On October 28th, 1943, the US Navy participated in an experiment involving the USS Eldridge, a Navy escort ship, at the Philadelphia Navy Yard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The experiment was intended to test the capability of rendering a Naval ship invisible to enemy radar. The results of the experiment would be so catastrophic that the Navy and the federal government buried all knowledge of the test. On this episode of Dark Matters Supernatural Radio we will investigate what took place at the Yard that day in 1943 and try to find some clear explaination for what happened in what has come to be known as "The Philadelphia Experiment."
