He had a goal. Become Nottingham's first serial killer! He wanted the infamy of becoming a serial killer. So, he did, preying on 2 homeless women, and a woman who was actually sympathetic to the plight OF the homeless. He was a total serial killer wannabe.
He boasted about his murders to anyone who would listen, and even continued boasting in prison. We rip this chucklehead to shreds.

He killed a teenager named Chris Steiner, by kidnapping him, and forcefully breaking his bones. He died of internal bleeding, and Joe dumped himin a river. His murder would be unsolved for a year, until Joe did the same thing to Thad Phillips. But, Thad survived, and escaped. That would later survive a shooting. He had to be a descendant of Michael Malloy. Join us for this amazing story of survival!

Hey, everyone.. We’re going to Wisconsin to cover a really sick individual named Steven Zelich. He was a sadistic killer, who took BDSM a little too far, and his online screen name was Mr Handcuffs. He was a cop in Wisconsin, who lost his job because of multiple complaints from women, specifically strippers about him stalking them.
But, he soon amped up his routine, grooming women to come to him from other parts of the country to be dominated, and controlled by him.
He was very specific in what he wanted these women to do before coming to him. He basically had them erase themselves from society.
One day, 2 suitcases were found on the side of the road, and they both contained a dead woman. Great police work both by the actual police, and an internet sleuth friend of one of the victims led the police to Steven Zelich, and once the DNA evidence was uncovered, there was literally nothing he could say in his defense.
So, join us on this amazing case about how great police work, and a killer’s stupidity saved the lives of other potential victims.

We're covering a serial killer doctor, Michael Swango. Dubbed by his college medical school classmates, working on actual patients as Double 0 Swango, License to Kill, he slipped through the cracks because he had the highest body count of any other student.
But, that didn't stop him from becoming a doctor on an internship, as well as an ambulance medic, where he began poisoning his coworkers food and drinks. Before too long, the jig was up, and he fled to Zimbabwe, where he continued his murderous habit. Ultimately, he was brought to justice, but this is a crazy story.

Tonight, we’re going back to the Canada binge, and episode 104, the Insane Canadian Cult, His Rest Christian Fellowship, led by sadistic cult leader, Rima Ailing. She was horrible. I recommend you go back and listen to that episode before listening to this one, if you haven’t yet.
But the story didn’t end when Ep 104 did. It went on for another 20 years, and I’m joined tonight by Desti, who was born into this cult to the Haywards, who talked about (Not very nicely) in Ep 104. She is Nate’s little sister.
She bravely tells her story about growing up in the cult in its second chapter, and in many ways, the second chapter was worse than the first. BUT, this story has the most satisfying end of any cult story I’ve ever heard.
Desti is amazing, and I admire her. So, once again, buckle up for an insane story, but at least this one has a happy ending.

William Darrell Lindsey is a lesser known serial killer from Florida. But he definitely is a heavy hitter. And, a sadistic one as well. He was another woman hater who fixated on sex workers. His biological parents were killed in a car accident when he was 3 months old. He survived, but likely suffered a headinjury.
He was adopted by a family, where the mother was an extremely ultra religious sadist who beat him relentlessly. He married an extremely toxic and abusive woman, and had 5 kids with her. The marriage wouldn't last, and his wife tried to get the kids, and evenkidnapped them. William was seen by the kids as the hero.He remarried, then became abusive to his new wife. Officially, he didn't start murdering until he was 48. He murdered 7 sex workers in Florida, and one in North Carolina. Author, Willis Morgan was in the Sears in Hollywood, FL on July 27, 1981, where he had a disturbing encounter with a strange and creepy man. He watched the man go into Sears, and to the toy department. Later that day, when the news reported that a young boy, Adam Walsh had been abducted, Willis knew it had to be that guy who did it. The police began their "investigation" and were intent to pin the murder on Ottis Toole, despite multiple people reporting they had seen a blue van. Toole had a white Cadillac. And, it was found out that Toole wasn't even in Florida on the date in question, despite Toole confessing to it. Then, Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested. And when his mugshot and photo went out, Morgan and other witnesses knew that it was Dahmer who had abducted Adam.Morgan went into detective mode, and put together a laundry list of evidence, even tracking down the location where the murder might have taken place. The HPD went into overdrive trying to get Morgan to go away. Keith Hunter Jesperson aka The Happy Face Killer was a Canadian born US Serial killer. He was a long haul truck driver, and used that occupation as a cover for his hobby. He had an abusive father, who he blamed for his issues. He would taunt the police and media with detailed letters about his murders. He ultimately turned himself in when he knew the jig was up, but not before killing at least 8 women.
In a plot twist, when his first murder was discovered, a woman, who was allegedly in an abusive relationship tried to frame her boyfriend for the murder, and wound up implicating herself for it, and both people served 5 years for a murder that they did not commit. When Keith confessed, they were let out.

Jerry Brudos had issues. Born to a mother who made it known that she hated him because he wasn't born a girl, he never stood a chance. He started with his shoe obsession at 5 years old innocently enough, but his mothers reaction to it, combined with losing the only 2 people who cared about him in a matter of months, his obsession escalated.
He began stealing shoes, and before too long, his obsession would grow to include women's undergarments along with the shoes. He began to have an urge to dominate women, which would lead to sexual assault, and later to murder. As an adult, he assaulted women, which led to a rape, before he killed 4 women, attempted to kidnap 2 more. He would take pictures of the women in distress, and in death, and he would rape the corpse too.

Tonight, we’re doing a cult! A lesser known cult that had its roots in the US, Canada, and elsewhere. A cult that had its own troubled teen industry camps set up to reprogram people...mostly kids who didn’t tow the line of the doctrine.
Sam Fife, and The Movement of God cult started in the early 1970s. It hit its peak in the late 70s, and ran strong into the 2000s, where it mostly fizzled out. This was a nasty one. It preached a sinless perfection doctrine, where in order to be a chosen one, you had to be completely without sin. But the cult leaders and elders were the ones who got to define what sin was. Child abuse was the norm, and pedophilia was blamed on the young female victim. They also taught faith healing.
None of the leaders ever were brought up on criminal charges, but the survivors of this cult have ALOT to say. So, join us in this episode. Its a good one.

Tonight, we’re going to Charlottesville, VA to cover a lesser known dumbass named Jesse Matthew, aka The Back To School Killer. This hulk of a man was a serial rapist, and very likely a serial killer too. He has been convicted of 2 murders, and 3 rapes, but he is suspected in MANY more. And, he got away with it for a while, until he graduated with honors from the BTK school of laying low. He literally went into the police station, and introduced himself.
He would show up in college towns around the beginning of the fall semester, when a new crop of students who didn’t yet know the lay of the land were arriving. This is a very interesting case, with lots of great police work at the end, when this guy finally went down. Bill is joined by Mark of Mental Illness Theater, and this was an awesome episode.
