Biloku neighborhood. It’s like déjà vu from last year, revisiting favorite spots and uncovering new ones. It’s good to be back, and there’s so much to see!

    SEPTEMBER 2024

This month, I’m diving into my first impressions of Istanbul. The flight from Manchester, UK was a breeze, but getting settled was a marathon—long drives, airport chaos, and finding my Airbnb with its 137 steps (hello, daily leg workout!). But the sea view? Totally worth it.

Istanbul’s got this incredible vibe, split between its bustling European side and the laid-back Asian side. I’ve been exploring Istiklal Avenue’s lively energy, enjoying Turkish ice cream (dondurma), and soaking in the views from the Galata Tower. Navigating the language barrier has been an adventure in itself, but that’s all part of the fun, right?

There’s still so much to see and do, like booking a boat cruise to explore more of the city. Stick around as I share more stories, tips, and a few laughs from my time in this incredible place. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

Considered among the oldest towers in the world and one of the symbols of İstanbul, Galata Tower (Galata Kulesi) was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2013.

    AUGUST 2024

I traveled from Manchester to Cologne, and despite the heat, I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Being my first visit, I’ve put together a list of pros and cons. Splitting my time between Bonn and Cologne gave me a well-rounded view of the area, and both cities have so much to offer.

One highlight was visiting the Beethoven House, where you can explore the very home where he spent the first four years of his life. And Bonn Minster, with its stunning Romanesque architecture, is an absolute must-see.

    JULY 2024

I've settled into my routine, my allergies are gone, and I'm exploring more of the city, even though it's a bit chilly and cloudy.

I experienced an authentic British Sunday roast, a tradition that's been around since medieval times. It’s all about families coming together for a hearty meal, and I’ll share a bit of its history.

I also visited the Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds, a fascinating place filled with medical history and interactive exhibits.

I love my train day trips, so one day I took a trip to York. I visited the stunning York Minster, strolled through the medieval Shambles, had a delicious lunch at the Earl Grey Tea Rooms, and explored the York Castle Museum. I'll share all the details of my day, including a stop for a cold beer at Pavement Vaults.

And finally, I'm ready for a new adventure. Next stop: Cologne, Germany. It’s a city full of history and amazing architecture.

In the latest episode of my podcast, I bid a temporary farewell to Portugal, leaving behind the sunny streets of Lisbon but carrying cherished memories with my filmmaking group. Now, I find myself in rainy Manchester, England, where my journey seamlessly continues. Embracing acting opportunities, I've already landed roles in two student films, including one where I battle monsters and another as a detective. A day trip to Halifax offers picturesque train rides and a chance to update my actor headshots. Settling into my new Airbnb, just a short tram ride from the city center, I'm finding comfort in routine and local coffee shops while eagerly anticipating the adventures that lie ahead in this new chapter. As the year draws to a close, I find myself back in Lisbon, reminiscing about the events of 2023. While my Airbnb experience hit a snag, a move to Estoril, Portugal, brought a satisfying resolution. So, I just went from a small town near the Adriatic Sea up to Tirana, the capital city of the country. What a change! I'm fully embracing it and really enjoying it.

I'm staying in a wonderful neighborhood called Blloku. The Blloku neighborhood is a vibrant area that has undergone significant transformation in recent years. Originally a restricted zone during the communist era, reserved for government officials and party elites, Blloku has evolved into a bustling hub of trendy cafes, restaurants, shops, and nightlife. It is now a symbol of Tirana's modernization and a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The best part is that it's within walking distance to my favorite coffeeshops, my gym, and all the monuments you need to see!

As summer slowly comes to a close here in Yorkshire, it's been an absolute blast! These past few months have been a delightful mix of adventure, discovery, and happiness. This marks my third English summer, and I must say, I'm feeling right at home. The weather has been quite agreeable. The north England cities of Leeds, Manchester, and Liverpool are very different from each other. I've spent time in all three, and they all have positives and a few negatives.

In this interview, I asked some people which city they preferred. Not a real scientific poll, but I think their answers give a pretty clear idea as the what each city is like.
