My mom stopping whooping me when I was 10. Unless I stepped waaaaaay out of my place and we both knew I knew better. I didn’t get hit. I’m from a different culture around parenting.

So, hi. It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me.
I’ve picked up and put down the idea of doing a podcast a few times now. Once was related to pop culture and entertainment, the 2nd related to shadow work I’d done over the pandemic. I wasn’t able to complete either of those projects due to be trapped in an abusive relationship with my father
Understand that I, Anissa Rochelle Johnson am not making a report, that responsibility has been left to my medical team, any questions regarding fraud, abuse, neglect or exploitation can be referred back to the recordings collected by my medical and legal representation.
Understand that everything said here is true under penalty of perjury.
Understand that anyone who is named in this podcast, is not named for the intent to seek legal repercussions.
This is the truth from the perspective of a person looking up at the world, rather than straight ahead.
I am a black woman, disabled, severely traumatized, and very empathetic.
I see things in nuance, not black and white. I explore technicalities.
I believe deeply in energy and kinetic motion, it is not just physical, there is weight to everything you do.
Cause and effect isn’t just “If you move this piece, this space opens up and you’ve got control of the board.”
It’s “This piece is holding up this piece and if you come at it straight on, the whole things gonna tumble, but if you start here and go at this angle you might be able to keep the tower together but be very careful.”
Do not listen to my truth with the intent to judge the parties involved. The truth doesn’t just belong to me. This is just how I kept swimming.

Tell me a little about the way you’re approaching boundaries as an adult? In general or in the scope of a disability, mental illness, whatever the case may be. I will leave a link for voice notes and you can even go to Facebook and send me a message.
