  • Is it ok to have dubious, slightly tyrannical oil-state owners of your club, if it means winning a league cup? Des and Lisa don't think so, although the majority of Totalsport’s callers, like Billy (Alan Davies) don’t seem to mind.

  • Is mental health in sport actually important, or is it just trendy to say so? When a sports reporter joins the show to plug his new book and pushes the importance of player welfare, Des and Lisa expose his hypocrisy, and remind him of his on-air bullying from a previous show.

Meanwhile, ex-pro Eddie Miller promotes his campaign to help footballers deal with abuse, bringing with him an anonymous, voice-altered player to read out some of the vitriol he’s received, to the embarrassed amusement of Lisa.
Darren Foster, host of the breakfast show phones in to tell the hosts that the game’s gone, and everyone has turned soft. Des gets his horoscope read by a faith healer, who also uses her skills to predict the coming weekend’s results.

Things go awry when Beebo’s machine learning sees him echoing the views of the station’s listeners and his popularity soars.
